How is this place rated so high? I've never been so disappointed ordering from a restaurant. The meats just taste like a lot of salt and not much of anything else. The chilli chicken was mushy and was 90% batter 10% chicken. The fried pork chops were tough, dry, and very salty. I had to throw away most of the food because I was so disgusted by it.

This place might not look the cleanest, and the old peeling photos of food on the wall don’t look too appetizing but don’t let that scare you away! It’s all about the taste, and the flavours. Super fresh and fantastic! You have to get the chicken balls and fried rice! Also, if you pay cash, its 20% off! Incredible. We will be going back soon!

Low-key perfect take-out. Quality and fairly priced. Keep this place going. Cash offers in store, call your order in, don't pay the doordash tax. Doesn't have that high gloss sheen that other establishments seem to be putting out there.

Arrived fresh and steaming hot. Wee bit greasy. Ordered thru skip. Chicken balls breading to chicken ratio off breading a little more than chicken on some. Chicken balls were not dry 🤤🤤. Chicken wings off the chain 🔥 perfect heat. The chicken veg mix was awesome not greasy. I told the restaurant upon ordering I wanted to poop fyah but there was not much of any spiciness to the food ☹️. Egg rolls are barely filled and mildly salty. Rice barely any veg or carcass. Be weary them "nugget things" next to chicken balls in pic contain bones 😑.

The food was not anywhere near I can ever be satisfied with what I paid. The Chili Chicken didn't even taste like real chicken, tasted like eating bread dipped in a source, and I bought fried rice along with it. This place doesn't even know the taste of fried rice. The awful fried rice ever I had in my entire life. The nearby Chinese superstore sells tastier Chinese food. This was my first time and never again.

Ordered two of these, which are the combination plates "C2". Placed the order over the phone, and the lady was pleasant that answered the phone. Delivery driver was also pleasant. My order was delivered to me hot, fast and fresh. - Rice was very tasty, not too dry, or oily. It was flavored well. - Chicken balls were delicious, has a nice crispy exterior, with a good size piece of chicken in it. - S&S Ribs were okay, but I prefer it to be boneless (for these type of bits and pieces) - Egg Roll was nice as well. Overall, as always....I'm very satisfied with this place because they offer great portion sizes for the price, and food always taste great. I would recommend that you try, if you haven't already. If it wasn't for me to read the reviews of this hidden gem, I wouldn't have tested it out. PS: Good Chinese food places have been closing down, there are only a few left. Help support the great ones such as this one.

I've ordered from this place many times before, but last few times, werent the greatest. I decided to hold off a about five to six months from ordering from them. Today I decided to try them again in hopes things gotten better. The rice was nice and tasty, not gross tasting like the past two times. Today was the first time I've tasted thier honey garlic ribs, and I'm surprised that they're very yummy, sweet and medium tender just the way I like it. Will definately be ordering the chicken w/ ribs again. Usually I place my order through Skip, but skip no longer accepts COD, so I had to call the store directly to place my order. The lady who answered the phone was VERY polite and sweet with excellent customer service. The delvery man, as always, was amazing. During these times, I'm going to make it a habit to support this local business at least once a week, and I hope others will do so as well.

This restaurant is my first choice site. Of all restaurants I know I prefere it most. I never miss an opportunity to go to visit this restaurant. Whenever I feel like having a special lunchon, this place comes right away to my mind. very good and all sorts of food and a rich menu.well mannered crew, and pleasant vibes. Also important, the charge is good. I tell about this place with pleasure.

Food is terrible! The chilli chicken does not taste like chicken (other meat). All food has 80% dough as filler so all you taste is dough. One of the worst places I have tried. Singapore noodles was good.

By far the best Chinese food I have found in the east end. Fresh ingredients. Very flavourful. This is our go-to spot. Highly recommended!

This is the best freshest Chinese food we've found in Scarborough and we love supporting local. Especially when the owner is sometimes delivering. Always fresh, including the fried food.

Very polite, food is okay. Ordered delivery, the food came hot and fresh. The only thing I will say the chicken so guy is very greasy and soggy. The lemon sauce is okay it doesn’t taste so much like lemon sauce.

Loved their food for the past two years. The past 4 months the food has gone down hill. Chicken tasted like it had been cooked before the chicken was dry with shards. My daughter had piece of chicken lodged in her gums. Ribs were terrible. Overall the food has gone down hill.

Amazing food & prices. Got 2 combos, Chili chicken & tempura Shrimp. Everything was amazing, good portions, good flavour and spices. They even gave us plates and a side sauce🥹. Our new spot

I moved back to Scarborough recently, and have been searching for an authentic Chinese food restuarant that wasnt HAKKA, Tim Choi 's was recommended to me from a friend. I was not disappointed, the food was great, service was great, we called our order in and picked it up. Also we got 10% off our order for paying cash, and offer 20% off on Sunday's.

First time trying this place and it's hands down the best Chinese food I've ever had. Deep fried foods are not greasy, broth in the wonton soup is delicious and there's about a hundred wontons in it. The broccoli is not overcooked, I could go on. I normally only give negative reviews but the food here is spectacular.

The food is pretty good, but the service could be better. The food takes forever to come out. Last time I was there, a large plant next to the ordering counter was drooping over and blocking where you order. The biggest reason for my low review comes from an apparent lack of cleanliness. A delivery driver walked into the back, rubbed his fingers in and on his nose, and then began handling food without washing his hands. Another patron called him out for this but I still don't think he ever washed his hands. I think the fact it's difficult to find them through Dinesafe is indicative of how clean their business is. You're better off going somewhere else where sanitization is seen as more important

This restaurant is my favorite. I go to a lot of restaurants but to this one I keep coming back again and again. The crew is very helpful and the food they offer is so delicious. I never decline to have a nice meal here. Highly recommended.

Clean place. Delicious food. I first ordered from Tim Choi from the phone book sight unseen. When I arrived to pick-up my order, I thought this is just a little hole in the wall - I've made a mistake. Was I WRONG! I don't mope about the loss of the Silver Dagon anymore. Huge wontons with filling, szechuan delight really is a delight, ginger beef, lemon chicken, General Tao.... all great! I order enough so we can have leftovers the next day.

I was recommended this place for ordering out. The portions are a good size, the prices for the family meals are great,plus we have left overs for the next day. The service is good , fast and food piping hot.

Food was terrible (dangerous?)! It appears to have been contaminated with disinfectant. We probably should contact Toronto Public Health to report it. This place is closed more often than it is open. Which must bring into question the freshness of the food.

My family and I have been customers of Tim Choi for over 12 years. We order from here every week as part of our weekly take out. The portion sizes are very generous, the food is always delicious, and the prices are very reasonable. We have become very close with the owners and staff, who are all wonderful people. A very well deserved 5 stars!!

Fantastic Chinese Food

I ordered the combo 8 which is 6 wings, an egg roll and lo main noodles and a hot and soup soup. I like that they offer the options when it comes to the spice level. The portions are generous and flavourful. My only wish would be for this place to offer more combo options involving noodles as the vast majority is fried rice. Otherwise, this place makes really good Chinese food. Great job!
