Update since they have moved. I am not sure about the quality or if the same people are cooking it. Maybe because I ordered shrimp but the roti was Manila bread with a little pocket of shrimp and potato. The double was abnormally stuffed with something I’ve never had. Full of little seeds. Just wasn’t what I was used to. Mind you I went 3 days after they opened. A little hesitant to go back now as that order was wasted. And it’s not cheap to go wasting that food I spent over 20 and was only able to drink the drink.

I had to come edit since the owner is a coward as has it set so you can’t reply to his nasty comments. First off, you said your roti is $7 buck in your reply? You don’t even know your items pricing? Or your trying to sound like you offer a better deal? It’s $14+ and what are you talking about with your McDonald’s comment? I came to your restaurant to give it a try. I actually gave you 2 stars and said it taste good in my review, just that it needed some more chicken in it. These comments are constructive criticism and that’s how you reply to your customers!? Better find a new job since this restaurant of yours won’t be around to much longer. If you’re a customer and you’re reading this, just read some of the owners replies under other comments, this guy is out of his mind. Original review: The only reason I’m giving this place 2 stars is because the taste of the no bone chicken roti was good. Having said that, it was all wrap and hardly any chicken, only potatoes as filling, and for that price, it’s not worth it. The double was slapped together and flavourless.

I’ve only ever purchased from the old location but based on the replies to the customers by the owner, nah I’m good. Try and do better if you want a loyal clientele, your attitude and absurd disrespect to the customers in your reviews is ridiculous, most owners want a successful business, not to be a running joke on the internet, blah blah cost of food goes up, we know that but guess what? Kindness won’t cost you anything

I have not have your doubles for quite some time now. It used to be the best pace to go for doubles in the GTA.Yes prices have increased but your standard of quality have decreased substantially. Today I found a stone as well as many hard chickpeas in the doubles. I am also sorry to say that the taste is not the same as it used to be.

Been going here for a long long time. It used to be great. I would always big them up and was excited that they were moving to the new location. But yesterday was an overall horrible experience with even worse food. I would never take a chance again. I’ve been so sick since eating it. As is everyone in my family who ate it. Vomiting and more. I should’ve known when I looked at it, not eat it. It did not look good. But after spending almost $50. I didn’t want to just throw it all away. I’m not sure what’s happened to this place. But on top of the food making me sick, the service was really bad. I agree with the many earlier reviews about the young lady at the counter. Sir, you can defend her all you want and send everyone over to McDonalds or Wendy’s or all the other restaurants you sarcastically recommend. but he’s absolutely right, those places actually care about the reputation of their businesses. And Yes, there may be people who will still keep coming to your restaurant after the bad service, the ruthless responses to reviews, the poor serving sizes, the tricks with the pricing. But if you keep serving reheated, old, not fresh food that makes people sick. You won’t be keeping them for long. If anyone else has gotten sick please let Dinesafe know. And don’t worry Sir, I won’t be returning so you don’t have to threaten to refuse me entry.

Doubles were good; however, the customer service needs a lot of improvement. The girls in the front not only aren’t really pleasant but also don’t really care for people who are waiting for their orders. Me and another customer were waiting 40+ mins for simple orders (she had a plate and two doubles and had to wait 50 mins, I had 5 doubles and waited 40 minutes). But the point is that the orders were ready but sitting in the kitchen only when we asked they brought it out. Edit : originally gave 2 stars but due to restaurant’s embarrassing reply changing to 1 star and yes, will spend my money elsewhere.

Ordered Jerk chicken and curry chicken. When me and my Daughter tried the Jerk Chicken, it wasn't even edible my whole pallette was burning and my Daughter had tears in her eyes and on the receipt, it stated "SLIGHT PEPPER" which obviously wasn't as the "so-called" cook most likely accidentally dropped the Pepper container in his POT as it was not even edible to the say the least unless you wanted to CHOKE. Chicken was buried in this horrid and SPICY sauce. This JERK CHICKEN cost $18.99 plus Taxes, delivery, and Uber Service charges. I've had jerk chicken elsewhere and it wasn't even half the spiciness of this one. I'm really surprised they obviously don't taste their food before serving it. FOOD is LOW class as well as Presentation! Yucky!

Well, first time in the new location. Coming from Bayview and Hwy 7. Food was in a word stupendous. Had 5 doubles, 2 large Shrimp roti, 1 Goat Roti, and Pepper Shrimp Fried rice. Everything was soooo tasty. Total price was $89 and change, a bit steep but really worth it for a treat.Wish you guys would open up a shop in Markham or North Scarborough? We have to travel sooo far to get that goodness you guys are serving. btw. That mural is a fantastic bit of art work!!!!! Thanks so much.

It was nice and clean and service was good. The small chix roti was good, We got the sampler plate, which is awesome, but a disappointment. The doubles failed to meet the high standards they have at Rexdale location. The bara was way to thin and chickpeas was cold, didn't help that chutney in it was cold too. The phlourie was nice and big, but tasteless. Why flour down the chickpea batter? Everything else was ok, nothing to write home about. BUT if it wasnt for the side tamarind sauce and hot sauce this would have been wasted. The lady asked 3 times during that 1 stay for a review. 1# don't serve cold food when it is intented to be hot. 2# Saying anything else is not helping your add-on sales, try recommending food or drinks to go with order... think of McDonald's, would you like fries with that? Outside of that, I may comeback in a few weeks to just try a double to see if changes made. IG Tasti_trini

Returning to scarborough after 5 years my first stop was the new location for drupatis. Its nice to see that in the 10+ years i have been eating here the quality never changes. Had doubles saheena and aloo pie and it was all fantastic and the same amazing flavours i miss now that i live on the west coast. Will be back many times before i head west next month.

Trinidadian food anyone? Was taken to this restaurant at Scarborough by a Trinidadian friend for lunch. MMMMM. The taste of the food is so Indian (India) with a twist. tried their famous Double, basically Chole Bhature in a different form. Sweeter, (remember they love their sugarcane). The Veg thali had several choices and we chose spinach (Bhaji) along with potatoes. Eaten with a crumpled Lachha kind of a paratha. The chicken was again sweetish but came accompanied with a Dal Paratha. Their parathas are different too so be prepared. The restaurant has a good ambience but a skeletal staff so be prepared for waits. And asking for small things like a glass of water or cutlery. You are supposed to eat with your hands - Indian style. Trinidadian food anyone? You can't do better that Drupati. And oh yes. They have Hakka Chinese too.

Fresh, spicy and delicious!! This place has the best doubles that I've tried yet! The doubles are light, filling and not greasy. The channa is saucy without being totally messy. And their hot pepper sauce...mmmhmmm! I bought a large bottle cuz I put that pepper sauce on everything!

Good West Indian fare . The mini roti at lunch are great . I enjoy the goat curry here . Doubles are really good here . You can add meat to your doubles . Lots of space to dine in. The also make a smaller Roti as well as regular ones.

Very friendly staff and clean restaurant. Got the boneless chicken curry with rice. Nice portion and presentation. Food was ok Returned today to try something different. Tried the bone in curry goat with rice. This was so much better than the curry chicken. Very flavourful and tender. The food does require the addition of pepper sauce.

The dine in portions are a lot. I'm not complaining though. You get what you pay for. It was delicious. I forgot to ask for pepper sauce on the side but that was my fault. The doubles are still absolutely yummy as well. I also got the tofu and vegetables and it was really good. Sorry I don't know the girl's name at the counter but she's really friendly. I apologize for not knowing or asking her name. She made us feel comfortable. She didn't rush us when we were trying to figure out what we wanted. Will definitely go again

The Indian influence on Trinidad and Tobago's food is an integral part of the country's cultural identity. Dishes like roti, doubles, pholourie, and curry reign supreme, blending the aromatic spices of Indian cuisine with local ingredients to create a unique and mouthwatering culinary experience.

Wanted to go to the Original location..but they moved here....opened 28 years ago. Friendly service and fast..offered Sunday buffet...same price as the Roti almost. Had the boneless chicken Roti...grab the extra gravy if you like it saucy. Meat portions were huge chicken breast, gravy was nicely spiced and not hot, Druphati was thin, not burnt and warm...perfection..most places overfill on potatoes and extra thick Druphati....

Got their doubles ,I'd say they're one of the better doubles in the east end. Other spots just have chickpea and roti, no sort of sauce or extra kick. I'll def be coming back, only complaint would just be the doubles were fall apart but other than that really good

Don’t ever come here! If you do, please pay careful attention of the price charged on your receipt! They added $2 to the menu price for each of the item. There was a small sheet of paper saying that due to minimum wage increases they’ll add an additional $1 to all prices. Yet, they added $2! Their excuse was that the prices are subject to change. What a scam! It was my first time and I will never come here again.

Chicken curry/Curry Chicken... doesn't matter to me! I prefer their goat, lamb, and, best of all, their duck curry! Service is friendly, but they need to get rid of those plastic baskets they serve dhalpouri in! Just wrap it in some wax paper or serve it on a smaller plate. Still 5 stars for the quality AND quantity of the food they serve!👍🏽

I came here during lunch and the man taking my order gave me roti instead of rice, in an instant he corrected his mistake and let me keep the roti chicken along with my correct order. Food was amazing. I got a doubles order without ordering actual doubles 🤣🤣 Thanks!! You guys rock!!

I have only ordered a few things here so far. Doubles are the absolute best I have had in Scarborough. The wedding size paratha is a hit and miss .Sometimes it’s perfect , sometimes it’s a bit undercooked so I have to cook it over. Used to like the crab & dumpling but haven’t ordered it in a while. Tried the Chinese lunch and it definitely was not for me. Rice was hard and the smokiness overpowered the taste. Really wish they would get the “pepper “ correct. If you ask for slight you won’t get any, if you ask for medium they would literally cover it in pepper and if you pay for it on the side so you can do it yourself you can guarantee they will forget to include it.

Was there today for take-out vegetarian food. Food was great. No complaints. Service was awesome. And the restaurant was clean, bright and big. Next time I shall dine-in. There was quite a wait for my order because they're a busy establishment but food is fresh and tasty! See you soon!

Ordered via Uber eats pretty close to closing and was pleasantly surprised that the food was still warm and fresh tasting. Everything was delicious, recipes were unique to the restaurant. Tried the curries, as well as the appetizers/sides. Doubles were messy as people have mentioned, but doubles are a messy food in nature, still great! Definitely recommend trying them out.

Excellent Custom Service! Excellent Food. I did however misunderstood one this with the Special Chicken Fried Rice with Chicken on Top … I was offered Shrimp on top for $5 more … I thought I was getting the fried chicken on top as well as the additional pepper shrimp offered for the extra $5. But to my surprise it was just shrimp on top, no chicken. But all in all, a great vibe when entering and very spacious layout. Thanks again!

First time for me at their new location. The portions were filling and tasted great. We ordered a boneless chicken roti and a veg platter, both tasted great. The service at the counter left something to be desired, not rude, but not helpful either. Can't wait to come back!

I've eaten here twice, today and back when they first opened up. Both times had the shark and bake which is consistently good - tender shark, sweet sauce, soft bake, crunchy cucumbers, good portion size. Doubles are good, as well as mango curry which isn't too sweet, more spicy. Paratha was okay. Today, had a small curry each of lamb and bone-in chicken, and I guess small is the child portion size but it isn't worth the $15. Also lamb curry could be a bit stronger. Overall, good flavours all around, and I would eat here if just for the bake and shark and doubles, and next time I'd go for the large size of curry.

I love this place regardless. I ordered doubles and aloo pie I asked for EXTRA pepper sauce. now the girl looked at me funny.. when I said it. and there was NO pepper on any of my items. my aloo tastes like they don't clean the aloo at all. the doubles were fine but again NO PEPPER. your shop looks amazing with the updates and the new location

Went for an pick up on time there was a cashier girl She started scolding at me and told me to get out from the shop with some abusive words I was wondering what wrong did I do. And I’m 100% sure she is just a worker She treated me very rude and I complain to the other staff who works there Poor customer service This note is to the owner of the shop You will easily loose your business if you have rude frontline workers Check CCTV FOOTAGE FOR 10-10.30am 14th September

I have been a customer at this establishment for many years. I regularly go there on the weekends for their amazing doubles! I just wanted to shout the phenomenal service I receive every time from the cashiers. They have always been such a pleasure to deal with and I think they need a raise! Keep up the great work ladies!

  • 3/5 Anil R. 2 years ago on Google
Food is great..no doubt. Cashier was polite (but so serious..no smile or ‘warmth’ at all) and order was prepped in about 20 mins..not bad. Also, they forgot to include 2 items in my order so it’s a good thing I checked before leaving. Also, prices are on the higher side for smallish portions. Restaurant felt a bit gritty but not overly. An okay experience.
