Food is amazing... price is on the spot with the amount of servings. Just waited a bit for the delivery through skip the dishes but the quality and quantity of the food made it worth it. Mussels were great and crab legs wow. Can't wait to order again for Christmas dinner. 👍👍

Easy to locate it’s right by the road. Large parking space , depending on the one and sh , parking was relatively easy for us on a Wednesday at 7pm. Amazing customer services, we went in to order a takeout , the wait was about 20min and the food was ready. We ordered the fried rice and the lobster boil. The fried rice was really good !! . The lobster came with sides and we chose two sides of corn, as a corn lover I was shocked that it meant to small corn in it. B

The whole meal was in disposable containers and was not appealing for a date night. You really nice to offer plates it is a sit down restaurant not a take out street food. How was I suppose to eat my rice. $150 for two people. This is like take out dinner and that is even a stretch. Rolling a garbage bin through a restaurant is disgusting.

Great place for saucy seafood! Beware, it might get messy so don't get too dressy, ask for gloves and bib and chow down! Don't over order cause these bags can really fill you up! Check their board for their market prices. Service was good. Dining room was spacious Unfortunately they didn't have any beer on tap.

Seafood lovers go-to place!! Must try. Delicious food and its more fun when we go in groups. Love cajun seasoning medium spicy. Calamari for starters is a must try. Everything we tried was soo good, we have already been back to Captain boils multiple times. Lovely customer service, decent ambience, neat washrooms. Will definitely recommend.

Visited captains boil for a birthday celebration. We ordered drinks, snow crab legs, calamari and bacon wrapped scallops. We ordered the captains boil and garlic sauces mild and they had enough flavors and spice. The staff, Keith and John were great and we received a surprise for the birthday girl. The food was fresh and good portions. We would visit again definitely.

Great food as always. I was one of the first people to dine at the very first captains boil back in 2015/16 with my family. But the service in this location needs work. One of your servers is quite incompetent at his job. Has a bad attitude right off the bat and later on forgot my order and when I tried to get his attention he kept getting distracted. Eventually I got my order right when I’m almost done eating. And the cherry on top was when he double charged me for my drink. I had to call and find out and come back about the charge and get a refund. This whole time it was just a table of one. His name was Andrew. He needs retraining on service, maturity, manners, focus at his job and professionalism. John however fixed the issue and was quite polite. You need more severs like him. Great food but your servers need supervision. Don’t let bad attitude ruin your solid business model. Good luck!

I love the atmosphere here but it can be a bit dark. The food is quick and simple. The flavour here is extravagant and the best seafood boil you can get. I got the sizzling plate which was flavourful and delicious. The server was friendly and helpful.

Got a piece of paper in the food bag with snow crab legs, not in between two bags, but inside the food. Followed up with the manager, they offered $10 off for the next order, but mind that I had to discard the full bag. I sent pictures to their corporate email, they never got back to me, so I guess I will post them here. Update: It was resolved to my satisfaction.

Came here because my usual place for fish and chips was taking last order at 830pm for dinner in. I noticed these guys were open till 10pm. I was a bit nervous because I saw some negative reviews when I pressed on the recent reviews tab; but saw that sandwiched with some great reviews. When I got here in the Scarborough location for the first time at 845pm the parking lot was almost empty and the restaurant was empty except for a few people at one table. I figured I’d give it and try it. I’m glad I did. Lots of fish meat in the fish and chips. Is not the traditional halibut slab… but for the price, quality and service it was good. Slightly greasy, but not overly. Generally all fried fish will be slightly greasy. I will def come back again and waitress recommended the shrimp fried rice for next time.. will def try that (: All and all… fish and chips was great 😊

They have really good seafood here. The whole place is an experience, you get aprons and gloves to eat with. The food is served hot and right off the stove and they have a variety of sauces you can get and heat levels. Great place to eat with family or a group of friends.

John was our server! He was great, really kind and attentive. We ordered Snow Crab (really fresh!), Bacon Wrapped Scallops, and Calamari (delicious). [The bacon wrapped scallops were amazing. Everything was cooked to perfection! The bacon was so yummy and churchy…. would def recommend trying!!!] The manager (possibly) Keith surprised my sister with a $20 gift card which was really nice and a huge surprise; it was her Birthday. She also ended the night was a scoop of ice cream on the house. What a wonderful night. Thank you so much!

This location has always been my favorite! It's been a while since I've visited but I was pretty happy with my visit back after over a year. Staff was friendly, food and service was awesome! And the menu also updated with a new sizzling plate option (sizzling plate is my fav thing there)! Can't wait to go back :)

Honestly I love captains boil. The food was so good. But the service honestly dissolves the hard work of the the kitchen staff. I don't know what my group did to the staff there considering this was our first time at the location. They were not bothered to show us our table despite the restaurant being empty. They were really cold and not friendly at all. It seemed like they were paying for our food. They didn't have a plate or those bibs we usually get. ( I really don't get how they ran out of plates in a restaurant) Always love captains boil for the amazing service and food in the other locations. But the staff could honestly use some workshops on being friendly. Was so hurt that I didn't want to take pictures of the food either which was again, really good. Maybe it was a bad afternoon,who knows. But there's always hope of things changing.

It was well-seasoned, maybe a little too salty like the other parts of the meal, but fresh and not overcooked. 1 lb Clams - Lemon Pepper, Mild ⭐ 6/10 The clams were too salty and made them hard to enjoy. The uncracked pieces of pepper were also teeth shattering. The Captain's Fried Rice (Seafood) ⭐ 9/10 You could really taste the butter in the rice. I enjoyed the flavourful but not too overpowering flavour of the rice that paired well with the boil. Keep in mind that the seafood is only shrimp. We wanted to try the sausage but that was out of stock. Shrimp Basket ⭐ 9/10 The shrimp was nice and crispy, and I enjoyed the tartar sauce that came with it, but they were a little too oily. It comes ontop of a pile of cajun fries which were nicely seasoned. Premium Side: Okra ⭐ 10/10 It's a vegetable, it's delicious. It's not seasoned though which was fine with me. Regular Side: Corn ⭐ 8/10 It was unfortunate that the sausage was out of stock but even more odd that the potato was out of stock too. So we ended up asking for corn as the second regular side. I'm not sure if 1 side of corn comes with 1 cob but we only got 2 cobs in total. I would have liked it cooked without butter. Overall, I recommend this experience if it's new to you. For the price, you get more than enough for 2 people. I would get the shrimp again and hopefully the sausage will be in stock. I had an enjoyable time at this establishment. The servers were friendly and attentive.

I will never get bored of Captain’s Boil’s food 🤤 I ordered Sailor’s A which came with 1lb of shrimp, Cajun fries, and seafood fried rice. We added corn as a side. That deal is a steal for the price! My go to flavour is always captain’s boil sauce with medium spice. The location is pretty spacious and is a great location for gatherings of big groups; they even have a patio with string lights. The staffs were always checking up on us and service was amazing.

Had a great experience for my first time at Captains Boil. The staff was friendly and greeted us when we came in. They promptly assisted me to my seat once I told them about my reservation. When we sat down, our server introduced herself, and asked if we had any questions on the menu and if we wanted to have anything to drink. She was able to answer all of our questions, including the specials, price differences etc (she was basically very knowledgeable about the menu and restaurant) The food came promptly after we ordered and wow, I was excited to get down and dirty with my hands. We ordered everything mild with the captains boil sauce (which tasted amazing). Everything was hot, and the sauce was very flavourful! The hardest part was keeping our phone and clothes clean, and grabbing napkins haha. Will definitely come back again in the future for another feast. Thank you for making our experience great! We have been fans of The Captain’s Boil since they opened several years ago. We haven’t been to this location yet but, we have ordered delivery from it. The seafood was fresh just like other locations but, we feel that the mix of the three sauces wasn’t as well balanced as compared. We tried the Crayfish from here for the first time and, although it could be just a matter of taste, we didn’t like it as much as other proteins. Overall, if it was a bit more affordable, I think that The Captain’s Boil would be unbeatable.

This is my first time here , Tammy was very friendly and welcoming, made sure everything is perfect.. place is super clear washrooms as well, lovely indoor decor, has lots of food choices , we got a lunch offer everything was fantastic! Good job

My recent visit to Captain's Boil was exceptional. They have all you can eat shrimp, mussels, and fries for $42.99 until the 23rd of November! The sauce tonight was perfect! The service was top-notch, from the warm welcome to the attentive staff who ensured our experience was fantastic. The seafood was incredibly fresh, perfectly cooked, and bursting with flavor. The atmosphere was lively, adding to the overall enjoyment of the meal. A definite must-visit for seafood enthusiasts and anyone seeking not only delicious food but also an outstanding dining experience. Extra special thanks to Andrew for going above and beyond with his warm hearted and fun energy, making us feel welcomed and making our experience so much better.

We tried to to go twice to the Ajax location and it was closed both times. So decided to drive to this one and was not dissapointed. Good and knowledgeable service, great food. We tried a wide variety of things. Cajun sauce was the favorite. The poutine and the calamari was great too. A few items on the menu was not available but we enjoyed the meal nevertheless.

I love seafood. Captain’s Boil is my go to. My all time favourite is their Cajun shrimp with two sides, medium spicy. This time I ordered 1lb mix and match shrimp and clams, Cajun flavour, medium spicy. Two sides were corn and steamed rice. Very yummy as always. You’ll pay the market price for the seafood. I’d say moderately reasonable price. Staffs were friendly. Enough space inside, they have a patio and big parking lot. However the paper bibs kept ripping.

The 1lb of Clam also came with 2 sides, and we chose Corn for it! We got the Captain’s Boil sauce in Medium spice level for both, it was so delicious! Can never get enough of their sauce, the Seafood was fresh, Fries were crispy, and the Fried Rice was AMAZING!

Amazing food and great service.. It is an insane experience to eat the seafood with your hands. We had the crawfish, shrimp, mussels and clams, with different sauces.. The crawfish is from Louissiana and is perfect with Cajun and medium spice.

Very neat and accessible place. They provide generous portions and for fair rates. We liked the meals very much and the staff were super attentive and chatty. I recommend this place.

We just dined in tonight in this location for the very first time. Had visited the York Mills few times and the one in Yonge Street once and never had a problem not even once. This place is spacious and cozy though. So my daughter wanted to eat dungeness crab but the server said they don’t have it right now. He said they only have king crab and snow crab legs. We ended up ordering the Pirate’s Feast instead. One server seemed like impatient to get our order because we are still looking to the menu since they don’t have what we supposed to order. He just left us instead of helping us to decide what to order and make some suggestions maybe that made it fast for us to order. The place was not yet busy by the time we arrived. Another server came, after I waved my hand to get server’s attention to place my order this time. I was observing, some servers are not as warmth with others on dealing with their guests. But at least when we arrived one staff greeted us and escorted us to our table. With regards to food quality, I am not satisfied. We had a lobster but it was so hard to crack the claw. It was really tough! Meat was so thin too that you can hardly remove from its shell. Just like when you overcooked crab. This is overcooked lobster for sure! Plus, they also forgot to provide claw cracker on the table not until I asked. There were left over so I asked the server to pack it so we can take it home. I was so disappointed mostly to what happened to the three of us. Not even an hour past by from the time we came home, we all got an upset stomach. It started rumbling and all of us having diarrhea right now. I went to the washroom twice already and same with the rest of the family. We just ate here and did not even had anything before and after we had dinner here. I hope no other guests came out with the same issue we had tonight. We will not come back here that’s for sure. I hope diarrhea will stop soon. Still in pain 😢

I like the concept., no cutlery, less labor, and everything comes mixed with lots of oil (Negative for me) in a plastic pouch with a wastebasket, gloves, and no bibs here. I wish they have better options for excessive oil as it can cause heart burns. Overall satisfactory experience.

Food is always consistently amazing! Me and my sister came all the way from north Whitby just to eat here. Staff is incredible. They are always checking in on you and I always had my drink refilled. Manager is so great! She was so nice and polite. 100% recommend! Great experience, great food, great service!
