I've been here a few times but I've always forget to write a review and take a photo... This time I didn't forget. After a half day at work I was starving and I thought of a smoked meat sandwich to fill me up. SumiLicious was my number 1 pick in my area. Their smoked meat (made popular from Montreal) is as always served to perfection. I ordered today the smoked meat sandwich combo that comes with fries, coleslaw and a pickle. The cost just comes under $20 but you won't be disappointed and is a definitely a big meal to take in all at once. I am sure you won't be disappointed to try just once!

Being from Montreal, I had a lot of Schwartz's and the medium fat sandwich I had here was pretty similar except there was a bit less spices. One thing I didn't liked is that all the pops are 2.95$, but the Black cherry was 3.95$.. come on. Service was slower than what I'm used to

Stopped in here today for a smoked meat sandwhich. Bread was kinda soggy the meat itself was great I just ordered the sandwich and I was disappointed they don’t give you a pickle. Didn’t realize you had to order a combo. This is the first place I’ve ever been to where you don’t get a pickle with a smoked meat sandwhich. Other than that price point was fair 17 bucks after tax with a bottle of water. The poutine was really good my friend ordered one I had a little bit so I’m definitely getting that next time I come.

The Montreal smoked meat sandwich combo was good if a little messy. Messily made, messy to eat, falls apart easily. The bread was not cut evenly but there was a lot of meat. The taste was alright, not the best sandwich i have ever eaten but it was good when eaten with the coleslaw and pickle. I feel its overpriced. I was expecting something amazing from the reviews and pricepoint and personally a bit disappointed since it was only ok. I don't think i'll get it again. Its just something to try once for the experience.

I wandered in here looking for poutine, and I will forever be glad I did. For the uninitiated, “smoked meat” is not a generic term in this instance. It is a style of meat very similar to Jewish-American pastrami. However, it is not as sweet and much more peppery than American Pastrami. This particular smoked meat is like Texas-style brisket and New York pastrami had a baby. The result is a mouthwateringly tender brisket, cooked to perfection. I did indeed have their smoked meat poutine, and it did not disappoint. I also tried the smoked meat, sliced thick, al la carte. It was some of the best meat I’ve ever eaten. If you like pastrami and/or brisket, you have to stop by and get some. You won’t regret it.

Been coming here every now and then since they opened near my neighborhood. This place is essentially “Toronto Schwartz”. Love their smoked meat sandwiches and poutine is also good (wife likes to order it). Friendly owner and staff. Highly recommend Sumilicious.

Delicious. Perfect if you're craving Montreal smoked meat. Fries were soggy but the seasoning on them was really nice, a bit spicy in a good way. They even have the dark cherry Cotts.

Was looking forward to trying this place out after all the great reviews. UNFORTUNATELY, it was quite disappointing. The store proclaims that they hand slice their Smoked Meats. But what I got was chopped up and minced smoked meat ( felt like eating chunks of tuna out of a can) that fell apart before even taking a bite. The bread was so small it didn’t even cover the meat. There wasn’t even a slice of pickle that traditionally goes with a smoked meat sandwich?? On the positive side, they had good customer service and the place was clean.

Good customer service and very clean restaurant. There was a lineup as expected during lunch hours but orders were taken very efficiently and was moving fast. Waited around 5 mins once we placed our order. Smoked meat sandwich was fresh and true taste of the meat was great. Condiments added in the sandwich didn't over power the taste of meat. Great restaurant to try if you're in the area or not. Worth the drive to get a taste of true smoked meat.

I honestly don't know what more you could ask for. I am obsessed with smoked and/or cured meat - specifically brisket. Corned beef, Pastrami, Salt Beef, etc... Have tried a lot of deli's across the city. I regularly cure and cook my own meat. Never ate any this good. Top 5 sandwich in the city period. Best smoked meat easily.

Don’t have to drive all the way to Montreal for a proper smoked meat sandwich! Dined in here during pre-covid and the great quality hasn’t changed. Cut was the perfect amount of fat, meat was not dry at all. Best to eat right away, I had it right in the parking lot lol!

I'm a big Montreal smoked meat fan and this was the best one I've had in Toronto. Wasn't as good as the ones I've had in Montreal but, saved me a trip to Montreal and was a nice throwback. The service was very very quick which was great. Would love to go back for the smoked meat poutine

A great place for Montreal smoked meat and one of the few great delicatessens in Toronto. Great prices for good portions. Recently receiving the Michelin bib has made the spot very popular, but it's worth the wait. Large orders of smoked meat need to be ordered in advance

I still remember how good the smoked meat was till this day and it's been years! It's definitely comparable to Schwartz's. Love the flavour, how moist and fatty the meat is, the rye to meat ratio and it's so satisfying! If only it wasn't so far from me, I'd be there at least once a week!

The ~ $20 combo doesn't include any drinks. We ordered two combos but received only one. There was no prior notice about the restriction on outside drinks, yet they warned us when we began our dinner. The restaurant's decor appears budget-friendly, and their smoked meat doesn't compare favorably to Montreal smoked meat, despite their similar appearances and prices.

Happy to be back here. The smoke meat was delicious! The service was extremely friendly. They don’t guilt you into tipping them for take out with their credit card machine and still have the cash tipping bucket. They deserve the Michelin bib for sure.

The sandwich was a 5 star, but the fries were not. The coleslaw was top notch, as was the deli pickle. The restaurant is clean, and there is lots of parking. The staff were friendly and helpful. If only the fries were crispy, it would have been a 5 star.

Really quick friendly service. We shared the sandwich combo that comes with fries, coleslaw and a big pickle. All for just under $20. We enjoyed the sandwich more than the one we got at Schwartz Deli in Montreal. Well worth stopping in if that's what you're craving.

Was craving some smoked meat and SumiLicious delivered! Meat was freshly steamed, Fries were crispy and overall food was delicious. Now the rough part..The Price was a bit insane. 2 sandwiches, 1 fry and 1 poutine ran us $56. Love the food but hard to justify at this cost...

Super recommend this restaurant we ordered beef sandwich combo and poutine for me the poutine is pretty good but a little salty the combo includes a beef sandwich, a pickle and fries. I don’t like the pickle it’s too sour and the fries are too soft. Anyway we think it is good choice to order a sandwich combo and a poutine if you first try it so that you can decide which one is your favourite

Saw a recommendation on TikTok rating the top 5 smoked meat sandwiches in Toronto. I was not disappointed, great staff and service, the food was incredible and so worth the number 1 spot even with my 90 min drive to get there. Absolutely worth going. 6 stars

Driven past many times but didn't stop until today. Arrived about 2pm and there was a short line moved quickly. Ordered smoked meat sandwich and smoked meat poutine to share with a couple of drinks. $35 Smoked meat melted in your mouth. Poutine was a little disappointing since meat was a topping rather than cooked into gravy. Parking lot can be congested, probably why i never stopped before.

Not really as good as we expected from the hype. Got two smoked meat sandwiches, and a poutine. It took surprisingly long to make two sandwiches, especially since there was only 2 other orders ahead of us. I think we waited like 15 minutes at least. The sandwich was on plain rye bread, and yellow Heinz mustard. The meat itself was flavourful and moist, but I really feel like it lacked the Montreal smoked meat taste, that strong spicy smokey kick. It felt kinda flat and one note. Poutine fries were weirdly spiced and fries were very soggy. Really don’t recommend. I also got a pickle and the first one they gave had a weird squishy maybe moldy patch. I got a replacement pickle though. But for $2 a pickle you could go and buy a whole jar for a little bit more…. If you have never been to quebec or had good Montreal smoked meat, it would probably be fine, but in my opinion, any mom and pop smoked meat restaurant in Quebec would beat out sumilicious. The only reason it’s popular in Toronto is because there are no other smoked meat joints nearby.

Decent portion smoked meat sandwich for the price (approx $13 +tax), but fell below my expectations. I felt it was lacking in flavour and was hoping for something more juicy with a nice texture. The meat I got was brittle and dry (even though I asked for medium fat) and the bread was stale. The parking is way too busy and oddly designed for getting in and out of the plaza. The staff member who served me was beyond stressed with the lunch crowd. I felt for him, but at the same time, don't need to be scolded like a child for reminding him to put the mustard on the side. Way overhyped because there are limited smoked meat options in Toronto. Not 1-star horrible, but I'm not coming back either.

Likely the best Ontario experience of Montreal smoked meat. My meat was a bit over smoked, the mustard is not a typical yellow mustard, though it was quite good.

It's in the corner of a very busy plaza but still worth the headache of driving and parking in that area. This place has been on my list for some time now and thankfully my friend decided to grab take out from here. They offer Halal dishes and their smoked meat sandwich was really good! We also got the smoke meat poutine which was also really good. Would recommend and get again.

the place is very clean, the lady at the cash was very nice, I even seen her wiping down the counter and fridge handles with disinfectant. I respect the effort a company goes through to provide a clean space. the smoked meat sandwich was very good, I wasn't too impressed with the poutine. the reason why I only gave 3 stars is due to the cost. $22.50 for a sandwich and poutine is crazy. also they use black plastic containers and plastic cutlery, I wished they would use bio degradable containers and cutlery. it was nice to try this place out for the first time but for that money and plastic cutlery ill prob go somewhere else next time.

The smoked meat sandwich (fatty cuts) was delicious! Mustard cut right through the meat to keep things interesting as well. Coleslaw was great. The pickle wasn't sour enough for me personally. The fries were very dark and soggy... soggy fries might have been because I had to drive home with the takeout, but the fries were too dark. The gravy in the poutine was excellent - great depth of flavor. The cheese curds were squeaky too, very nice. Overall I'll probably be back, but only for the sandwich.

Might be better than Schwartz’s Deli! Almost the same minus the 6 hour drive. The fries are fresh cut and delicious. Get the full fat sandwich, you won’t be disappointed. Definitely making this a ritual.
