This is by far the worst place to get chaat. Just got this and it was very very disappointing. As you can see from my pictures, it was literally just yogurt, bland chick peas, and a spoon of Lal Mirch powder on top. I feel like I got robbed :'(

Received a dessert box as a gift. Overall tastes good if you like desserts that a purely sweet without much complexity/layers. Sort of like eating donuts/timbits. Personally I prefer desserts like cake (with cream, fruit, pastry, etc.) more than this.

We discovered this sweets shop by accident and it was such a lovely surprise. Excellent Pakistani and Afghani sweets. The samosas are way better than some of the stuff you get in Mississauga and Brampton. Fresh and very less oil. Service is quick and with a smile. The Bengali sweets though are not as great but they are not bad either. The ingredients used are of high quality, which is so evident in taste and even when you eat it after a couple of days. We now actually take a detour just to buy from here. A tad bit pricier than others but that's the price of quality.

High quality freshly made sweets. Finally got the taste of Indian sweets after years . They let you taste before you buy, I was impressed. Only thing is one has to pay in cash, debit or e-transfer no credit card accepted. Hygienic 10/10 Quality 10/10 Staff service 10/10 Highly recommend to those who miss Indian sweets. Will surely visit again.

I was set back by the cleanliness of the shop being a desi food joint 10/10 for cleanliness. Had the chicken and vegetables samosas and mixed mithai. The vegetables one was really good and I liked their mixture a lot. The chicken on the other hand tasted bland but the meat was generous in quantity. The samosas were also big in size (have taken their pic in a bowl to compare size) The mithai was a bit disappointing considering the hype I had received for them. I have had a lot better sweet at other mithai shops - they really need to up their taste. Chicken samosas was $2 and vegetables was $1.5 each - I did not see any price list around and would have ordered less if I had known the costs. I would definitely go back again for the vegetables samosas but keep away from the mithai !

So I came home to find a box of Al-Karam methai that my family got from a function. Absolutely Delicious! That jalabi, I have tried many places, but this was really that fresh and chewy and crunchy all at the same time and was just delicious. And that pateesa omg too good it was delicious, and the besan barfi is really good. Definitely going to come here for more. Good job

If you are looking for the best Mithai in GTA look no further. Whether you call it Habshi Halwa or you call it Sohan Halwa, Al Karam sweets will fulfil your cravings. Sohan papdi or Pateesa, Gulab Jamun are just as delicious. To be honest even back home I've never had such a delight. You can tell right away how fresh and delish their sweets are.

Tried their veggie and chicken samosas after being referred by a friend. The samosas are actually tasty; were being made fresh. For me a samosa must meet two things to become a favorite - the filling, (aloo) must be nicely boiled, mashed and be flavored with coriander seeds and masalas, AND the outer crust must be thin and crispy. Most places I have eaten samosas have too thick crust and are very bland (not even enough salt, what to say about the masala). Their samosa are a bit thicker to my liking but the taste of aloo was the qualifying factor! lolzzz.. Neat and clean place. Aloo samosa is for $1.50/pc. but given the size and filling, it is worth it. I loved it. Will go again. One thing, when you enter the shop take a ticket before waiting in the line. The ticket vending machine is located at a height so might miss your sight. Over all a good experience.

The sweets here are amazing! Anything you get will be delicious. Price is reasonable. I got a half pound for my family and 1 pound for a friend and it came to $20. I tried their samosas as well, they are HUGE and good. The dough is really amazing with soft and crunchy parts. Filling was okey, could be better but overall worth trying.

Extremely bad customer service over the phone, if you directing everything towards your website then what’s the point to pick up-but the people who pick up the phone should have at least manners- people calling them for a reason and want to pay money for their products- person who picked up the phone had no manner, not even greetings or courteous to client. Even good food will not guarantee the business for long when your customer service is below level.

I strongly recommend you check this place out, the quality is very high the staff is very friendly, and the high ratings is totally deserved! If it's your first time having Indian sweets the 1 lb assorted box is a good place to start and they'll definitely let you try a sample if you ask. I will 100% be going back.

First time we purchase samosa that was not like a Samoa. Size and shape is abnormal, no taste. I will never accept as a samosa. They just increase the size to justify the price. All samosas are different size and shape. Their sweets are delicious and they are famous for sweets but l disappointed with their samosas. I hope they improve the same .

It's one of the best Pakistani sweets bakery in Toronto. They have authentic sweats and samosas. You pay for what you get (A little expensive but it's worth it). Love their halwa selection, samosas and kachoris (In Ramadan)

I was at this store at least after 2 years and i had travelled all the way from downtown toronto, it was a present for someone and i was expecting great mithai . I was impressed with the cleanliness and their fast service as there were few people But i was very disappointed with the quality i had the last time i was there, first of all not all sweet was fresh and they have cut back on the quality ingrediants Pista burfy was green alright but without pistas Gulab jamun with khoa inside was old . Khalakand was not fresh . I also order gajar halva it had very little khoa . I also ordered Rusmalai it wasnt rich made with cream I will recommend new people to buy small quantity before wasting your money Thanks for reading seems new comers have very low standards

The beat sweets place in GTA. Pure, authentic, tasteful sweets has its name at Al Karam. Huge variety to choose from and every sweet preserves its taste. Dhodha is my favourite. Gujia is yummy. Very hygenic place. Neat and clean

As busy as it gets. Very neat and clean environment, sweets look delicious. Went their for their Jalebi's during ramadan but it was out of stock. Moreover, we did considered few other sweets that we are going to try later. If you are a sweet lover, you can try their's. Best of luck Al-karam.

Visited for the first time today, great sweets, pretty decent samosas too. The shop was busy, but clearly if food is good, the business is going to be busy. Overall good experience, loved the mix mithai. Will come again and would recommend to friends and family also.

Slightly on the pricier side, but lovely staff and delicious sweets more than make up for it. Their savory fare is worth trying as well. It is a very busy place, but there is enough parking and the staff is quick to help you.

The whole processing of ordering till delivery was very professional and smooth. The presentation of the sweets were very nice. The sweets themselves were fresh and amazingly tasty. I would recommend this store to anyone who expects reliable and professional services.

Very delicious sweets. If you are looking to visit on Eid, make sure to order online for pick up the night before as there will most likely be at least an hour wait if you decide to just walk in.

  • 5/5 Tazim J. 1 year ago on Google
The sweets were excellent, so was the chevron. The delivery service was not satisfying because the sweets were delivered later then promised. Do you use honey in your sweets?

Worst chaat ever! It was just yogurt in the container with literally FEW chickpeas and a little masala sprinkled on top. Namak paaray was given on the side as paapri. No chutneys, no masala no taste! Came all the way from Mississauga and had the worst experience. Went to buy patties but they were sold out at 6pm so got chaat instead and regretted big time
