My daughter and I love their Cantonese Chow Mein, Cantonese Fried Rice, Fried Chicken Legs, Pepper Shrimp and Wings ! They are very generous with their portions and awesome customer service! The owners are from Guyana too! I ordered catering here for my daughter’s birthday and everyone enjoyed it ! They were patient with me and worked out a budget that helps me save. I ordered small trays which they said feeds 8-10 people but it feeds more! We even have left overs for people to bring home ! They prefer people calling in to order first so we can just pick up and go. I remember a lady in front of me insisted on ordering in store but stalled the entire line. The workers at the back quickly assisted the cashier and the line moved on pretty quickly again!

So I came ALLLLLLLLLLLLL the way from Mississauga to try this gem 💎. I actually had this place booked on my phones “notepad” for 2+ years. Luckily I was around the area & decided to give it a try for the first time. Certainly not my last… Staff was super friendly & accommodated changing the “lunch menu” for one of our orders from fried rice to white rice. Something small like this change, goes a long way to keep a customer happy. Bought the lunch deal (11am-3pm) - Chilli Shrimp on white rice & pepper shrimp on fried rice. Wow !!! Both were very, very delicious. The chilli shrimp was what I was hoping it to be. Brown saucy + sliced chilli, paired with white rice = AMAZING. The pepper shrimp, varies from locations, but this was made perfectly. The fried re rice was was amazing as well. Overall, for my first time here, it was great !!

Came in for the lunch special and ordered the chilli chicken with gravy. It was okay not the greatest. The gravy was good, the breading around the chicken was soggy.

Good quality food, large portions, and cheap prices. The staff are very friendly. The lunch specials are amazing! You get a large portion of food for under $10. The fried chicken is a must-try!

The staffs here are friendly and the food is delicious. Our family favourite is beef with broccoli, fried rice with fried chicken on top, sweet and sour chicken and springs rolls! I will try their chilli chicken and wings next time.

Been looking for a place that does good Guyanese style fried rice! Wonder if they're related to Joe and Lin's that closed up on Eglinton & Birchmount. Menu is so alike Fried chicken in fried rice is a classic! Will be back for more

Lucky’s never fails to fulfill my Hakka cravings and their prices stay proper. Two lunch specials for under $20 and they don’t skimp on the portion..how can you go wrong. Their flavours won’t disappoint either, I would definitely recommend if you’re in the area!

I love their pepper shrimp and pepper fish fried rice. Lunch special is only $8-9. I discovered they have pepper calamari too! Crispy and spicy!

Unfortunately, I had a very bad experience. I was told by a few people that they are good for catering. So I catered food from them for 60 people and ordered large trays of food. I placed the order and they confirmed it with the price 3 weeks in advance. 2 days before the event I called and made sure everything was a go and it was good. The day of the event they called me and said I had to pay extra for one tray because they apparently forgot to charge me. Even through the ordered was confirmed. They stressed me out cuz the party was at 3pm and they call me at 11am and tell me I have to pay extra. Such a scam.... anyway I fought with them for 30minutes and they didn't charge me. They was a large tray of Jerk chicken and it went bad the next day.... it smelled bad and we had to garbage half a tray of the jerk chicken. Other food was ok. Such a bad experience. Customer service sucks and so does the rotten food. Very disappointing.

This place is undergoing a renovation as of Nov 2023. They are halving the restaurant, the other half is going to be another establishment. There was limited (self service) seating for dine in customers , so we ordered take out. Must say straight off the bat - portions are humongous. We ordered chowmein with chicken on top and wings on fried rice. The fried rice and chowmein were a tad disappointing. Wings were nice and crispy and the fry CHK was the real star. Would love to try their jerk and barbecue chicken in future, but probably not with fried rice or noodles. The place is very busy in the evenings and on weekends, but thankfully the wait time for our order was short . This was my second visit to this establishment, so I cannot comment much on the food. The owners are Guyanese chinese, which is probably why it draws in a good following from the Caribbean diaspora in Scarborough. Will definitely be back in the near future.

The best chicken fried rice in the city. I grew up eating this chicken and rice every weekend when they use to have a location at Markham and Eglinton. Every time I take a bite, it bring me memories of my childhood. The rice is perfectly cooked and seasoned. The chicken was super tasty. The meat is super tender and juicy with a bonus of crispy skin on the outside. Both the chicken and rice balance each other out nicely. The vinegar hot sauce is amazing, I usually don’t eat spicy food but their homemade hot sauce is an exception. Would definitely recommend the fried rice with chicken on top to everyone.

Been coming here for over a decade or 2 and its been good quality food always. Also if they say 10 minutes your food will be ready in 10 minutes unlike other places. And friendly service for the most part. I always get the lunch special chicken fried rice and its always consistent. Also for that price $8.50 you will not get this much food at this price most places around anywhere! Just wish they had those (Wings) hot sauce packets back in stock! Go try it today!

Tucked away in town, this spot serves up big portions without the big price tag. The food is seriously tasty, and the staff is super friendly. It's the kind of place where you leave feeling full and happy without emptying your wallet. Definitely worth checking out for a satisfying meal!

On June 30/23, tried 30 minutes to order by phone with no luck. Decided to go to Scarborough location to place an order. Found out that the business was closed on June 30 from note left on the door. No mention on the website or phone message that the business was closed for the day. Very poor customer service. Will order elsewhere next time

We have been coming here for a year now and their food never disappoints. We always get chilli chicken and their special fried chicken.

PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY, TIME & MOOD HERE. I literally returned food to the counter after paying. Chicken is old and dry. Can't even chew. When talked to the lady inside, she tried arguing and yelling. There restaurant says West Indian or Caribbean food, but believe me they have no idea what that is. All they know is how to cook Chinese fried rice. Not recommended.

This was my second time at this location, I went back to do a double take and see if I missed something, with the food. I have had their chicken before at the old Markham road location, and it's still very good. The fry chicken we had (not shown) was still quite good, but a little heavy on the five spice. Years ago, they had the best cut-up chicken around, but things change. Shown is the dry chilli chicken, it's not really chilli chicken (dry), it's deep fried breaded chicken chunks with mics chilli chopped and quickly hot oil fried and placed on top as a garnish, it was missing the soul. I've had this type of meat dish before at a Sichuan restaurant in Pudong, China. It looked almost exactly, but less flavor, very similar garnish. The roasted pork slices (not shown) were not quite what I expected. Their mixed fried rice was really good and the fry chicken is still their star. I don't discuss price in my reviews, what I can say is that the portions are quite large for Toronto dash and dine restaurants. They are still here and when I can, I will get my fry chicken. They have a series of young students from PRC; I think it's good to help out when you can. On both occasions I had male servers, the first was I think Alex, who was from Zhuhai and the second, I missed his name, but good(8/10) service regardless. Thank you.

Had a fusion of chinese & west Indian cuisine. Great place, yummy food, super affordable. Location is accessible. Their chicken on top of fried rice is so so good, must try!! Their lunch specials are great way to try their food. Some of the staff are friendly. Keep in mind they don't allow take out containers in the dining area, which is a bit annoying if you want to sit and have some of the food.

The people at Lucky Lin's are so patient, kind, and willing to provide thorough information about their food, portions, and prices. There food is always delicious! I bought party trays from here for my daughter's birthday and the process was seamless. I will definitely be getting party food from here again!

I have been going to this restaurant since it started off in a small takeout joint by Markham and Kingston road. Its been probably 30 years for me. I love love the food especially the special fried rice with chicken ontop but everything is great. I use to dine in once a week with my son before covid, now its strictly takeout. Regardless i will still takeout food. I sometimes drive from far where i live just to get it. Ive tried many west Indian Chinese but Lucky lins always have me coming back. I recommend 💯 %. Thank you Lucky Lins for providing good food. ❤️

Reasonable prices! I ordered trays of food and I was surprised to see that they filled the trays a lot more than it usually can handle (unlike most places don’t do).Bang for your buck! I’ll keep coming back.

You cannot to go wrong with this spot during lunch time. It's small, but the mom&pop vibe is respectable. Prices won't be beat and if they somehow are it sure as hell won't have the taste to back it. Lucky lins is the easy pick with variety for days. Jerk chicken on Hakka noodles... BUSSIN.

Amazing food, i’m not a big fan of chicken but this place changed my mind! I ordered the plain fried chicken and it was so good that i will keep going there just to try the other types of chicken on their menu. The waitress was very friendly and took care of us pretty well, the place is not fancy but it is clean, facilities are clean, the price is the best part, very reasonable!

I am told that this place has been around FOREVER and continues to produce the same delicious food! When we order from here, we usually get the Deep Fried Chicken (WELL-DONE because we like it extra crispy), the Beef & Shrimp Fried Rice and the Deep Fried Shrimp Wontons! All these dishes are delicious! They also provide a yummy hot sauce for the chicken!

I ordered some food for pickup here and the food was great but the pickup experience was horrid. I walked in and said "picking up a doordash order for Nathan". The lady there thought I meant I'm a dasher picking up an order for someone else. Whenever I go to any store to pick up an order, I use the same phrase and they always know what I mean. She told me, I had to "confirm on the app". I didn't have my phone on me, so I walked back to my car, grabbed my phone and went back in. As soon as she saw me again, she asked "did you order on the app for pickup?". I said yes and then she started talking about how I should've ordered from them directly instead of using the app because I'd save $5 between the Doordash price and their price. One of the other patrons heard her saying this and starting smirking and giggling as if I mistakenly decided to spend more money by using the Doordash app. I'm not an idiot. I know it costs more on the app. What I'm paying for is the ease of being able to pay on my phone ahead of time and just walk in and pick up my food. I didn't pay to walk back and forth from my car, and be embarrassed and laughed at in a public place. Like I said, the food was great but these guys don't understand how people operate these days. Operating for 29 years? I guess they're still stuck back in those days.
