Oyster is very fresh and opened properly. The horseradish is fresh as well. Sea bass is a must try. Crispy on the outside and buttery inside. Seafood stew is also very good but u have to dig in with your hands to get that meat from crab leg. The lamb rack we ask for medium rare and were cooked to perfection. Price is above average , but portion is generous as well so it can justify. Overall a very nice dinner and service is top notch.

We came for the oysters which were fresh and delicious. You can get sick of oysters fairly quickly so make sure you don't order too much at once. Also, their oyster special requires at least one appetizer so keep that in mind. The staff were friendly and the place was clean.

Service was slow and seemed disorganized from the jump. We ordered our and the food came out totally out of order. Got my appetizer last… don’t order the shrimp cocktail because it’s literally 3 shrimp in a cup and it was $19. I can’t justify that price. We got the paella for $42 but I don’t understand why it was so expensive… I should have gotten steak or ribs instead for that price. The oysters were very good tho, we got the $1 special and that was definitely worth it. Idk if I would come back… but the oysters were fresh.

Had a really nice late lunch. After Christmas shopping we wanted to try Diana's as we drive by it all the time.... It did not disappoint! Everything was cooked to perfection and the service was great. We did not try the oysters... But everyone around us was enjoying them, so maybe next time we will give it a try!

A popular Scarborough restaurant that's known for fresh seafood, whether dine in or for pick up at the supermarket located behind. Overall service was very friendly, attentive, and efficient. Scallop Ceviche: 2/5 did not resemble a ceviche as the scallops, along with the ingredients, were not diced. It looked like scallops on a bed of mango salad, I do wish they added more garnish, lime, and a toss to enhance this dish. Oysters: perfect 5/5, Cannot go wrong we had their Kusshis, Malpeque, Acadian and Fanny Bays. Seafood Stew 5/5, packed with delicious seafood broth, clams, mussels, crab legs, lobster tails, this dish had it all.

Celebrating our anniversary and what better place to celebrate it then to have dinner at Diana's Oyster Bar. We always purchased purchased oysters to eat at home so we decided have dinner here on this special occasion. We ordered clam chowder, seafood stew and the seafood mixed grill. First and the most important Fanny Bay oysters to start... The service was great and the food came in a timely manner. For us being Chinese and the style of Chinese seafood cooking we was a bit disappointed. The clam chowder we would have thought would be creamy but this version was not. The seafood stew almost everything was fresh but the lobster tail we knew was not fresh or maybe the frozen kind. The seafood mixed grill had fresh salmon, shrimps and scallops... the fried rice was a bit on the salty side. Our overall experience was that we enjoyed ourselves, it was a great atmosphere and we also enjoyed the sunset during our meal.. we had not had a special dinner like this for over a year and a half since covid started. This meal will not affect us from buying more oysters from Diana's in the future...

We had a great time when we had lunch here. We tried their oysters that day. I believe they offer different specials. We also had their clam chowder- I was expecting more (taste wise) but it's not bad, their pasta and salmon are both must-tries. We will surely come back.

Really enjoyed all the food we ordered and the servers were very nice. They had their malpeque for $1 each which was great and they were shucked very well. Their selection of other oysters was also very good and decently priced. Our appetizers were delicious, especially the platter for two. My favorite was the grilled calamari and octopus!

Everybody has heard the tall tales about the fisherman that hooked the great fish that got away. I fortunately got hooked on a great seafood restaurant that didn’t get away. My family and I recently dined at Diana’s Oyster Bar and Grill on Lawrence Ave. East in Scarborough. My wife and I shared the Beet Salad which was truly delicious. We both ordered for our main course the Diana’s Seafood Stew which contained mussels, clams, fresh fish, lobster, and a crab leg. This dish was absolutely fantastic. My family also chose the grilled fish, a pasta plate and we all shared some yummy oysters. What else can I say, everything was heavenly and nobody left a crumb on our plates. Service was excellent throughout the meal. For a truly delightful taste from the bounty of the sea, I most definitely recommend Diana’s Oyster Bar and Grill.

I was pleasantly surprised to find this place in Scarborough. Their menu is extensive and offers wide variety of seafood and drinks. The pasta tastes fresh and house made black pepper is delightful. I got to try a nice Ontario Riesling. The service was great. The outdoor patio gets a bit noisy as it's off a busy street but there's ample shading and barriers

Hidden gem in Scarborough. I’ve been coming here for almost 10 years - phenomenal menu, knowledgeable staff, and the freshest seafood selection you could ask for! Oysters are shucked to order by experienced shuckers- no need to worry about eating small shell bits! They have an endless variety of oysters available and the most delicious lobster tagliatelle. One of my favourite spots and I highly recommend. You will not be disappointed! They get very busy on weekends - make sure to reserve your table ahead of time. Lots of parking available.

4.3/5 is a well represented score. Service is excellent. Rene our server spoke about the differences in oysters and gave us recommendations. He was also very patient. It’s mostly a full seafood restaurant with a couple of meat options. The salad was good. The chowder was well flavoured, a touch salty ve we cleaned the bowl. The oysters were good. The big ones (minimum 2 bites) were not as good as the smaller ones. So I would skip them next time. The daily selection had about 6-7 east coast oyster options and 4-5 west coast. Make it an adventure and mark of track which ones you’ve tried and when you go back try the ones you haven’t. They had a good selection of drinks, including beer on tap (I had a Sapporo) and lots of white wines. The design and feel is very cool and is meant to bring a flair of the sea to your experience.

Everything was delicious and really tasted extremely fresh. 1$ oyster was really good. We went sunday around 9 pm just to eat something fast and they didn't disappoint. Clam chowder, really light and flavorful. Tuna tartar was yummy and my shrimp cocktails as well. We were served like never before. (Restaurant wasn't really busy) but a good service is a good service. Thank you !

Where to begin? Don't believe the reviews, you will be disappointed. Prices for quantity and quality are outrageous, server and service are all over the place which was aggravating. They forgot our bread, grilled calamari wasn't enough for one customer, crab cakes seemed over-done. Restaurant doesn't offer coffee (what restaurant doesn't offer coffee?), only espresso. Made reservations for 7 and restaurant failed to mention an automatic 18% gratuity (most establishments charge after 8 but its stated on the menu in fine print), service was definitely not worth it. I wouldn't recommend and definitely won't be back.

Very very happy with everything we ordered here - fresh raw oysters, clam chowder and fish & chips. The fish was really fresh and batter was crispy and double fried fries.. yummm. The oysters were of great value too - $26 for a dozen and you can mix and match their daily specials - for us it was the Kusshi (our favourite!!), Fanny Bay and Acadian Gold. Would definitely be back!!

Love this place the best seafood by far! Super fresh and cooked perfectly. I would definitely recommend this place if you want a nice night out. Service was fantastic as well as the server walked us through the oyster menu (we have never tried oysters before) and provided great recommendations.

Good option for oysters (or seafood in general) in Scarborough area! Came here for dinner on a Monday night to try out their oysters. What's great about this restaurant is they have their buck a shuck everyday. Other places have a set day where it's available. Note that only the Malpeque Oysters is available. For the food, we ordered the Clam Chowder and Crab Cakes for appetizer. The Clam Chowder was good, but I feel that it was a bit watery and not creamy. I am no Clam Chowder connoisseur, but most that I've tried is more creamy than the one I had here. Flavour wise, the clam seemed fresh and there's lots of ingredients. For the Crab Cakes, I enjoyed it. It was a typical crab cake and can't go wrong with it. For the main dish we got the Tagliatelle. This dish was really good. The gave a good portion of Lobster, Crab and Shrimp. The pasta itself was cooked nicely. The saffron cream sauce was also perfect, flavourful and the creaminess was just right. Now for the oysters, the Fanny Bay was my favourite. Liked the size and texture of it. The Kusshi was my next favourite. Maybe the West Coast is the best coast after all. The Malpeque is similar to other buck a shuck oysters you'd get elsewhere so no further comment there. The staff was really friendly and accommodating. We didn't have reservations but luckily they had a seat available and we didn't wait at all. The staff explained where the oysters are from and recommended us what to try. The only downside I can say is that the food took longer to come than expected. The place wasn't busy (if it was, I can understand) and it still took a bit of time for the oysters to come. At other places, they come quick (and usually packed because buck a shuck is a certain day and usually people come for that reason). This is why I gave 4 star. If you made it this far, then overall, I still recommend you to try this place if you have a random oyster craving. They have buck a shuck option available any day.

Buck a shuck night. Oysters were delicious, beer was cold and a nice compliment to the oysters. Service was iffy, was good when they came, but sometimes getting the server's attention was an issue, not enough servers on duty. Overall, very good and will go back.

Food: Clam chowder was extremely salty. Can taste the salt lingering in my mouth. Tagliatelle and Paella was not bad. Shrimp was relatively big and flavourful and there was an assortment of other seafood, but it wasn't anything special. Mussels and clam meat were small. Lobster, crab, and fish meat in the pasta was tiny shredded pieces that you can barely find. There was also fish skin to in my Paella. The only good thing were the oysters. Service: We went on a Tuesday night. The restaurant had a decent amount of people (about 2/3 full. they didn't open the entire restaurant space) but service was exceptionally slow. We waited a whole hour after our appetizer before getting our main course. The server also didn't take the time to welcome us and explain to us the menu, but we heard her talking o the table next to us for a long time instead.

This was my first visit to Diana's...my friends held a surprise Divorce Party for me...and they know I love seafood. Diana's did not disappoint! I had the Seafood Trio (special of the day). My friends had fish and chips, clam chowder and a lobster rolls. There was a lot of sharing and tasting...everything was delicious. The restaurant was quiet at the time (1700H on a week day) and they very graciously allowed a cake from outside to be brought in. The staff were very friendly and our food was prepared quickly (and all brought out at the same time!). They also have a good wine list. I would highly recommend this restaurant and can't wait to go back again. The options were endless. There were so many other things on the menu that I'd like to try.

Had an amazing experience at Diana’s! Our server Jaco was very attentive throughout our experience. An diverse selection of fresh, quality oysters with a delicious menu centred around seafood! For 2 people ordered 2 dozen oysters, the grilled octopus, lobster crab and shrimp roll, and steak sandwich! All were very delicious and super filling,

As has been expressed by others, many places do not need an introduction let alone a review. However, trust me, if you haven’t been to Diana’s Oyster Bar and Grill you are missing out! Do yourself a favour and visit immediately. Everything that we have ever had on our numerous visits has been OUTSTANDING! Their oysters are spectacular and with a huge variety. Their menu items are each masterfully done. I recommend the seafood stew. If I could give a restaurant more stars I would. Amazing each and every time!

Everything we had here was fresh and delicious. 1st we had the Oysters, then the clam chowder, and the lobster. We were thoroughly impressed with these items. Even looking at other people's food coming out looked incredible. We'll definitely be back to try more items. One thing I will say is that we never had any dessert. Another couple we went with had tried a couple of desserts and were not impressed by them, but I couldn't say that, as I never tried any dessert options.

Food and service is ok. Wouldn’t say it’s spectacular. They don’t always have the oysters listed on their website. Not sure if it’s a demand Vs supply thing. It’s a cozy atmosphere with comfortable seating. The bar is a good place for drinks and if you want to indulge in oysters displayed behind the counter of the bar, that’s nice too. A hint of seafood smell when you walk in because the bar with oysters is right at the entrance. Not much to say for this place. Oyster price range from 1.75 to 4.50 per.

A dollar for each oyster if we pay for an appetizer. There are obviously other types of oysters you can order but they are more expensive so we just got the cheapest ones. The appetizers (all about 20ish dollars) were kind of pricey but, all in all, a very good deal. The oysters were fresh and delicious. Highly recommend!

We love this restaurant, they are so friendly and every meals that we had this restaurant have been so so great. This place reminds us restaurants somewhere in Europe, they let you take your time to enjoy your meal from the begging to the end. Highly recommend!

One of the top seafood restaurants in Toronto period. Decent prices with good tasting food that isn't bland! Customer service here is always top notch. They have some good oyster specials on certain days that you can't miss. My personal favourite here is Lucky Lime which is around $3 a piece. You can get specials for dozen for $12 or $24 with app depending on the oyster. Came here and got the mussels, roasted sea bass and seafood platter which had salmon, jumbo shrimp and scallops. Each dish was a hit, everything was cooked to perfection!

the seafood was so fresh and all the dishes were perfect! the staff really knew their stuff and gave good recommendations. the seafood platter was the star of the show and even though it says “serves 2” it can definitely serve at least 3-4, especially with shared appetizers! it is quite pricy but definitely worth it. cant wait to go back!

The best oysters I've ever had! Lovely seafood restaurant with an inside and outside seating area. Has an indoor bar as well. The menu contains some classic and contemporary food options. But if you are a seafood indulgent like myself, this is the place for you! Several oyster options are available, which are presented as you enter the restaurant with the day’s catch and specialties—served with lemon and sauces, whichever you prefer. The beverage menu, particularly the alcohol options, is quite varied. Perfect if you like a Reisling to go with your seafood. Some classic dessert options to end your meal as well. The owner was extremely polite and helpful and was very pleasant while serving us.

Weekday noon time, 5-6 groups of customers were waiting for opening including us, yes they open at 12am exactly. Seeing so many people are waiting made me feel worthy of coming just follow social media recommendations. My hubby said he’s not a fan of oysters, so we ordered a dozen and after giving a try he felt in love as these oysters are not fishy at all. They provide three sauces which are really good to serve with oysters. I like the East Coast oysters more than the West Coast ones though they are much smaller. East coast varieties are more creamy, tender and having a slightly milky flavor if you eat with no sauce while East ones are of stronger meat texture. That’s what the waiter introduced and I agreed with that. Paella was perfect with the flavors and abundant seafood, only the minced meat included is a bit lumpy. Crab cake was more delicious than I expected , totally made of crab meat and don’t have complex spices, crispy outside and tender inside. Definitely will come again!

A great local seafood spot for us loving in East York and Scarborough. We decided to indulge and have the seafood platter for two. Definitely enough for 3 people. Overall, everything was pretty tasty and fresh. I would say that instead of serving platter with fried rice, a simple pilaf rice would do. Not sure if I’ll order this platter every time I visit, but it’s nice once I a while.

Amazing food, great service. Seafood always fresh!

  • 3/5 AJ O. 1 year ago on Google
The oysters are fresh and great! I don’t recommend the pasta dishes (ingredients are fresh but it’s unseasoned) or appetizer plate (very little portions for the price). It’s better to order appetizers separately. Highly recommend the fried calamari, some of the best I’ve ever had! Eat here if you’d like to have oysters and appetizers with drinks! You’ll enjoy it a lot!

$1 malpeque oysters - creamy and salty. Better than other seafood restaurants - Maybe it's the way they shuck or handle them? But our group found that the oysters were better here. Excellent service. Tagliatelle pasta was delicious as well.

Its one of the best seafood restaurant in Toronto with a diverse and attractive menua of different type of fish, crabs and oysters. Vwry nice and attractive environment, really delicious dessert. And the quality of their meals are very good. i just gave 4stars because most of the time they dont have some foods on weekend. Weekdays might be better.
