Refused to make a deal on anything. Employee’s excuse was “we can sell it for way more on eBay”. Aren’t you a pawn shop? You can use selling product online as an excuse for bad pricing. Won’t be back and wouldn’t recommend coming here if you’re looking for a real pawn shop experience.

This is an awesome second hand store. I dropped by to pickup an item and was surprised they were open to browse inside. It's a nicely organized shop with all kinds of stuff at good prices. Friendly staff wide selection and 30 day warranty so shop without worries. Not sure but I think it's the only shop of its kind. I used to buy tools at Cash Converters before they disappeared so am happy to discover this hidden gem. They've got a nice selection of tools, games, laptops, guitars, smartphones and so much more. I've got my eye on some boxed DVD sets and a camera so will be coming back.

Came in to sell a projector and a tablet. I also had a ps3 but they wouldn't take without a controller, which is fine. Made a fair deal on the tablet and projector and walked out happy. Very pleased with the person I spoke to and definitely recommend this place if you have unwanted goods to sell. Thank you so much.

I made a big purchase online (a musical instrument) with Swap Shop. I trusted them and I was right. Mark is very reliable. The description is correct and I was sent videos. Transactions are perfect (deposit and payment), with all official receipts well made. I was delivered my purchase in Quebec according to my request. I would not hesitate to buy anything else with them. Perfectly honest and professional.

Pretty decent pawn shop. At least they're legitimate and will give you a fair deal when you sell your stuff over here, unlike some places I've been to in other parts of the city. I recommend coming here as they have a lot of varieties of stuff.

These guys are straight crooks purchased a bunch of gaming consoles from them was told everything is 100% tested and working well come to find out the Crystal Original Xbox I bought from here will not turn on upon inspection there was liquid damage all inside and a Nintendo DS that wont read games because the pins inside are damaged what a joke thanks for ripping off a customer from out of town Make sure you see anything you buy from here working before buying or better yet just avoid all together You would think if you are selling a console for a high price tag you would make sure that it at least powers on Update: I was traveling through town when I purchased these I live 2 hours away and was explained it was no worry everything was 100% tested

Did not have a good experience. They were not interested in swaping or making a deal. We were only $30 apart. I walked out with my goods and cash in my pocket. Dont waste your time with these guys.

I really loved this spot. I’ve had my ups and downs here but i never left without a good find. Been meaning to replace my old Super Nintendo and was heart broken to see they’re sign has been taken down. Swap shop will forever be a part of North York/scarborough history and will be greatly missed.

The people here are quite friendly. The woman they have working as the jeweler is very knowledgeable and helpful. In the end I was offered more for the electronics I brought in than the other pawn shop I visited first. So they certainly are not unfair.

Husband had responded to a Kijiji ad they had for a driving wheel for PC. They confirmed they had it in stock. Went in the next day to check it out and was greeted warmly by ALL of the staff, they were also very helpful and even remembered us from the Kijiji ad! Top notch customer service, easy payment and transaction and it was all done with smiles on their faces. I would recommend this place if you're ever in the area!

Saw an item on kijiji from swap shop, a star trek next generation bridge playset, they had it shipped to me within 3 days. Price was great, quality of product was amazing and it was all hassle free. They also packed the item really well and every piece of the set was bubble wrapped.

Purchased a gold necklace and bracelet from this shop. Neil was very helpful and Patience while we went through all the pieces and tried them on. Prices are really competitive and they have a huge selection on a lot of items.

Saw an item on Kijiji and I contacted them about shipping and they were very accommodating. Item arrived well packaged and communication was spot on and quick. Highly recommended.

Purchased something off kijiji from them. Was a little nervous as you had to e-transfer before receiving goods, and they actually had to ship the item. It was about $340 all told so not a small amount - however rest easy if you're in the same position! They are trustworthy, they packed the receipt, were quick to respond and the item I purchased (camcorder) was received as described in perfect working order. Would certainly purchase from again without issue.

I have been here a couple of times to see items that they had posted on Kijiji. I couldn't have been happier with what I found. The staff was friendly, very helpful and very knowledgeable about the products that they had available. I have no doubts that I will be going back to shop there again.

Bought a phone here. Turned out to be locked/blacklisted (in the US, but that affected function in Canada). They refunded and gave a discount on an alternative for the wasted time. Overall, it's a decent place to do business with.

Buying from a 'distance' -- a kijiji deal -- is always tricky. And there was problem with a vintage piece of electronics shipped to my address half-way across the country (that couldn't be foreseen), a glitch, which, I'm pleased to say was resolved by Swap Shop. You can buy with confidence from these folks.

The swap shop has been reinvented and remodeled it so much cleaner and it's got more stuff there so you containers and the glass cases are nice so you can see the products if you're looking for vintage audio radios tools records DVDs CDs VHS it's the place to go watch some jewelry the prices are too bad and you can sell stuff to them and they're pretty pretty good the staff is quite helpful knowledgeable and they'll sample stereos radios anything and TVs to place to go location bit busy but it's worth a drive out there Scarborough good store I will be definitely going again this summer..

Swap Shop is great. Prices on most items are very fair. Staff is friendly, knowledgeable and eager to help. Go in and see for yourself. You never know what treasures you may find.

This store was very well run, and all the staff weee highly professional. I felt a great sense of community there. My children and I loved going there and finding retro items, musical instruments, tools, sports equipment and old generation video games. This business model also helps the environment! Abs helps people. I really hope they open up again after the pandemic!!!

Just bought a beautiful ring key, wood oboe from The Swapshop on Lawrence Ave...the guys at The Swapshop sent it halfway across Canada...only took three days to get here by Canada Post. A unique and very convenient place to trade used electronics, tools, and many other things for cash. They have an online lookup system so they can process your "junk" pretty quickly. Also means you can find used "stuff" there cheaply in many categories.

When you are forced to sell things to make ends meet, what you don't need is someone who treats you like scum. My items may not have bine amazing but I didn't need to be made to fell small. The young (blonde hair with glasses) man was a sarcastic, rude little troglodyte. What I was forced to accept was Ludacris, I will never deal with this establishment every again, and i was a loyal customer when they were at Vic Park. NEVER AGAIN!!! I will attend the Buy and Sell kings instead. Bad Form

"You we're looking for vintage games which we are actively pricing based on market value. Many of our items have some room to move on but not our video game titles. Sorry you had a bad experience but our sales team was just trying to explain to you how we arrive at our pricing choices" , nah you arrive at pricing choices by sizing up the customer and then offering them peanuts. Pawn shops used to offer 50% for used items because THAT'S WHAT THEY ARE WORTH.

This store is excellent. Ive never been in previously, though the layout is very nice -- and they even let me place a down payment a week prior to being able to pick up the item I was interested in. If you havent been in, I would recommend checking it out. They have an impressive selection of quality used items.
