This is definitely a hidden gem in Markham or Scarborough area. This restaurant does not have a fancy and expansive outlook and interior, but they do have full heart on providing excellent food and customer service with such a low price. The steak we ordered is delicious. Even the soup and the side (Fries and smashed potatoes) taste awesome. The waitress is so friendly and helpful, some times already know what we want even before we ask. Great restaurant and highly recommended.

Food is decent, don't expect top quality. Prices are reasonable, but beware, they charge extra for many things. For example, steak dinner shows home fries and vegetables, but when you get home fries they charge an extra $1.50 Breakfast after 3pm costs an extra $1. They also advertise 24hrs, but close at 3am. Still a good place to eat, but beware of the little extra costs.

Best value food in town!! We came here for brunch and had a wonderful time. Service was super fast and the food portions are huge!!! Strongly recommend their $13.99 AAA 8oz striploin and the jerk shrimp spaghetti 🍝 you won’t regret it. Also really loved their butter chicken poutine. It’s so unique and cheesy! Amazing spot for all-day breakfast and other food. We came here for a late weekday dinner. The interior gives late night diner vibes. Service is quick, attentive, and friendly. They have a variety of menu items, but I went with their striploin which comes with a choice of soup or salad, a side, and dessert for an amazing price! Portions were large, amazing value for the money, and the steak was tasty. Definitely coming back for more delicious cheap eats!

We read some good reviews and therefore gave it a try. The place is pity old and looks rotten. Food quality is just so so but edible in this price range. Egg Benedict doesn't look good in presentation and 3 eggs breakfast looks so thin. The only plus sign was the good service provided. If you are looking for quality food, try other alternatives.

The food was okay, I don't have much to say about this place. The lunch specials menu was very cheap so I may go back again to try this. I got a Spicy Jerk Shrimp pasta and it was very bland. I requested for extra spicy and received a +$2 charge on my bill, I wasn't notified prior that there was an upcharge for this request. I feel like this should have been informed prior as it definitely took me by surprise. The pasta was mid, I wouldn't order the pasta again. On the other hand, the service was great! Unfortunately, my friend ordered the steak and eggs, she requested for medium rare and ended up with well done, which was a disappointment. Overall, I may go again to try out their lunch specials as it was very cheap, I would not order the pasta again. The parking lot is also very congested as there is a gas station right beside so be aware!

The server here was so nice and friendly!!! Some of the best customer service that I have experienced. This place is also open until like 3 am so how can you not love coming in after those late nights when you’re tipsy. The food was actually pretty good for the price too, they have al the good stuff that you’ll need.

This is a pretty chill & casual restaurant on the corner serving brunch dishes as well as others. It doesn’t really look like much on the outside but it’s pretty spacious with tables being reasonably spaced considering COVID-19. I came with 1 other and we were promptly greeted by a welcoming young lady. She led us to our table and asked if we had been before. We told her it was our first time here and she happily listed some of her suggestions for us. She recommended the steak dish for us so we placed 1 order of that. It also came with a side so we picked mashed potatoes. The steak was super flavourful & tasty and the mashed potato had a really smooth texture. We also ordered an eggs benny which was okay. We ordered the Working B Breakfast ($14.99) with chocolate chip (+$1.99) pancakes and the Jerk Shrimp Spaghetti ($19.99). We had asked for the jerk shrimp spaghetti to be subbed with penne instead and for it to be extra spicy. We were disappointed to see that we were charged and extra $2 for the extra spicy request (something our server hadn’t mentioned prior). We were especially disappointed since the pasta wasn’t even spicy and they just seemed to add chilli flakes to it. The pasta sauce was also on the sweeter side and pretty watery. We have no complaints for the breakfast orders as they were pretty standard. One of our friends ordered the steak and eggs and found the steak to be well done even though they asked for medium rare. Overall I would visit again since they were pretty accommodating to our large group and their lunch specials were pretty economical.

This is an very simply restaurant. The price is good and the portion is very good with the price, and it comes with coffee and dessert. It is a family owned business and just one server, but definitely good service still

We came here on whim at 4 am and got our own poutine. I'm not a poutine enthusiastic, but I've had my fair share of poutine, and this was not only affordable but tasted amazing. They had other cheap eats on the menu, so do check them all out. We went with something small and simple and this was it. Also perfect when you're looking for a late night Diner.

This restaurant has several locations. One in uptown area. Markham area is not big but decent size. Their daily menu value set is great which includes a 8 ounces sirloin steak, yummy mushroom cream soup and dessert. Great value n their steak is lean steak, thin cut. French fries n mashed potato are equally good. I had a mango pudding dessert, it was delicious. Free parking at the mall.

I recently visited Honey B Hives as part of a bachelor party and was absolutely amazed by the experience. Arriving at around 10:30 PM on a Friday, we found the restaurant unexpectedly quiet, with no other patrons in sight. This tranquility, however, only added to the charm of our visit. The affordability of the menu was a delightful surprise. The prices were incredibly reasonable, especially the $15 for an 8-ounce steak. There was also a combo for a 5-ounce steak with home fries, toast, and three eggs for a similar price. I now regret not opting for the ‘Big Breakfast’ - just a dollar more, including three large pancakes, sausage or bacon, and all the trimmings other than steak. I was genuinely surprised that such a gem wasn’t busier, given its fantastic pricing. It’s hard to understand how they manage to run with such tight margins, especially under current inflationary pressures. I truly hope they can sustain their business; they deserve every success for offering such great value. I wholeheartedly wish the best for the owners. It must be challenging to maintain profitability in these times, and to stay afloat, they really need the necessary volume given their tight margins. I will definitely recommend Honey B Hives to everyone I know, hoping to help them gain the business they rightly deserve.

Definitely a late night spot to go to if you are craving some breakfast at 2am or if you are drunk and want some good food. Service is excellent and quick. If you are REALLY hungry, get the Working Bee Breakfast

Super value for the AAA Striploin steak that comes with the soup/salad and dessert (mango pudding or ice cream). Foods are delicious and service is good. This restaurant opens 24 hours for all-day breakfast and with large selection of food. Highly recommend for people living in the Scarborough North area.

Good is pretty good for this price. Had the steak lunch and steak and eggs and club sandwiches. Taste pretty good. The mesh potatoes is good too, the steak is not bad at all.

Had the Steak for 14.99, amazing value. Included your choice of side, soup or salad, and dessert (mango pudding). Steak was better than I expected for 14.99, it was cooked just right. Cut of meat was cheap as it had some tendons and chewy portions but overall seasoned nicely. Soup was mushroom cream soup, very good actually. Mash potatoes was very nice tasting but was dry, while the seamed vegetables was not great. Dinner menu was small but concise, consisting mostly of pasta and the steak. Maybe only 10 items Service was extremely fast, food coming out less than 5 minutes after sitting down. Coupled with their operating hours this is a very good value location to try Overall great experience

Great all day breakfast place in the heart of Scarborough! I ordered the banana French toast and a coffee on the side and it was the right portion and tasted delicious. Much better than any modern hotel breakfast i have seen! Their main dish seems to be their flapjacks by the sheer size of them but amazing nonetheless! All in all great place to have breakfast if you’re in the area and passing through!

Our waitress was very helpful. The food was great. I was surprised about the wait time. Our food was on the table in under ten minutes of our orders. The restaurant is small, clean, and efficient. I have already told a few of my friends about the restaurant and will be returning soon.

Great place to grab a delicious, hearty breakfast. The restaurant itself is a little rundown, but the food is fantastic, the portions are large and the service is very quick. I highly recommend getting their "Worker Bee's" breakfast, their pancakes and the meatball subs.

Take out of breakfast from this place. Super friendly service and also quite fast too. Plenty of parking available. Had the Eggs Benedict with salmon which was good but lots of hollandaise sauce, which places cheap out on. I’d say I was a little disappointed on the four cheese omelette which felt like only melted cheddar with ordinary omelette. Their fruits were good too. Thank you.

Great place! I came in on christmas noon and received excellent service. Staff are very attentive, courteous and always available when you need them. Their service is fast, I didn’t have to wait a year to get my order. The food is good too. I recommend this place for great service.

Review based off ordering from Fantuan. For one, I was surprised they offered this place considering the app is mainly for Asian cuisines. Was looking for an early breakfast place and decided to try this. I was so surprised with the portion of food for the takeout. The pancaks were huge! And super fluffy. Generous portion of eggs and meat. Apparently from other reviews breakfast is an extra $1 charge after 3pm? All in all, would return.

Nice quite spot. Friendly staff are quick an attentive. Come early and take advantage of the early bird specials. They offer take out and uber option for delivery. Check them out! Open late very late. They also offer drive-thru!

Food tastes great! Prices are absolutely unbelievably affordable! This is definitely a HIDDEN GEM! They even have a drive-thru! Very friendly staff! You cannot beat a full 3 course steak meal for just over $10!!!
