I have to reiterate that their food is amazing! You must try their mushroom egg foo young. I’ve moved abroad and whenever I visit my parents I have to have Chou’s at least once before I leave. They have been here for a while so you know they've been serving great food for a long time.

The food lacked taste, you get what you pay for. Chilli chicken had bone in chicken, no salt, no spice, nothing. The place is extremely unkempt, saw spiders at the counter. This was the first time I tried this place, and was my last. People definitely are posting fake reviews of this place from fake profiles.

Look I know this place has been hear for a while but I had no idea I should have tried a few things off of this menu sooner. Yes, the usual dish is smaller than the average serving size we see around the city but those steaming containers of joy are packed with flavor, flavor, flavor. I got an order of the house special fried rice, chicken wings (a must), and the Shanghai noodles with pork and shrimp. 30$ for a dinner of 2. If none of these are your thing try a lunch special or what ever catches your attention. Enjoy!

The quality of the food matches the cheap price. I wouldn't recommend it. The kitchen is also very dirty. I don't like leaving negative reviews, especially for a small business but the reviews here are definitely coming from fake profiles. I've been 3 times and it got worse each time. I was hoping they just had bad day butI was wrong and won't be going back.

I try to order a combo over the phone using the menu listed on Google, and the guy on the phone told me the price is wrong and increased from $7.50 to $10.00... and advised me to come inside to see the new prices. 10mins later I went inside and asked the guy (the same guy I was on the phone with) for the menu, he pointed the menu at the desk & it showed the EXACT SAME price as on the menu on Google. Then he tells me the price changes every month, horrible customer service! Take your business elsewhere

Price was way more then on the menu when I questioned it the guy freaked out saying he can change the price whenever he wants and everything else has gone up in price at the grocery store. When I tried to explain that I wasn’t happy and it would have been nice to have a heads up he continued so speak over me any time I said anything. I figured whatever not a big deal if I pay more I already ordered it and am at the store. When I got back and ate the food it was horrible definitely worst Chinese food I’ve ever had. Would recommend going somewhere else. Wish I would have just left after I realised he was charging me almost 10$ more then I expected to pay for a two person dinner.

Been eating at this spot since 2009. Solid restaurant. Interior is a bit outdated but don’t let that deter you on this place’s delicious food. The Combo plates are the go-to’s. The chicken wings, chicken balls, fried rice, chop suey, and shrimp balls are my favourite. Chou is an awesome guy and hard worker, his dedication shows in his food.

Been wanting to go here for awhile after seeing reviews so decided to try it out. Portions were a little smaller than typical Chinese Take-Out, but not by much. All the food was fresh but most of the meat dishes lacked meat, it was mostly veggies WHICH was not that bad. The flavor of the dishes wasn't too strong, a little subtle but my favorite part was the crunch off all the vegetables. The Chili Chicken had bones in it (chopped chicken wing meat) so I wish it specified on the menu but nonetheless it was still fresh and tasty! Definitely don't regret trying it, but it wasn't that spectacular to become my top Chinese places.

just the environment alone is worth a 1 star. very dirty kitchen. I had the chicken fried rice it wasn't bad for $10 but I'll never order from here again. kitchen looks like it hasn't been cleaned in 12 years go see for yourself, it's in plain view for customers to see. the other reviews are so fake

Ordered honey garlic wings, it had too much sauce. If you order wings, probably best to order dry. Ordered sui mai and har kow and it definitely tasted like it was just thawed out frozen, not fresh. Ordered shrimp wonton soup, and it tasted like hot water. The broth had no taste at all. It’s not a place I would order from again, but seems to be popular for cheap eats.

chows is great food for good price. i see some people crying about things being dirty but the best chinese food comes from absolute grease pits you dont go to dean park for a glamourous night on the town. the food is good and greasy just how a real man likes his chinese take out.

The kitchen was so unsanitary. I could see spiders running around. The food came pretty quick but lacked flavour. It is cheap yes but the quantities aren’t great. I will never go there again, that’s for sure.

Ordered the shrimp lo mein. Bomb AF; YUM. The egg noodles perfect bite and seasoned just right! Support local, perfect find craving Chinese after a nice long hike at Rouge Park.

Joe Chou was awesome. Friendly and delicious food. Good to have a spot you can count on for good quality food at any time

Good Friday halibut and fries cood have been much better this year. Fries were oily, fish tastes like it was sitting under the heat lamp for too long. I usually love this place but this year's dinner was a flop

Great local spot. Very good service, great food, big portions. Good quality food & prices. Ordered & enjoyed the wonton soup, egg rolls, shrimp with lobster sauce, and shanghai noodles (veg) & general tao chicken. Would recommend it all.

The food is really good but the red sauce can be watery at times & the chicken balls need to be cooked a little longer because they are a little doughy and pasty in the middle. Other than that the owner is pretty nice, There is a good sized language barrier. The atmosphere is very authentic! Definitely recommend.
