The ancient theater of Teos is not in the best of shape neither the city itself but the surroundings offers beautiful views and old olive trees which might even seem to be a bit creepy during the evening. The place doesn't have a entry fee, so that's a huge plus if you are a history fan.

40tl per person to get in, some places are fenced some aren't. You can have a nice walk, but bring good shoes because its a bit rocky and uneven. Beautiful historic site, not always that good with the signs along the road but you will manage. Be prepared to spend atleast a couple of hours here btw... great place to enjoy the scenery to btw and to make lots off memories/photos

An atmospheric small theatre, most of the seating has been laid out in an adjacent field, presumably for future restoration. The cavea is partially intact and worth scrambling to the top to view its construction.

If you go in March/April it is still green and less crowded. Beautiful place to wonder around.

Wasn't sure if I had to pay or not. Some security guy becomes us over and spoke Turkish to us and made us pay. I think the actual ruins may be free but the centre (gift shelf , projector, model) charges. Security man spoiled it a bit for me. I would have donated way more than he insisted I pay. The place itself was really interesting though. Nice geocache location. Quite a few bits were cordoned off due to renovation works.

It does seem very nice and beautiful. It is good to know history around of you, I loved my time at here. However, road the Souther Dock is not in a good condition I Hupe they will fix it. I highly recommend everyone to go here.

The iconic historical landmark of the region, Teos. A must go place in Izmir. Besides the Ancient Theater, there are also nearby historical landmarks like the Ancient Harbor and the Temple.

Unfortunately most of the ruins are in pieces on the ground but still the landscape is very calming and beautiful
