A first in Sibiu. Tried the big menu, item nr 10, both chicken options and both delicious. Soft and tender meat, crunchy exterior and amazing glazing, both the sweet and spicy or the honey garlic. Very friendly staff, checking to see if all is alright, if we need anything. They saw that I was interested in Korean cuisine and culture and even offered to answer any questions or provide cooking instructions when I will attempt Korean cooking myself. I will definitively go again!

The official opening is next week, 12.22, but I accepted the invitation for an unofficial tasting… I must say, I’m still licking my lips in hope for another taste of that yummy food 🤤

When we (me and my girlfriend) first entered we were shocked to see how small yet "homey" this place feels. It's exactly like several other small family owned Korean restaurants i visited abroad. Total capacity of the restaurant might be around 15 people. We chose the Basak Menu B, which contains both versions of chicken, some fries and 2 soft drinks (coke, fanta, sprite or water). Additionally we also wanted to try the beef Mandu. The waiting time for the dishes, which are cooked only by two Korean ladies, was not long at all. The fries were crispy and went surprisingly well with the chicken. The Mandu was deep fried, and while i personally prefer them steamed, they were still very tasty! A sauce would have been perfect next to them, it was our mistake that we didn't order a sauce, we somehow didn't see it on the menu! The chicken was the star! Both versions are absolutely delicious and worth trying. The yangnyum chicken was very little spicy combined with honey and some peanuts over it, which gave an extra crunch! Absolutely delicious recipe, i will try to replicate it to my best efforts! The Honey Ganjang chicken was a little more salty than the other portion, while it still had a subtle hint of honey, the garlic and onion complimented the taste extremely well and created this delicious divinity. The portions seem small at first impression but it only takes a few bites to understand that they are much more filling than you expect! We were really full after eating all of the food! The prices are definitely above average for Romania, but Korean cuisine is always a bit pricier due to the special ingredients that need to be imported. The food is held to high standards, being cooked fresh and good quality ingredients. The girls working there are very friendly and are constantly assuring that you have a great experience. They speak very good English and also some Romanian! All in all, for Romania, this is a gift from God. Small, cozy, delicious. For me it is a solid 5* location! Definitely worth a visit, whether you take it to go or dine there. Enjoy!

Coreean food like I imagine it is made at home, in Coreea! Delicious! Recommend the fried chicken !! 🤤

Was just there for the pre-opening and the food is absolute delicious! Indeed, crunchy stuff were served in authentic korean cooking. Got to purchase imported korean soju and rice beer too! Cant wait for the full opening 😋

Nice little place with Korean food close to some of Sibiu's attractions. The food was tasty, we had rice with chicken and some fried dumplings with pork. I felt like the food/price ratio was not great. We got little food for the amount of money we paid. I was expecting the rice with chicken to have more stuff, towards the end of my meal I was left with a bunch of rice. But overall a nice experience, authentic people and very polite. They have some interesting alcohol which is strawberry flavored.

If you want to eat authentic Korean fried chicken, go to BASAK! It’s a small and cozy restaurant, which offers delicious Korean flavours in the heart of Sibiu. Highly recommended!

The atmosphere was wonderfully cozy, and the dishes were absolutely delicious. We enjoyed a delightful meal of chicken with rice and pork dumplings.

Nice little take out shop in the heart of Sibiu. Very tasty food. We tried their bab-cup chicken, kimchi friend rice and 2 types of Korean dumplings, of which my favorite were the tofu and veg ones.

The menus are a good deal. And I wasn’t expecting the Korean chicken to be this good!! Hopefully the food in Korea is as good as here.

Both Korean Chicken dishes are AMAZING! Balanced flavors and very very tasty. And the French fries are cooked to perfection 🤭 highly recommend!

It was a lovely experience: the food and the music were very good! There are just a few items in the menu, but they are tasty and well cooked. You can also find Korean beverages like soju or makgeolli. The kimchy was excellent.

Best corean food in town, good service and cosy atmosphere! The food was delicious, and the food for home was as spicy as advertised!

Very good chicken and the chance to try food from a different culture. Loved also the kimchi which is kind of a spicy pickled/fermented cabbage and very traditional Korean. A great addition to Sibiu's restaurant scene, I will definitely return soon.
