Certainly not for your garden-variety tourists but food was 100% genuine the customers were 100% genuine and we got to see the real Sibiu. This place is 100% legit. Prices are great!

I was travelling in Romania and went here about 4 times while in Sibiu. This is a place for the locals and as a tourist was a great way to see the real Romania. There is nothing fancy about this place, but that's what gave it charm. I had lunch one day, and the food was surprisingly good. Beers on the sidewalk are great as you see a diverse mix of people going by doing their daily routines.

Their name is doner kebap but they also have traditional dishes! I had a big hot meal of sarmale and mamaliga for only 17 lei, and it seems like a popular spot for locals. They also have soups and stews. The people behind the counter were friendly, spoke English, and showed me what was under the trays so I could pick. You could come here several times to try all the different things they have, and they take card.
