Sorry, but never again! We were looking for a nice Georgian restaurant, and found this one, due to high recommendation rate. The experience wasn’t nice, here is why: We came at 16.30 and didn’t book the table, as we arrived, there was no guests, we were asked if the table was booked, after we said no, we got the worse table at the end of the restaurant near the toilet, where it’s not enough space to sit comfortably, because they keep baby chairs and other stuff. The restaurant was totally empty! We spent there 1 hour, and it was still empty as it was when we arrived! I mean, of course I would understand due to reservations it was no space, but there were plenty of tables without the reservation signs, and once more during our stay no people arrived! At restaurants they usually would tell you, I can give you this table till that time! The service was poor, it’s not our first experience with Georgian food. Usually Georgian restaurants are offering extraordinary service, because it’s in there culture. In this place everybody was so cold, not even mentioning, that stuff were talking in Russian with each other, and they knew we talk in Russian as well, but talked with us only in German. Well ok. Food was okey. We came to eat Hinkali(dumplings), when we ordered, the girl said She doesn’t know if they have it, because yesterday they got a big order!! I said we came to this place specifically to eat this , and asked her to check! I mean cmon! It’s Saturday! They have to be prepared, since it’s one of most famous Georgian food! She came back and said that they have only one big portion. Okey we ordered it and dumplings were okey, with a real Georgian spices, but just okey. We also took hachapuri. That was again a disappointment, because charging 14€ for such a small bread with cheese and 1 egg is total failure. Itself the atmosphere in restaurant is nothing special, it’s poorly decorated to be honest. So just a conclusion never again.

Cosy traditional Georgian restraunt. Everything was tasty and served fast and well. Though if you are looking for chenkali - try to order in advance as everything is fresh made and there was not enough ready for more than a couple of servings at the time we were there. Update: a couple of years later it is still a good place to visit. Tea with honey cake was a delight. Small soup is almost the same size as large one.

What a gem! The food here was excellent and we loved everything the staff recommended, especially the combination of Badridschani (grilled aubergine and walnut paste) and the cheese round bread. It was a match made in heaven. I also love the chicken bbq - perfectly cooked and well seasoned. The Ostri (veal in sizzling tomato sauce) was also very good and quite rich. I think it’s perfect for colder weather. Of course we ended the meal with dessert. We shared a huge slice of honey cake. It was amazing! Sweet but not overwhelming because of the citrus in there. The staff was very welcoming and helpful with their recommendation. I highly highly recommend this place.

Tasty, but small portions and overpriced. I have visited this restaurant two times within a month and although the food was tasty both times, it was the only constantly positive thing about the visit. Service was generally good, but while the first time a person was very friendly and helpful, the second time the atmosphere was not very friendly, and the vibe was spread from several people. Food is really good, much better than in the most Georgian restaurants in Berlin I have visited. But portions of some dishes , especially relatively to prices, are disappointing. Here I specifically speak about khachapuri adjaruli - probably, the smallest I have ever seen in my life. Also portion of khinkali either could be bigger or the price smaller. The prices were a real shock - in the period of three weeks between our visits they have increased by 2€ for almost (if not all) dishes. And the waitress also argued with me that the prices already were like that. Prices before I found quite okay, quite similar to other Georgian restaurants, but this increase I don’t find understandable. In addition, both times some other customers were quite loud and made it uncomfortable to spend time in the restaurant. As we could understand, one of the group were constant visitors and had good relationships with the staff, that gives me more reasons to think about whether to come to this restaurant again.

They do the most delicious clay pot garlic chicken!!! It's a MUST EAT! Cheese bread goes really well with the sauce too!

This Georgian Restaurant is highly rated and rightly so. We reached here for early dinner and could get a table while others were already reserved. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They have a range of vegetarian dishes also on their menu. We loved the way they served their Lobiani.

The outside of the restaurant doesn't do it any justice. The waiters are courteous and attentive, the decor will put you in Georgia, the food is very well prepared and the presentation and running of the service is impecable. Worth every Euro spent. Highly recommended!

Everything was incredible - such an interesting assortment of flavors thanks to the varied use of herbs and spices. Even the table bread stood out above any other we had on our trip. Make sure to end the meal with a honey cake and some Turkish coffee.

This restaurant is amazing in every way. The service was incredible, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere is welcoming and visually interesting. My husband and I are American and have never tried Georgian food before and the restaurant staff gave us excellent recommendations for dishes to try. Additionally, the portions were generous and the price was reasonable. Wishing we could take this restaurant back to the USA with us!

I'm definitely coming back here soon cause the food was delicious! I'd recommend making a reservation since on our first attempt to go there the restaurant was already booked out. Also the homemade kompot is really good!

The lady in the bar was a bit rude in the beginnig saying they were fully booked, there was 1 hour room before the next reservation however all their food she said takes more than an hour to be prepared, so I can not be served. When I asked for Khinkali only, she accepted me and I ordered a soup with meat and rice which was tasty however 8 euro was overpriced for small portion. I have paid 10.5 euro for only 3 Khinkali and they were far away from being tasty, mostly raw dough, not a pleasant experience. I will not return because it is really overpriced place with small portion and average taste.

We had an amazing dining experience at Salhino. The atmosphere was wonderful and all of the food we tried was delicious. We found the menu authentic and varied. The khinkali seem to be super popular so it’s worth ordering them in advance. We can also highly recommend the khachapuri, the chicken BBQ and the matsoni desert. But everything we ate was incredible! Finally the staff were incredibly friendly and warm. We will definitely be back next time we are in Berlin!

Wonderful place with amazing Georgian food. The staff will recommend you all the best pieces. Amazing Saperavi wine and classical Georgian nut salat.

Very friendly staff. It took too long to get any item of the food even the Salad (around 45 mins), we couldn't order dumplings because they said its not ready. The food was too oily and wasn't hot enough, the Fire Beans were nice though. Conclusion, I wouldn't go there again. This explains why all the good ratings are older than one year.

Great atmosphere! Good service for a large party of multi lingual tourists and locals. We ordered so many cheese bases dishes and Georgian table wine. Fun evening.

Great ambiance, friendly staff. Really tasty food and wine. The skewers are a must.

  • 4/5 Ashley J. 1 year ago on Google
Food was good but they were out of very popular things like dumplings. I get it, they're popular, but this was a weeknight and not that late, too early to run out of such a popular dish. Service was incredibly slow, and no one spoke English, if we had not had a German speaker with us, it would have been difficult. Good tasting but I will most likely not go back.

This was my first experience with Georgian food. The food and the folks were amazing. Loved the whole dining experience at this quaint and understated joint. I will definitely go back for a second helping.

Relatively new Georgian place in Berlin. Very authentic. The food was good but not amazing. I would, however, go back. They might want to reconsider the translation into English of one of their appetisers!

A bit pricey compare to the portion, but also tasty and great service. Their pork shashlik is the best I’ve ever had! I also got some explanation about the dishes in menu, which I never get in other Georgian restaurants in town. Will be back for sure.

From the appetizer of Georgian dumplings to the Honey cake dessert, one of the best meals I’ve had in Europe. Will definitely be coming back. 5 stars.

What a discovery has Georgian food been for us! This is the best food in the world! And this restaurant has no comparison, familiar environment ideal for dinner any day of the week. You can ask for recommendations if it's your first time, the flavors are unique and high quality. House wine is great!

We had an absolutely delightful experience at this Georgian restaurant! The food was divine, and the service was impeccable, especially thanks to the fantastic waiter. While the drinks may have been a tad on the strong side, it didn't detract from our overall enjoyment. We will definitely be returning. 5 stars!
