I recently stayed at a space pod hotel in Singapore, and I must say I had a wonderful experience. Despite staying there in 2019, I feel compelled to leave this review now as I came across the photos on my phone and it reminded me of the great time I had. The rooms were comfortable and unique, providing a cozy and futuristic atmosphere. The service was exceptional, and I would like to extend my gratitude to Ms. Alice, the kind receptionist, for going above and beyond to take care of another guest who arrived with a sprained ankle. The attention to detail and the friendly staff made my stay memorable. The concept of the space pods was intriguing, and I enjoyed the privacy and tranquility they offered. The facilities were clean and well-maintained. The location was convenient, with easy access to transportation and nearby attractions. I highly recommend this space pod hotel to anyone looking for a unique and comfortable stay in Singapore. I'm grateful for the pleasant memories and the exceptional service provided. Thank you to the entire team for making my stay enjoyable. Tansel Kaya

For a budget traveller, this can be considered one of the nice option. Quite cheap compare to other property (of course la, its SG) It located on the arab street and kampong glam, walking distance to masjid sultan and MRT station Bugis. The bead is clean and tidy, Its just that they can improve the cleanliness of the bathroom as it smells so bad.

Had a great stay at Met. The bed and the blanket makes me feel like in a hotel room, so comfortable. But the bed is very squeaky. Unfortunately some light button didn't work as it should be. There is no electrical plug inside (USB only) but you can charge it outside your pod (they provide you an extension). There is also a rooftop which I just knew about it. It has free coffee and tea. They also provide microwave. Bathroom were clean. It's just they need to provide a brighter light for the bathroom since the bathroom walls are painted in a dark colour. Overall I enjoy my stay here.

From 🇬🇧 Summary Positives - Great location, near public transport links and much food choice - rooftop use open - clean throughout - AC in dorms - Good facilities - Nice staff, welcoming Negatives - Broken locker - blue lights in pod that don't turn off on fans - no specific AC in pod, was way too warm - could hear everyone, lots of snoring - not overly cheap - bathroom doors were not easy to close, bit broken - inadequate power supply, no plug, and 2 usbs that had low amp output - rooftop seemed poorly maintained This honestly had a great location that had great links to the entirety of Singapore in a small amount of time. You could also walk down to the water if you wish for a look across the water with the city lights gleaming at night. It is situated in the Arab district, near the grand mosque. This means there are a lot of halal, Turkish, and Arab food options. But there are still local eateries too in omongst, which is great to have plenty of choice without it being too expensive. There is a open rooftop which you can see across most of the Arab district. This I thought was an added bonus as not many people came up here so was nice to have a bit of space. It did however look like it used to be something a bit more up there and now is a bit disused. The place is clean throughout and you see staff cleaning up areas throughout the day. The staff are quite friendly too, greeting with a smile and will help you out with an questions. There are good facilities with 3 toilets and showers on each floor as well as laundry facilities on each floor too. There is a sink with 2 taps and also a hairdryer for anyone to use. They also allow you to use their storage if you have to check out but have a later flight enabling exploration of the city on your last day without having to worry about bags. The pods themselves were clean. Most of the functions on the pad did not work in the pod. It had ac control which didn't do anything and we asked about this and they confirmed, it doesn't do anything. All the dorm has AC which is pumped into the pods also so in controlled centrally. Our pod got very warm at night so became uncomfortable. There was also a light on the exit fan that did not dim all night, so disturbed sleep. There was not enough options for power supply as only had two USB ports which were low ampage. It was not at all soundproofed so could hear everyone at all times. Furthermore, our locker that was meant to securely contain our property was broken, had no lock on it at all. The guy who was on the front desk actually noticed this at one point but did not address it. Overall, I imagine there are nicer places to stay for similar money, but you probably won't get as good a location. Quality of sleep was low and property wasn't secured so that kind of is the main point of this place.

Good service and clean pods. BUT very squeaky beds, the toilet was full of little white bugs, and the pods had no soundproofing. As someone who moved around a lot while sleeping and setting up, the beds were very noisy. There are no wall plugs, just 2 USB ports for charging, and you can only charge your stuff inside your pod while the card is inside it( the other option is the plug by the lockers). The location is very good and walking distance to mrt, alot of cheap restaurants and even Marina Bay. I don't think it's cheap or worth what I paid.

For me it's not worth the price. First, let’s talk about the pod. At first glance, the whole pod is actually quite modern, amazing and cool, but later I found out that the material is actually quite cheap the bed mattress is very thin it’s actually not comfortable. It is not recommended to stay for many days. My pod was at 4 floor so need to climb a bit. If you come to experience it for one night, I think it‘s good to go 👍🏻 Toilet : Overall OK 4/5 Price : Definitely NO ! 1/5 Service : OK 4/5

If you are traveling solo, this accommodation may be good for you. Pleasant price in a good location, BUT you need good earplugs, because it is noisy there at night. Roommates can snore, pack their luggage for the next trip or talk to each other. The capsule is not soundproof and a lot of light also penetrates there. I had hair in the capsule and it was not very clean. I managed to fall asleep at 2:30 a.m. because there was a lot of noise, despite the fact that I had plugs in my ears. There is no elevator, so you have to climb a few stairs. The lady at the reception was very helpful and kind.

Expensive for the quality The concept is great, however besides the lights inside the pod, there is not much “spatial” about this hostel. This place does the job : we can sleep, shower and store the bags, but nothing more. The price is very high compared to other pod hotels in town. Furthermore, there is no breakfast “because of covid”, even though other pod hotels have breakfast back. And the price on the reservation site was “breakfast included” so it would have been fair to offer us a discount given that we paid a price with a service included that was not provided. The pods are made of plastic, so it is very noisy : we can hear every movement, for example when someone turns over in its bed. The mattress is extremely thin, and very narrow for two people. Plus, there are no real sockets in the pod, only usb ones so impossible to charge a computer. And finally: there is a TV in every pod, but with no sound! Only subtitles. No Netflix nor YouTube on TV, only a few channels. We booked a two person capsule, but we only had one card so it is a struggle as the same card is used to access the locker, the hotel, the pod and to have electricity in the pod. To sum up: this hostel does the job, but for the price you could expect a better quality and service, that is why I am disappointed.

Capsules are modern and nice, yet all the rest of the capsule hotel experience is not nice. Only 3 toilets/showers for approx a room of 20 people, not clean at all. Lobby staff was friendly

Bed was not clean. Bedsheet ripped. Toilets do not have an exhaust fan. Very steamy and so hot. Website mentions breakfast but no breakfast provided. No one at reception. Poor experience Don't go.

A very unique and great hostel. Clean, good and helpful reception service. Nice view over the City from the roof top when you can have a morning coffee and breakfast. Easy connection with the airport and close to the main City attractions, surrounding with little boutiques and bars streets. Highly recommend this hostel.

Cosy capsule hotel on Arab Street. My boyfriend and I stayed here for a few nights and found it very cosy and comfortable. It’s in a lovely area with loads of shops, cafes, restaurants and gorgeous architecture, and the nearest bus stop is a 2 min walk and the closest metro is about 8 min walk. Plus there’s a 7-11 right next door! There were some things that were difficult - each pod only gets 1 locker so we only had storage for 1 backpack, which meant my massive backpack and both of our day bags had to be in the pod with us, taking up lots of room. Luckily I’m quite short so we put them at the end of the bed, so it wasn’t a big deal but if you are quite tall then this would be an issue. Also, the handle on our pod was very loose so we couldn’t use it, and this alongside the tiny steps made it quite difficult to get in and out of the pod. Although other reviews say they are very noisy, we hardly heard anything (I think lots of the pods on our floor were empty though.) We didn’t have any issues with the shared bathrooms - they were well maintained, hot water, always had plenty of shower gel and shampoo, there was always at least 2 available and hairdryers are available. The pod itself was comfy and had 2 aircon fans, 2 hooks, 2 USB ports and 1 power socket. The staff were really friendly and they let us store our bags there on our last day. If you book a capsule hotel, you know that it won’t be luxury! We would definitely stay here again 😊

Amazing place to stay. Great experience. Clean, easy, clear instructions. Comfortable and spacious pod. Late check in was great. Showers nice. Fun to try for the first time. Cool location. Pretty perfect for £15. Can't complain. Only problem was that my headphones didn't work with the TV in my pod.. but I cant really complain about that. Thanks MET ;)

Cool capsule hotel. You will feel like you are in space. Not big but enough space in capsule, good shower and nice staffs. Location is perfect! The capsule walls are thin so you hear sounds other makes. There are only three restrooms and showers. Overall, good deal.

Beautifully tidy and clean pod hotel with lovely, friendly staff. The pods are very comfortable with TVs, alarm clocks, nice lighting and healthy wifi. Lockers are also provided for luggage. It is in a good location, with many types of restaurants nearby. Can be slightly difficult to find, as it's just around the corner in Baghdad Street, off Arab Street.

The cleanliness of the common areas and bathroom were not up to standard, there was hair everywhere and ants crawling around the toilets. With the setup of the showers next to the toilets there was water all over the place, so we ended up using public restrooms as they were cleaner. There is no AC so the common area and stairwell can be stuffy. The pod itself was decently comfortable and it has a fan so it was better than the common areas. There is only one key for a double pod which is very inconvenient, and the pods are not insulated so there is no difference between sleeping in a pod and a regular hostel. There is a TV but no sound so we didn't end up using it, not sure if the sound works with headphones. When checking out they stored our bags and told us that we can return anytime before 18h to pick them up, when we returned at 15h the door was locked and the phone left unanswered. We ended up waiting over 15 minutes until another guest let us in to get our bags (that guest had run into the same issue we had). The responded to our messages after we retrieved the bags. It is not worth it for the price, we had stayed in a hotel the nights before that was cheaper and of much higher quality. We chose the pod hotel as we thought it would be a fun experience and the reviews spoke very highly of it, it did not live up to its reputation.

The receptionist was lovely and very helpful. The beds were comfortable but the walls between the beds are very thin and the bed frames squeak - so every time someone moves or gets out of their pod it's super loud. Great location though, right next to a street with vintage clothes shops.

Good hostel to stay while exploring Singapore for a few days. Location is excellent to explore the city - within a 10 minute walk of the Bugis MRT station and other bus lines. Beds were comfortable and pods were private. Fairly quiet, so very conducive for sleeping. This isn't a very social hostel; there is no common area or place to chill - just a place to sleep. Price was a bit high for what you get, but that's all of Singapore in general, so no fault to this place.

It’s a really nice experience for once in a life! Well located, closer to the subway station for going to the airport and surrounded by restaurants and shops. The place is really nice, I just wish people were more interested in keeping everything clean and tidy, which is clearly not the place’s fault. I would recommend it but yes, it’s expensive but worth the experience.

I was excited until i forgotten to take photos for this review. Overall a good experience. The space theme is gorgeous. Very comfy to sleep. There's a rooftop to eat drink over there but no much to offer other than the great view. Creaking sound when u or someone moving in the pod. Toilet is very clean and the essential item is available except, no toothbrush/toothpaste available though. Minus points is that u cant charge iphone which uses type c inside the pod. Can't charge laptop either since no 3-pin plug. You need to sit outside the pod corner area. Tv is without sounds since you cant use speakers. Earpiece on tv(tested not working) (no Netflix or YT) so ended up watching using my mobile. Overall. I would recommend if you wanna have a budget staycation.

Good place to stay in Singapore for a few night sleep. Great location. The pods are clean, the room is clean, not smelly. Inside pod facilities are generally ok. Not so sound proof and can feel movements from surrounding pods, so not a great idea for sensitive sleepers. The lockers are inside the room but only hand carry size luggage may suit for storage. Receptionist is nice. No common space to commute, just pods for sleep. Down sides are the bathrooms area. Just ok to use, most of the time wet. (not a good thing since no shoes allow in the room, no room slipper, so prepare for the wet feet). (the photos are taken in the morning, just after the staff done cleaning, so it's dry and clean) A bit pricey but it's Singapore, so can't complaint.

Nice location once you find your way there, pods were quiet, sleeping was REALLY comfortable. Very futuristic looking inside rooms. Bathrooms and showers were NICE. 7-11 is right next door, can walk to GARDEN BY THE BAY in 25 minutes from here, SUN TEC mall is not bad if looking for a McDonald's or Burger King on the way to Garden By The Bay to eat at if the local food isn't your style or your price range, I was glad this was my first sleeping pod hotel since I found it enjoyable. Disliked · T.V. in the pods only had 7 channels so unless you are big on Singapore soap operas NO NEED to book a pod with a T.V. since the T.V. is useless. Just use your laptop and the WIFI and watch Netflix if you have an account. You may want to keep in mind if you arrive late (after 8 or 830 p.m.) the place will send you a four digit code via booking to unlock a locker outside to get a key card to open the front door and the email will also tell you the floor and pod that key card will open. I arrived and lucky for me two guests showed me the wifi code for me to read this e-mail last minute so I could get my key card, otherwise I would be outside lost like a homeless person.

Thoroughly claustrophobic little coffins, the double ones are just about big enough for a single person to stay in comfortably. Reasonably well ventilated with comfortable mattress, fine for one night but not suited to an extended stay. The lockers they provide are only big enough for a small backpack so we had to leave our suitcases out on the floor and lock only our valuables away. Toilets are in the shower cubicles so the floor is always wet, not nice when you get up for a wee in the night! Location is good, really cool area of Singapore with 7/11 next door and some good cheap restaurants and cool bars nearby. Our coffin was on the fourth floor and there's no lift so if you enjoy carrying luggage up 4 flights of stairs this is the place for you - otherwise not recommended.

The space capsules are good, and staff is very helpful. I requested a corner capsule so I could leave it open if I felt suffocation. I could leave it open. Everything is well organised. Except the bathrooms. Most people leave it watered. So they are not well organized.

  • 4/5 NH E. 1 year ago on Google
The pods are ok, I would say they are spanking Clean. There's plenty stains on bedding and pillows. Plus, Its rather hard probably to give them a good clean as I doubt very very much they pull out the mattress for a good clean. Bathroom/shower are shared. I'd have appreciated a bit more hygiene, but I suppose that's what you get for sharing. Interesting experience, wouldn't do it again though. Location is great.

  • 2/5 James K. 1 year ago on Google
It is well cleaned. It is very cheap. It is a great location. The beds and pillows are adequately comfortable. On a budget and want a convenient, central location - there is no problem with this hostel. Wifi works fine too. Useful little large balcony and kitchen stuffs on the top floor (microwave, sink, hot water, tea and coffee things, bowls, plates etc). HOWEVER... The pods are a nice idea but not sound proofed AT ALL (and you can see this through the numerous little gaps in the simple plastic construction, which also let in plenty of light by the way). Anyone snoring nearby, you WILL hear it. Many of the bed bases are pretty squeaky so any movement from yourself or surrounding pods, you WILL hear it. The sound proofing claim is just a joke full stop. Whilst this is the only bad thing, I could not sleep for 3 nights so this ruined my trip. I was forced to use noise cancelling headphones all night (even then snoring and creaks got through). Gutted, but that's the story.

Neat idea. Highly overpriced though. The pods are made from cheap plastic and are quite loud. Stayed at a different hostel after this which was cheaper and more comfortable. Location was good

  • 3/5 Rafael V. 1 year ago on Google
This is a 3.5 stars Hostel at maximum. The pods are indeed how they look in the picture and it can be a fun experience but that’s about it. The hostel itself is overdue a renovation. Bathrooms was poor and there was no air conditioning. The rooftop is falling apart. And that’s about it, there is nothing else in the hostel apart from it’s nice-looking capsules. As mentioned already, avoid it for a long stay (not comfortable enough) and only choose this place for the pod and to instagram it.

While the address says arab street it is in the side street at 56 arab street (part of the same building but the entrance is in the side street and not in arab street). The pods were clean and comfortable with a good ac one can controll as well as good WiFi. The showers were excellent and easy to use with free shampoo and bodywash.

The positives: The futuristic pod is pretty comfortable and the customer service is friendly and helpful. The location would suit people wanting a decent night life or for those wanting to wander around the narrow and beautiful streets during the day. The downsides though are: There is limited bag storage in your private locker (only fits cabin baggage). So if you are carrying bigger bags, you will have to leave them lying around in the capsule pod area. There are only 3 bathrooms for around 20 plus capsules, so it can get a bit busy and messy. Have stayed in other capsule hostels offering a better bathroom to capsule ratio. Overall though a good experience.

Clean and comfortable, staff are nice and friendly. Unfortunately, location is beside an eatery that blasts loud music well into midnight and beyond, which you can hear even with earplugs and closed doors. Not recommended if you're an early sleeper.

😠 First time in Singapore and the worst experience I’ve ever had in life. We didn’t like the beds and told the front desk we didn’t like it and we want our money back.
