1 word to describe this hostel: AWFUL. Detail: Landed in Singapore at night and arrived in the hostel at 9pm. Receptionist was not in the place and there’s a note in the door to contact the receptionist by WhatsApp (where I just landed and got no connection and really tired). LUCKILY there were guests who opened the door for us and inform us about the wifi. Shortly I contact the receptionist, 6 calls and several messages was not answered! There’s a key with a note of the room number. No information to whom the key is. There’s only me. So I decided to use the key and put my luggage in the room. Got out again to find my self a sim card. And noticed that the receptionist has contacted me telling that I got the wrong room at 11pm!! (I contacted him at 9pm). I was so tired and I had to move my luggage again to the other room. In the next morning I was about to check out, got to wait for the receptionist again and he came at 10am annoyingly said that I booked only one bed when I actually book for two! I have to wait again to check out until he speaks to his boss found out that I was right! Sigh. I will never ever go back here and I suggest you not to book in this hostel. There’s only 2 toilets for like 12 beds in the same floor. Where one of the toilets lamp is not working. Smelly and really small. You take shower in the small and dark toilet.

Small inn with hostel room. Reception is friendly and helpful. However, some minor improvements are needed such as tighten the loose door knob of certain room, change the old bathroom door and shelter at the storage area in case of rain. All in all, it was alright, would go back again.

The place is nearby the downtown area, near mrt station and they also provide a cheaper ticket for attractions. The host was really helpful and welcoming us. Really recommend place to stay when u visit Singapore

I have no complaint about this hostel because I am satisfied with everything here. Our group has 4 adults and I booked a family room for 4 people (through Agoda). When we reached the hostel, we was got a room of 6 beds (street view). Wow! larger room, more beds and no more paying. The door is locked by electronic keypad, the beds are clean, comfortable, the AC is also good, the bathroom is not too bad, it`s clean enough to use. There is a kitchen where we can make instant noodles and tea in the morning. Tea, coffee is free. The staff is very helpful, they help me to find the best way to catch the shuttle bus to Kuala Lumpur. In short, there is no thing bad here. We will return this hostel next time when I visit Sg again

The facilities there were old, dusty and barely functioning. There is basically no customer service. The lady at the counter, Kelly, was very rude and unhelpful. The housekeeping guy would sit at the sofa near the toilets and would be very noisy throughout the day, watching his dramas with loud volume. Toilets were rusty and doors were not locking and unlocking properly. The rooms were dusty and floor was dirty. The gaps between the beds and the wall was super dirty and dusty. If the excuse 'cheap so lousy quality' is used, I hope Air B&B revise their policies. If you plan on staying out the whole day, and only need a place to sleep and shower, maybe this would do. If you can ignore the cleanliness, then that's alright.

Avoid this place at all costs !! Such a lack of care from the staff who twice came into our room unannounced waking us up and moving other guests belongings! There are no extras like towels or breakfast . Showers are mouldy and there are not enough of them . Water was cold. Also there are no proper kitchen facilities meaning washing up in the bathroom sink. We asked to use the laundry service to which half of our clothes were soaked wet after heavy rain during the night. A family (couple and a baby) wanted to check into our room as we left. There were 2 other girls in our room so the staff just gathered all their personal belongings and put it in their suitcases while they were out and they’re probably moving them into another room without them even knowing. If you want the staff handling your personal belongings without your consent then stay here. I do not recommend this place . Avoid at all costs !! I can’t see any positives apart from the beds which were adequate . Do not stay here !!

A little disappointing. We chose this hostel based on rave reviews and were a little disappointed with the quality of the accommodation offered. The room was clean and thankfully had air conditioning, however the bathrooms were quite run down. There were few kitchen facilities offered. Good location though and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Comfortable hostel on Lavender street. Easy to get to from metro. Basic room, had ac but did not work well. Bathroom needed a good cleaning.

Singapore is a tough country for hostels. We get it. However, it doesn't change standards for cleanliness and thoughtfulness that can be applied to any business. Let me say up front, the staff was lovely. Very friendly, always helpful. It just seems like there is not enough staff or they are not being directed appropriately. The location IS very convenient for getting to several MRT stations. Upon checking in the floor of the room was dirty and the sheets and pillowcases for both beds had not been changed. The attendant in the lobby got right on it and changed the sheets. Our room had a fan and AC. The fan did not work. The first night we realized our bed had a twin sized blanket on it. It worked out because it's WARM in Singapore. The staff resolved it immediately the following day. The bathrooms seemed to be out of toilet paper the majority of the time. The shower upstairs had no door on its stall, and leaked profusely from its joints. Also, the breaker blew upstairs every time someone turned the heater on for the upstairs shower water. This was likely because every room had their aircon units on. The cleanliness overall was not bad, but it was not good enough to have an enjoyable experience showering and using the toilet. The aircon did work well overall in keeping the room nice and cool for us to return to. As much as it may hurt because lodging is expensive in Singapore, spend a couple extra bucks and do no stay here. With a little more TLC, this place would be really nice. Thank you for the hospitality.

It's a good hostel close to the MRT station and bus stop, however it is fairly overpriced considering it only has one toilet and 2 showers for all guests. The host is very friendly and the beds are incredibly comfortable plusbthe air-conditioning is great aswell. I would probably not come here again though since there is no real common are to hang out and meet fellow travelers.

😠 First time in Singapore and the worst experience I’ve ever had in life. We didn’t like the beds and told the front desk we didn’t like it and we want our money back. They didn’t give our money back and we were kinda forced to stay just because our fees were not refundable. Very very congested. They...
