Long queue at the pharmacy. I had to ask an old lady to stop waiting and get a seat, I will let her know when it is her turn. I would have expected a better system, allowing people to scan their NRIC, get a Q number and be seated to wait. Tan Tock Seng Hospital can do better. This is Singapore, not a village, why is the system here so poorly designed? Elderly and injured patients have to stand in queue for so long just to do their registration. Terribly disappointed. How is this hospital transforming care when it cannot even improve its queue system?

I accompany my husband to see doctor at 12.15pm and were then directed to collect medication. Registered at 1.07pm and we're told that we need to wait for 1.5hrs but we were only called at 3.30pm. The worst waiting time to just collect medication. So many counters but less than half opened. This is terrible with so many elderly and sick People with no choice but to wait. Pls be more considerate and do something to improve your system.

The long waiting time at the centralised pharmacy on Level 1 is appalling and totally unexpected for an established hospital like TTSH. This poor standard of customer service negates all the good and efficient work of the doctors and nurses at the clinics. I hope TTSH management looks into this. Every patient is expected to join 2 queues. First, to register and confirm the prescription that the doctor would have sent electronically to the pharmacy. After clearing this first gate, it's another long wait in the second queue to collect the meds. There are only 5 counters managing the inflow of patients wanting to register in the first queue. These 5 counters process the registration requirement for the majority of patients across the various TTSH clinics. (Note - This excludes the private patients who reportedly, and understandably, collect meds directly at their respective clinics) Clearly, there is a flow model issue here. TTSH management should review and model the flow of patients more accurately and size the number of counter staff accordingly. To illustrate the seriousness of this chokepoint issue, I arrived at 1155am with queue sequence number of 240 when counters were serving up to 175. It took another 60 mins before my number was called. That's an average of 1 patient per minute just to register. The pharmacy staff were observed to be doing their best and working continuously to clear the queue. However, they were constrained by the design limitations of the ops system and workflow. I emphathize with the large number of elderly patients who needed to wait for extended periods of time. Some even needed to stand as there was limited seats. Unfortunately, many of them may not know how to share their frustrations and disappointment. This problem requires a more fundamental review of the workflow and the pharmacy management by the TTSH management.

The waiting time at the pharmacy was really ridiculous. 20mins standing to Q for registration and another 1hr plus waiting for medication. Ask if I could opt for Order and delivery service, due to new medication, delivery service denied. Ended up waited more than 2 hrs (is this acceptable to the management if you were the one waiting?!) at the pharmacy just for Meds. The pharmacy here was overly crowded and and insufficient seating. Once awhile you see frustration elderly creating a scene here. Their tiredness and confusion. I urge The hospital management team, you really need to look into this issue to shorten the waiting time. Thank you.

The medical report charges are exorbitant and the office is not helpful at all. They are very focused on money making - even from elderly. I would recommend other hospital. We had no choice as the ambulance sent us here. Though I must say Doctor from Orthopaedic was good but the hospital is heartless.

Extremely bad service at TTSH Business Office. I understand they close at 3pm on Sundays but I was there around 2:56pm to print a simple bill. Not only did they refuse to do so or even tend to my queries, they even closed their curtains on purpose. How rude and unprofessional.

The service at ttsh was atrocious I was greeted with unfriendly nurses at the A&e ward. Which doesn’t shows any sort of empathy and was very insensitive. Wave at the nurse as I have questions she straight up ignore me and treat me as invisible. What kind of attitude is that? Is this the kind of service especially in the front-liner ? I was surrounded with covid patient without mask ?? Hello I was there for a reason and shouldn’t be treated that way..I had shortness of breathe prior coming here And what I’m I waiting for ?

I went to B2 pharmacy today. Kudos to the staff who assisted me despite the long wait time and many many patients they had to attend to, they still helped to expedite my meds and I managed to get to work on time today! Thank you for the help today!! Great job!

Went to ED at night. It was my first time there and was confused as to which way to go. Accidentally entered the pharmacy at the ED and asked the Filipina girl at the counter for directions. She was unaccommodating and looked very annoyed and rude. Not the right attitude for a staff at one of the biggest hospitals in Singapore. She must definitely be reprimanded or even fired for her unprofessional demeanour. She was probably annoyed at the fact that she was not able to figure out how to make her computer work which I find idiotic but she should've still had the courtesy to at least be polite. We have been going back and forth at the clinics and other areas/facilities within Tan Tock Seng and so far she was the only rude one I have encountered. Should've gotten her name so I could expose her here. Too bad I was in such a rush.

I want to share my frustration with my recent visit to TTSH pharmacy. The whole process was just too much. First, I had to scan my ID to get a number to register, and after waiting for an hour, they gave me another number to wait for my medicine. Can you believe it? Another 1 to 2 hours of waiting! I don't get why they added this extra step. Last time, after scanning my ID, I would get a number to collect my medicine. This additional steps of collecting medicine just makes things take way longer, longer than seeing a doctor! It doesn’t make sense. What made it worse is seeing so many counters just sitting there empty while lots of people, especially elderly waiting. They even have a robot giving out medicine, but it didn't seem to help at all. It does not align with their goal to increase efficiency. I know TTSH might want to create jobs, but this is not the way. This experience was really disappointing, and I hope TTSH can resolve this issue. I have been to SGH but they are way faster. This is really bad and a disgrace for TTSH.

I have a scheduled blood test at 9.00am follow by consultation at 11am on 11 may 22. I reached TTSH clinic 3A early and had my blood sample taken by 8.45am. However, my scheduled consultation at 11am was not on time. The doctor at clinic 3A room 23 finally see me at 1.16pm. A very long wait of more than 2 hours. TTSH Management definitely have to look into the long patient waiting time. Sigh.

Super rude staff on more than one occasion. I understand that the hospital is busy and not all staff are rude but I would still appreciate some basic kindness and compassion towards the patients and family members instead of being given snide remarks when we make mistakes regarding the administrative procedures to follow, as if we are supposed to know how your hospital runs. Plus the waiting times are atrocious. 4 hours for a simple follow up even with an appointment. SGH would be a better bet.

I can't understand why we pay for a certain class of ward but is given a bed along the corridor with no fan nor ventilation and noises all around. I would understand if the beds were fully occupied but I noticed that there were a number of empty beds for more than half the day and yet the nurses say they need to keep it reserved for special patients in case. How fair is that when we are paying the same rate but given totally different treatment???

My wife went in for day surgery on 15/7/22 for peritoneal dialysis. And she was admitted to the wards. On the next day, she required to go for dialysis at ttsh. But the nurse at that renal department give a bad remarks on my wife as she herself was a nurse before. When i come visit her. She was crying, and the wards nurses is very kind to pamper her with care. I felt very angry on the remarks that the renal nurses did to my wife. She told me that the women looks like a tomboy, wear specs. With a hair cut look like a mens hair. What a professional we had.

I was at ttsh A&E dept on 11 Dec 2023,the register counter at about 8.30pm. Although it was super busy and non stop covid patients, a male nurse at the register counter was very caring and helpful to assist my big sized uncle to wheel chair despite lack of manpower! The nurses at triage also super nice and knowledgeable! They work so well as a team, trying their best to provide all the attention to huge crowd of patients coming in ASAP. As a government subsided hospital, eveyone should be patience. If it is an emergency, they will know what to do! Thank you to all the hard working nurses! Great job!

Wuhan Case From Media : On Jan. 30, she visited Tan Tock Seng Hospital’s (TTSH) emergency department, but was discharged when chest x-rays came back negative for pneumonia. She reported that she did not leave her home at Jalan Bukit Merah from Jan. 31 to Feb. 2. On Feb. 3, she went to SGH and was classified as a suspect case. TTSH , Can you wake up ? Are you trying to be Ng Teng Fong

The standard of service is ridiculous. I was treated in the A&E department of the hospital for a sports injury in April this year, and I can say that most of the doctors and nurses were extremely unprofessional and had a poor attitude. Even the dressing of my wound was done haphazardly, might as well don’t do it. The doctor took off my mask unnecessarily and never put it back on again, I estimate that I spent at least 70% of the 2 hour in the emergency department without a mask, and the other doctors and nurses also didn't care when they noticed the situation. What was even more amazing was that after the treatment, as I lay in the emergency department waiting room for instructions and medication, I noticed that almost all of the patients around me (having their noses or mouths exposed), and the doctors and nurses were just kept chitchatting with each other and taking no safety measures at all. No wonder a huge covid cluster broke out here just a few days later.

Visited emergency department twice in the past 4 years. My place to go whenever i need to get medical attention urgently. Went alone to get urgent medication as I couldn’t bear it anymore. Waiting time to see doctor after the registration usually take some time, depends on how busy the hospital is. Based on my experiences i got better quite fast once the doctor put iv drip and liquid medication. Not 100% healthy, but they keep on check and review before they decided to discharge the patient. The prices were affordable. The nurses were very helpful, every time i need their help they will come quickly and help me. Once i felt better i was very hungry. I asked the nurse if they have any foods. She told me that they only had milo and snacks. I just wanted to eat and she gave me a glass of hot milo and a bread. Waiting time to get medicine at pharmacy did not take very long time. Good experience here but i hope no more experience at the hospital in the future.

Nurses are nice but doctor is bad. Meet us to update on my mother's condition but never check her medicine intake details properly before she talked to us. Everything also said not sure, "i think". Our mother is required to take medicine continuously for 14 days. There were a few days that she did not take her medicine "completely" and yet the doctor did not even inform us promptly. She only told us that our mother has to restart her medicine cycle of 14 days again after she has been on that medicine for 10 days! We were hoping to get her discharged after another 4 days and then the doctor said must start counting from day 1 again! If she has alerted us, we would have rush down within the day to ensure our mother take her medicine fully. Another 14 days? The doctor seems to think it is fine for our mother to stay longer in the hospital. The longer she stays, the worse she gets as she is exposed to more virus, test and pain. Did the doctor even monitor my mother's medicine intake closely if the continuity is so important? Keep taking our mother's blood for different tests but never follow up to update us until we ask. She ordered the nurse to reduce glucose drip when our mother is unable to take in food yet and then ordered the nurse to take her blood to test her blood sugar level. Too low then give her glucose then take her blood to measure her blood sugar level again. My mother is unable to take any solid food yet and only can take a few sips of liquid. Why did the doctor not monitor her food intake to gradually reduce her glucose drip but instead simply cut her glucose drip abruptly? Is the doctor doing her own experiment? Blood sugar of course will be low if the glucose is reduced abruptly with no ample food intake. Keep taking her blood to test the blood sugar every few hours. My mother already old and frail and has dementia. But the doctor seems to think it is alright to keep taking blood from her. Now her hands swollen also and water is leaking from her arms. My mother has lived 90 years for now and has never gotten such leaking arms. She develops all these during the "treatment" at hospital. When will my mother gets discharged if she keep developing more bad conditions here? Can we have another doctor? We really have no confidence in her.

22/9/23 I have CT scan and waiting from 1pm till 335 still have to wait another 2 patient infront, is ridiculous by doing the scan have to wait almost 3hrs, I think almost the patient sitting here waiting time almost 2hrs, The nurse when I approach without name tag is not friendly the way she say to me *like must wait if u want do CT scan* she don't sympathy the patient do not take any food and keep waiting afraid of miss turn, If this day is busy should not arrange the patient all come in tis day., if happen have emergency case also need to inform the patient the waiting time will be long so we can decided to re l-arrange or go take food not just sitting here with empty stomach.. Disappointed..

Waiting time is ridiculous. On top of that, they made multiple administration mistake. Arrange wrong appt which made me and my 70 year old dad (had some difficulty walking and recovered from a minor stroke), went to the hospital for nothing. I flared up, wasted my annual leave to bring him there and squeeze in the MRT during rush hour all for nothing. On the day my dad discharge, they told me the wrong pharmacy to go which is all the way at another block, my mum was with and she had bad knees so she made a wasted trip because of their mistake. The medisave form should have been able to fill while we were waiting for my dad to discharge but no no no, they chose to snail mail it to our house, we fill in and snail mail it back. Hello, what era are we in? Today, doctor said since my dad new medicine have not bad reaction so will prescribe him 5 months supply. So only 1 type of medicine needed to be collect. After 1 hour plus wait, they gave us more than 1 type of medicine. I asked them then they say: oh sorry… I think there is some mistake. Hello again? Do you think pharmacy is a place to make mistake after you took 1 hour plus to look for the damn medicine? And their pharmacies sop really sucks. Always full of people and always need to wait for 1 hour at least. My mum went to NUH for surgery, we only waited for about 15-20 mins and we got our medicine. I had it, asked the doctor to transfer my dad to nuh.

Extremely long 3 to 4 hours wait even with an appointment, then what is the point of having a scheduled visit with the doctor? Doctors are also not very good at listening here and treat you as fast they can, one doctor can say one thing and another doctor can say another. Go to SGH instead.

I was send to your Hospital after an accident on 10 April to the emergency department. Some stitches on my head & a twisted Knee which prevent me to walk for atleast 2 weeks. After I discharged on the next day, I when back home. After checking my documents which they gave me, they gave me the Wrong MC days. Suppose to be 1 week & they printed 1 day. I called them up to help me to reprint and mail it back to me but they refused. They said I have to personally come down to collect it, tho I keep saying I'm not able to walk & staying at the west which is far away from the hospital. To add on the Heat, your staff name "Ray" or Rey" from the emergency side is the worst staff ever. Very Rude & Raised his voice. So shameful to see the hospital having such Rude staff.

Admitted to this hospital 2 times yet wrongly diagnosed. Resulted in me losing 1 major organ over the next 2-3 months while waiting for a simple ultrasound scan. A nurse finally spotted the issue during the scan but it was too late. When seeking responsibilities, nobody is responsible. Makes me really puke to see its ads with caring and loving hearts all over the hospital

22/Nov/2019 So poor/worst sevice. Really disappointed. There was an Appointment. But better reach there before 30mins as needed registration. Reached there and Registration was finished within 10~15mins. This point may be ok. The time passed..5mins..10mins..20mins but my number will not be on sign board. Patient came out from examination room. Hopefully next is my turn. 5mins.. 10mins.. 15mins passed, but no my number on singn board. 20mins passed, finally my turn. It means needed to wait for 40mins. But examination was finished for 5mins something. Needed to wait at outside. Around 10mins later staff told me to go other examination room. Wow, I thought just now Dr. see me again. And then again, again had to need to wait for 40mins. Really unbelievable~~!! Next step is payment. Need to wait again and no chair. There is no meaning of "Appointment". I found that like intern Dr. is here and he learnd from senior Dr. So they made me to wait so long hours at waiting room. Need to raise up young Dr. but something wrong at this hospital. You need to prepare your mind if need to go this hospital as here is like that. Hopefully no need to go like this kind of hospital anymore.

Doctors and nurses and unprofessional and apathetic. Misdiagnose and malpractice then lie and make up stories to cover their mistakes. If you care about your love ones DO NOT put them there especially elderly who are not able speak or defend themselves they'll be abused. Minimal care and treatment. Instead of getting better they'll get sicker and be required to stay there for a long long time.

Misdiagnosed by three doctors and got sent home with painkillers. My symptoms got worse and worse. Five weeks later I got sent home again saying: we cannot help you until your hernia bursts open. Did people not take an oath to help those in need? Very disappointing, caused a lot of unnecessary suffering. Total waste of time and money.

The doctors are very helpful and willing to treat what was wrong with me but one incident made me rate this hospital this way. I went to the A&E as I had a bad back ache and I overlooked at the doctors notes (Probably my past visit) and it stated that I had low IQ. I am very disappointed with what I was being said. I had no idea why I had to do an iq test when I was unwell. I wanted to go for my breast checkup and health screening but I canceled all of my appointments. I am now treated better at another hospital.

This is not exactly a review. It's more of experience sharing and tips for first timers visiting here. This is focus on Clinic 1B - ENT, which I was a patient there in 2nd half of year 2019. Procedures at the Clinic 1B for FIRST-TIMERS: 1) Scan NRIC at kiosk, collect registration number. 2) Wait for your number at counters 1 to 3 for registration. 3) After registration will be allocated Room Number and new queue no. 4) Waiting time (from your appointment time) varies from 5 mins to 1.5 hours as this is a procedure based clinic. 5) After doctor consultation, if got medication issued; wait for counter 4 / 5 for confirmation of medication. If given follow-up appointment; wait for counter 6 / 7 to arrange for you after that payment can be made here. For credit card payment have to use self payment kiosk near entrance. If you have not receive MC / Memo after payment, reminder to knock on consultation room and ask the assistant on duty. NON-FIRST-TIMERS will follow items 3, 4 and 5 above. *Pro-tips: a) all kiosk can scan NRIC / barcode of queue slip. b) Medication collection, you can scan NRIC / barcode of queue slip at the pharmacy entrance kiosk nearest the escalators this is to jump the walk-in queue at the registration counter further inside. ** Important **: All doctors in this Clinic 1B is on a rotating work basis, different doctor see you on your appointment date. If you found a professional, compassionate and kind doctor, please request at appointment counter to see him / her else you will see whoever is on duty for your appointment. This is the main reason I gave 2 stars review, no one ever told me this from the start. No point seeing different doctor every visit, they cannot follow your condition as they just read the entry from your previous visit on screen.

All the while the nurses and doctors were very friendly and helpful except the pharmacy area which until now still very unpleasant experience especially the waiting time. Was there on 1 Aug 2022 and waited for an hour for my medication yet i was the only patient there left behind This is very frustrating and its not the first time and when I approached the pharmacist the answer is “oh now they are preparing” Really spoil my day

One of the worst hospital ever encountered. Extremely rude service and lack of empathy towards elderly patients by medical staffs. I understand that the hospital is heavy shorthanded and busy, I would still appreciate some basic kindness and compassion towards their patients and especially elderlies. Long waiting hours for my elderly auntie to get to the ward and medical staffs refused or ignore my auntie who needs assistance to the toilet and her discomfort. My got to know about their unprofessional behaviour during his visit. He highlighted this issues to the counter staff but was treated rudely. Deeply upset with the level of service given by this hospital.

Have been sending my daughter, (MichelleGohSJ) to TTSH A&E on a weekly basis due to her “deteriorating mysterious health” conditions for the past two months. Ward 10C (Dr Wong) and 10D (Dr Ong and the beautiful motherly Indian female doctor and youthful pretty female doctors) junior and their guiding Senior doctors such as Kelvin, and the nurses who looked after Michelle were/are superb. No amount of THANK YOU from us is enough. Although we still can’t catch the 100% solution to her issue (it’s her body, nothing to do with the doctors or medicines), it’s the care, the concern, the empathy that makes all the difference. Please take note the care and concern are to all the patients there, not to a selected few. I witnessed it with my own eyes. The staff there from janitors, nurses and doctors of all races are terrific. Hope they get their recognition from the big bosses from MOH, and I hope Michelle can be cured. Please take note that it’s a busy hospital. Go to this ward for good looking male and female doctors!

My dad, a poor folk, passed away at Ward 83 on 22 October 2020. TTSH Counselling Department mailed me a Condolences card with 13 signatures mainly health care professional on 19 November. I also received a booklet "The Journey Ahead - Practical Bereavement Tips". This is a super Kampung spirit. On the other hand, the billing department treated my dad as a living patient and make billing error, subsequently delay refund until unknown date from Medisave. The hospital has excellent health care professional and lousy Account Executive as well.

first time visit totally AMAZED how slow the emergency pharmacy in B1 can be. My own experience today here is that average people spend AT LEAST 30minutes waiting the staff to just take out the prescribed medicine. First time i see such a slow movement in any pharmacist turnover time per patient. Just WOW! I am so sympathetic to many of the elderly whom have been waiting long before i came and still waiting for super long before they can finally reach their turn (Note that it was not even super peak crowded hour, it was less than 20 person in the room and yet the movement is surprizingly slow) with limited seats for the elderly. VERY DISSAPOINTED! In fact, by layman pharmacy should be a very straight forward operation (just follow what's prescribed and take out the medicine from store and pass to patient, WHY SHOULD IT TOOK FOREVER ? Is there something in the process flow that need a serious review to improve efficiency ? Is there lack of manpower issue ?

Our helper went there for a broken foot, she had to wait for 3 hours. We could not stay with her at the end and went she went back, they put her foot into a flexible cast boots due to the swollen. But instead of asking her to come back within 2 weeks once the swollen is left,as a normal procedure, they just asked her to come back within 5 weeks. And of course, since it was not properly stable, the healing didn't happen! Worst is they have told her she needed an operation now but didn't provide any report, any cost idea, put her into a cast and ask her to come back one week later with the employer (us) for the decision! When my wife called and asked for more information, they simply replied 'we gave all the information to your helper already'. Then when we asked them to send at least the report or an email they said they couldn't do this without any explanation! We don't even know the name of the doctor! She got an X-ray and they didn't give her the printed document!! And the only thing they could just say is 'come next week', charged of coulse 100 boxes for an unknown doctor that will simply tell us orally what they have already told her. This is just a shame, a pure shame, limit a scam. I am thinking in contacting MOH.

I'm not sure if it's because of the recent tense covid-19 situation that has TTS hospital providing not so good customer service by its counter staff to patients. My mum had went on several occasions for her medical checkup with a specialist and each time, she felt treated badly by the counter nurse.

Very poor efficient.Admission for emergency ballooning but take days still no schedule for surgery.Worse still every day ,every 2 hrs blood sugar test n bp test till morning.Affect the sleepness of patients. This tests should perform between 6-10am to let patients hv enough sleep. At 8pm there's announcements advice visitors to leave so patients can hv a good rest. But the actual persons affect the patients 's sleep is the every 2hrs test till morning. j.A disgrace to our so call first class medical system. Every thing follow protocol and know the problem but no changes.

The place can be accessed through a link bridge from level 3 of Square 2, which means there is only a short and sheltered walk from the MRT station. Upon arrival the building, I was a bit disoriented. I asked one lady in uniform about the clinic I was going. Although she did not know about the clinic, she helped me to locate the clinic and walked me there. I did not manage to get her name because I was in a rush. The self-registration and queue reminding system are super useful. The doctors I saw and admin staffs are friendly and professional too. The whole experience was superb. Once again I am impressed by the convenience and efficiency of Singapore as a whole, and I am very touched by the kindness I received in this hospital.

I understand that this is a government hospital, and I do have experience seeking medical care in other countries. However, my recent experience at TTSH has been the most disappointing. I was admitted to TTSH for a minor surgery and made the upfront payment before intending to claim it through my insurance, just like I've done in the past. The insurance process usually involves providing several reports to support the claim, but to my surprise, I was informed that there's no longer a physical counter for requesting these reports. Instead, I was directed to request them online. This initiated a cycle of back-and-forth communication that took two months of frustrating and unproductive exchanges. Eventually, I was informed that the reports I had been requesting were simply unavailable!!!!!! For families who aren't financially well-off and rely on waiting for funds to manage expenses, this kind of delay poses a serious challenge to survival. The sluggish pace of this process seems to suggest that individuals should avoid seeking hospital care if they lack immediate funds. Moreover, my frustration escalated when I received an email with a contact number to address my concerns. After waiting for about 30 minutes on the phone, there was still no response. This level of service is deeply disappointing and raises questions about the quality of care provided.

I know my maid should not bring my mother down to sit on the chair by herself but the nurse JAIXIN don't need to shout at all. Just explain to my mother and maid will do. When I come in I saw everything and I tell her you don't need to shout and speak so loud. Than she just walk away, why this nurse JAIXIN is So RUDE!! Some of the nurse here are very nice but only she is soooo rude

Did my braces here almost 10 years ago at TTSH's Dental Clinic (6B) when I was in my late teens. Have been coming ever since to maintain my braces, and in recent years, just to do routine check-ups with polishing and scaling. Was on the way to one of these annual appointments at the end of 2019 and called ahead to apologize that I'd be no more than half an hour late, and I wouldn't mind waiting as long as it took to slip me in somewhere as I'd already made the day available. They said half and hour was too much and told me to book another day. About a month later in Jan of the new decade 2020, I'm half and hour early for my appointment, but I wait 1 hour, so it's half an hour after the appointment time to see a dentist that was different from the one scheduled to see me because that one was "running a bit late". Wow. Didn't help that this new dentist was the worst I'd gotten in my decade coming here; rough, unfriendly, smug. If that wasn't enough, I finally remembered to bring my retainers which hadn't been tightened in years to get tightened... no such luck. My dentist wouldn't even consider tightening the clasps on the retainer. I had to get another appointment because the clinic had only ONE dentist who could tighten clasps on a stupid retainer... and she wasn't in yet. And then I hear they had a hygiene lapse late last year in 2019 too? GEEZ. Didn't know I could be disappointed like this after a decade of coming here and making yearly appointments right after each visit. I didn't make one this time. About time I stop taking the other the options out there for granted, like the clinic does its patients.

Best hospital on earth!! Singapore doctors all follow strictly to its own protocol. Even if you are well, they must make sure you are really really "well" because very doctors there are very very "caring", they make sure you have perfect body before discharging you. Good job!

Thank you Tan Tock Seng NCID doctor Vincent Oei for helping me and my parents. Both my parents are Covid positive and transferred to TTSH NCID. Both my sister and me are under quarantined and subsequently Covid positive and isolated in a community care facility. Dr Oei kept me updated on my mother's progress, explained clearly on the updated discharge policy and he understood my difficulties. He helped me overcome the difficulties I have. His humorous way of explanation cheered me up as well. Thank you to all the TTSH NCID nurses who also helped me and answered my questions when I called to find out information from them. Thank you for taking care of my parents.

My mum was admitted to TTSH and due to covid19 , I couldn't visit her but was able to pass her belongings and stuff. I met a very compassionate and kind PIA (Mr Zainuddin) , who could sense my concern and urgency and helped me out real quick. Sensing my worry, he went an extra mile to console me and advise me further for 10 minutes. I went there with so many questions and doubts, as this is the first time I'm dealing with somthing like this but Mr Zainuddin was a saint. He shared his experience about his mum who had similar issues but worse and recovered. He is an extremely amazing asset to TTSH I went there worried but left feeling relieved. Thank you sir and may God bless you. TTSH needs to give him a raise.

Visitor management can be more humane. Rushed down to see a friend, queue up and complete registration. I was about to enter when I was stopped to allow a string of visitors to exit. Then, visiting hour was over. Nothing is wrong if this is process agreed upon. Just a feedback to reflect a process well adhered.

So much respect for the staff here who are friendly and professional. They were very understanding and quick to help. All the medication and service we needed was reasonably priced I came here while on vacation with my boyfriend who had trouble breathing after being sent on a wild goose chase by ambulance staff and a doctor’s clinic and a ridiculous private hospital where the doctor literally listened to his lungs and said “shit”, and we should talk to our finance people because this will be expensive. Charged us twice the entire cost of the government hospital visit (medication included) for sitting in an isolation room for 5 minutes to listen to a doctor talk like a salesman.

The absolute WORST hospital in all areas. Terrible nursing staff, poor cleaning and hygiene standards which are even more important in the midst of a pandemic, consistently overcharge patients and make it very difficult to obtain an itemised bill. Just avoid this hospital at all costs.

The doctors and nurses do their best to give us the care and treatment. We were admitted due to an accident but I was constantly hounded to get a pager, renew a pager and leave my loved one. Despite being the only registered visitor, we were not provided with enough space to be present with our loved one. I do not see the necessity of the pager system and how does it benefit patients and their families?

So far the journey with TTSH for my mum has both its ups and downs. My mum was suffering from severe headache, shortness of breath, facial numbness, L UL and LL numbness. Upon reaching the ED access point, there were no parking lots. I had to park at the ambulance Bay first to let my mum off first to seek medical attention. I was alone with my mum at that point in time. With her symptoms, she also had difficulty walking. Because time was of essence for patients with stroke symptoms, I left my car at the ambulance Bay first while settling my mother. Being anxious, I accompanied my mum into the ED fearing that she is unable to provide appropriate history as she was in severe pain and couldn’t really talk. One thing I really appreciated was the Indian receptionist was very quick in their registration process. When I had to get the pager to visit my mum, I felt grateful that she remembered me and still check in on me and my mum. Triage nurse was also fast on her feet. Unfortunately, being overly concerned for my mum, I was not able to park my car out of the ambulance lot. I do partially take responsible and understand why the security clamped my car. However, I felt there is a lack of sympathy and understanding on their part. Being uncertain of where to park my car was the least of my concerns at that point in time. The Security guard did suggest to park at the back of the ED which I didn’t know the route to, or even the basement carpark to bring my mum to the ED. However the long walk and being unfamiliar with TTSH especially the basement may do more harm than good to my mum who was already in such a bad state. In all, I felt that the security was the least empathetic and understanding. I do take responsibility for not parking appropriately as other ambulance patients require the ease of access to ED. However, I feel desperate times may call for desperate measures. The operations management could look into expanding the carpark spaces or clarity of route for ED access. This can help to reduce the anxiety of caretakers to find a suitable carpark while juggling patients in dire need of medical attention.

My sister August2023 admitted TTSH because of anti-depression. I request the doctor prescribe anti-depression medications but after dinner, I saw her quetiapine cut down to quarter I asked the nurse the doctor prescribed medicine for anti-depression. The nurse told me said yes given because I really worried she will had stroke because she kept shout day and night. I request doctor let my sis to go step down hospital. Doctor said no need to go and I brought my sis and discharged her home. At home still walking around the around 2days but doesn’t want talk to us. The third day start my sis don’t eat and drink and also want to bite her tongue to end her life. After few days I seen my sis very restless. Ambulance came and admitted again. During the second stayed she slept for 2days. A few doctors and nurses can’t wake her up and then my helper help to wake her up. I listened her talking was very blurred. Doctor send her for MRI and result out and was not confirm must do one more time MRI. Nobody update the second MRI result. I request them the neurosurgeon doctor came and told me that my sis having minor stroke. I asked will affected her walking. The doctor said no only the throat. Few days later the Rehab doctor came, I also asked the stroke will affected her walking. The doctor said no, I request to transferred to TTSH rehab. The doctor said TTSH rehab only accept fast learner. My sis considered slow learner so better go to AMKH for excersie there. I believed these two doctors. While waiting for AMKH bed. Some PT or OT told me, my sis need more time to do the exercise and some told me cannot do. Why the neurosurgeon and Rehab doctors gave e we me the wrong information. Transferred to TTSH Acute hospital. OT came and told me to go home and wait for AMKH bed . So my sis waiting for AMKH bed from the ward transferred to another ward those PT and OT only seen my sis 1 time. Until 14-11-23 then transferred to AMKH. Today 15-11-23 the PT told me TTSH written they had seen my sis many times. AMKH the PT told to me, now aim my sis to sit properly first. Because TTSH the two doctors gave me wrong information and I made the wrong decision for my sis from August staying until November. I felt very Sorry for my sister. If not my sis early already at home. Doctors don’t gave hope to patient and suddenly breaking their heart. I can accept my sister even she can’t walk. I had been a caregiver for 35years. Before my mom was bedridden 13 years. And some nurses also said during Admition, those patient got helper must helped served and do everything for Ahma . Last year my June 2022 my sis actually because her white blood was too high and went to TTSH emergency and the nurse check my sis had Covid 19 and put her in the infections centre for 2days only. Then ward called said my sis was noisy. And I told them to ask the consultant doctor if she was everything ok & fit for discharged then was Ok for her to come home. One of the doctor called and told me everything normal fit for discharged. And the ambulance sent her home, we check her high BP and her sugar was high. After checking I called back the infection ward never answered my questions. Only said they forgotten to give me the insulin. And later the nurse after work, she will send to my house. I told the nurse we don’t know how to use insulin. I told them all the past years her sugar was under control the most reading is 7.I can’t accept admitted 2day at infection centre came back with high sugar reading and had kidney disease. Discharged report also can write wrongly. If feedback, the hospital reply they will reply miscommunication or because the patient was too old. TTSH can give discharged report like last time stated clearly. Very disappointed.

My mum was warded on Ward 13C for 3 nights because of a seizure. we had her maid stay with her so that she could help look after my mum. On the 2nd night one of the night staff scolded her for not changing her diaper and told her that she should not stay overnight if she does not want to help. My maid has been excellent at taking care of my mum so far so we are very upset that someone would scold her for not helping. Our maid said that she was waiting for the nurse to come so they change her together. When I voiced this out to her superior, the superior said that she believed her staff's version. On the day of her discharge, my brother was left to wait for over 2 hours in the room because of unclear instructions. My mum was warded at Ward 13B a few weeks earlier and the service was so much better there. It is a shame that the service level is not consistent in all the wards.

I'm glad that their care made my grandfather more comfortable during his stay, and also reassured my family that he was in great hands. Special thanks goes to Joelle who guided me before the operation to get ready and Justina who called me after the op to check on me and even left her mobile number. I just wonder where in this world we can find better healthcare than in Singapore. Bravo!!

Dad had to be warded, it was quite a long wait for a bed. Later, minor surgery was required. The surgeons and nurses were great.

Day surgery nurses were so lovely. Orto docs too. Thank you for taking care of me!

My brother was warded at Ward 12B. The duty staff nurse was extremely rude. As a senior staff, she was setting an example for the junior staff. Everywhere in TTSH, there are signboards reminding everyone that the staff must be treated with respect. But this respect must be mutual. TTSH should educate & remind her staff on this.

My dad rush me to the hospital because i had chest pain. Waiting time to see doc was fast. But waiting time for blood test awaits 2-3hrs! Long wait. We arrived at 5pm and only finish everything at 830pm. And my dad say the security uncle who sat at the door have no courtesy. Very rude. My dad wants to visit me inside A&E have to take the buzzer thing. Allowed 15 mins inside. And once the buzzer buzz , must wait 30 mins then can go in again. Why must make it so difficult? I know it's now covid times , but 15 mins to see love onces?

Like what people say, hospitals in Singapore wouldn’t worry about losing customers because they will always have steady revenue as people get sick. But one thing to highlight, they need to perform some audits on how their call centres and frontline staff handle inquiries and follow ups. Their nurses and call centre agents have the free reign to argue and also put you off the line, telling they will call back, but never did. THEY SOUNDED INTERRUPTED WHEN I CALL.

Went to this place to collect my medicine today since I was told by the pharmacist yesterday that I have to wait for at least 2 hours. Hence, I collected a Q number from her to collect today. Today, I went to the last counter as instructed by the pharmacist yesterday. I was served by this pharmacy assistant Fiona. I asked her politely how long I have to wait? She retorted rudely that every patient also like you waited for the next day to collect the medication! If you cannot wait go and get a queue number and collect from other counters! I was instead served by her colleague later! Indeed, there are only 2 patients in front of me. When I saw her serving the senior lady in front of me, she was speaking condescending to her as she was speaking mandarin!!! My conclusion is that this pharmacist assistant has attitude problems and doesn’t like her job at all!

Went to the A&E on a friday night 9pm, not too crowded and they try to clear the patient as fast as they can, I only waited 20 minute before the doctor see me and within 5 min of consultation, I was pushed on a bed into the Trauma room. Inside was a flurry of activities and I finished my X-ray and Radio (portable version) within 2 hours, napping on the off. The doctor came to consult by 2am and everything was done including blood test. Of course later in the night, new emergency patient such as drunks and accident came in on weekends night, but by 5am the emergency case are all cleared. Efficient!! The nurse are friendly despite being busy, doctors are empathetic, hospital is central, the current charges is S$140 per case, which is almost industry standard here.

I’ve got to say my experience at TTSH from the A&E to the ward, operating theatre was fantastic. The A&E holding ward after I was admitted on 8 June was busy but the nurses really did their best to entertain requests or help despite how hectic things are. Kudos to them as I know the A&E department is always the busiest. After being placed in ward 13B almost 24 hours later (understand everywhere in SG there’s a bed crunch issue) the nurses also exercised a lot of empathy and care. When I was sent to the operating ward as well and to the HD ward 3A after too. I felt assured, comforted and well taken care of. The surgery team also did a good job clearly explaining the procedures to me and patiently answering my questions. Even during the procedure they were assuring and empathetic. However, there’s room for improvements. As initially they thought I needed urgent surgery upon admission and was ordered not to be given given food and be placed on a drip so I can be ready to be operated on. We had to keep asking when is the surgery as for slightly more than 24 hours I was not given food and only on a drip. Only when we asked then they told us the surgery was pushed to another day to make room for urgent cases which is understandable but they should have taken initiative to tell the ward nurses that I can be given food to eat at that point. Rather than we keep asking. Hence this part of the communication can be better improved. Otherwise, I had an overall well cared for experience during my 1 week stay despite the initial communication hiccup in the first 1-2 days.

Appointment time 10.40am. Only managed to see the doctor at 12.20pm. Patient is a 96 year old with slight dementia. During the wait, tried asking the nurse about how long or how many more patients before us. Thier face was like "back off" and the standard reply was, there is so many patients waiting also. Will call your number when its your tturn. Saw the Stop Abuse posted around and I want to ask, who is the abusive one now? Appointment obviously overbooked and we as Patient can't do much but wait....can't even sound our concerns or queries?

Went to A&E on a Sunday night with my spouse who was unwell. Entire visit plus wait time was from 9.15pm till 12am. It was an unexpected surprise as usually A&Es anywhere are known for the ridiculous waiting time. Upon arriving and registration, we were seen by triage nurse & subsequently the doctor within 20-30 mins. My husband was ordered to do a chest x-ray which was done almost immediately after doctor examined him. Mainly waiting time was for the blood test results. Want to thank the team of TTSH staff, nurses and also Dr Low who was on duty yesterday. He was thorough in his examination & also took time to discuss my husband’s case with another colleague just to be extra sure. Am impressed by the efficiency and professionalism of all the staff who made the visit a smooth one.

The appts kept changing, especially confusing when patient has many appts to manage or needs family members to take leave to accompany, and sometimes only informed when patient was already on the way. Its been like that since last year when they supposedly migrated to a new appt system. Till today, appts still couldn't be fixed properly. I also agreed pharmacy is crazy, and clinics too. Hotline can wait forever, emails went mia, you can only pray the staff will call you back if she happens to see your email. Hospital has lots to improve on and you no need a genius to implement some simple solutions. Avoid if possible even if they have the best doctors

Stomach really bloated and painful. First time coming to A&E. Felt abit lost. But registered and gone through the whole process. Cost around $140. For blood test. Ultrasound. X-ray. Review. In and out within 3hours, thank you very much for solving our problem.

Sent to TTSH A&E due to acute injury and had my follow-up appointments tied to this hospital. Tried to contact hospital staff to reschedule my appointments TWICE for a more convenient option (Hospital X) instead but was told to schedule my own appointment and not given any assistance. Even after further obtaining a specialist's referral, the staff proceeds to tell me I am unable to hold a concurrent appointment at TTSH if I want to book another appointment at Hospital X. However, I was advised by doctor to attend the current appointment in view of recovery time frame. So again, there was no conclusion regarding the matter. So currently, I'm stuck with an ongoing appointment at TTSH that is a 30 minutes drive away, and an hour's journey by public transport, when I have a community hospital that is 15mins by driving and 20mins by public transport, all because of the red tape that doesn't allow me to shift my appointment Is there really a need to open the numerous heartland community hospitals if the system itself makes it so difficult to transfer cases? A few days ago, I attended a follow-up at the hospital only to take an ultrasound and given instructions to collect medicine... Just to add on that I had to wait a full 2 hours to collect medication as well. so that's a total of 5 hours spent just trying to take an ultrasound and collect medication. good grief. Would have given a 1 Star review but other staff at the hospital really deserve a compliment and are so good at what they do. Thank you for your hard work!

Business office staff name of Rachel don't know what she is saying when I was there on 1st Nov, after my discharged on 15th Oct at NICD for covid, they didn't do a proper job for my insurance & medisave claim as I already told the nurses to e file it, but i don't blame the nurses as they are very nice & this is the job scope business office should be doing it, this female middle age staff(Rachel) blaming me that only elderly need help to submit form. Like as if we youngster will know the procedure of filling up the medisave form! Forgoodness sakes! Pls be more professional especially when you are doing customer service in a gov sector hospital. Plenty of us, the youngster, wouldn't know how to fill in the medisave form as we don't work in healthcare or I can said this particular department. Last but not least, you deducted wrongly for me by using my medisave instead of my dad medisave. Poor customer services!!!

my father was bed bound and he stayed here for 6months, they did many different tests on him and gave medicines without informing any of the family members, he was also not well taken care of and developed severe bed sores and infections and even then did not inform any of the family members. their sub acute ward at renci has also not taken good care of him and left him unattended for a very long time, causing his diaper to leak and get everywhere. the medicine was also left opened with no cover for a very long time before being fed to him and also placed him in very uncomfortable positions

👍👍 One of the better hospitals to visit. Modernised look and not too crowded. Don't be fooled by the negative comments.
