Simply phenomenal. The service was good, but the food was simply sublime. I cannot put into words how good it was other than pure ecstasy. The salad was the perfect blend of mozzarella, tomato, salad, and olive oil that formed a union of flavors for a salad unlike no other. The salad was one of the simplest but best I've had in a while. Now the main course was just beyond what I expected. The perfect blend of soft pasta layers, sticky and savory meats coupled with crimson scrumptious red sauce and topped with fantastic melted cheese bring you straight to flavor town. The tastes, textures, and smells all combine to make the best Italian food I have ever eaten and the best dining experience in a few years. 10/10 would recommend to anyone wanting Italian. And for their low price tag, it's criminal how underrated the restaurant is. Delicious!

Small, relaxed spot that we visited while on a walking food tour in Chicago. While I didn't adore my roast beef sandwich, I appreciated the quality of the meat and bread. Gelato looked super tasty as well.

I've made up my mind ill never try any other pizza spots in chicago for as long as I live here, after what I had tonight. Margerhita then I got a personal cheese pizza to go. $20 for the 14" you literally can't beat that price. I know where I'm having my lunch tomorrow too! This is a hidden gem. My daughter loved the garlic bread. Everything was good. After my pregnancy I am definitely trying their wine & Gelato!

Before I get into the review, this place is located inside the River Plaza at 405 N. Wabash. Turn at the River Plaza sign off N. Wabash and follow the sidewalk into the River Plaza building. Stopped by during lunch while visiting Chicago. I've had all the usual deep-dish pizzas and other well-known pizza places in Chicago, so wanted to try someplace different. It was lunchtime during the week, but it was not too crowded. There's about 10 tables both inside and outside, but it was a rainy day so opted for the inside. They don't sell individual slices, but the small 10" pizza is only 4 reasonable slices. Service was very fast and friendly. Ordered the 10" Capricciosa pizza which took about 10-15 minutes to arrive. Pizza was straight out the oven and looked great. Crust was a good thickness, crispy, just the right amount of sauce, and there was a generous amount of ingredients. They also have desserts such as gelato, tiramisu, cannolis, and cookies. I was too full for anything big, so just ordered 2 cookies after another customer recommended them. It was a good recommendation. Nice hidden gem for good pizza. Good food and service.

One of a kind hidden gem right in the heart of the city! the service here is absolutely fantastic. Our food was prepared with genuine love you could tell by the way it tasted and how it was presented. The Caprese salad was so good. My son said the Italian beef was the best Italian beef sandwich he’s ever had this will be on our top list every time we go into the city.

Our first taste of Chicago - and delicious. Small place with big heart. Not pretentious but offering delicious food. Recommend white pizza with mushrooms and daily special salmon in zucchini. Cold 312 wheat ale goes well with a meal.

This place was in very close walking distance from our hotel. Food was very good and generously portioned. The arugula salad was perfectly dressed and was covered with lots of cheese. Pizza was great - lots of mushrooms and prosciutto on top of a nicely charred crust. Don’t skip the gelato. They are one of a handful places serving Ichnusa beer. Ichnusa is imported from Sardinia and pairs well with the pizza.

I have given this place 5 stars time after time. They become our ( Me & my husband) all time favorite pizza in Chicago. But today I'm not sure what happened. The pizza didn't taste like we expected. It really wasn't good. I really want to give them the benefit of doubt. But today pizza was bad. Figure out what it is please. Your not right across the street. We come to you for good pizza..the female I spoke with on the phone was not willing to compensate us for a $30 pizza that tastes spoiled. I don't care if nobody else complain but we did and like I said this was our favorite place until now. No compensation what do every for their bad pizza. I told her I'd leave a review and she didn't care. Just hung up the phone. We won't be back!

Service was great and the food was fantastic!! We had garlic bread with cheese and a pepperoni pizza, both were delicious! We were so full but had to try their gelato and it did not disappoint. It was a tasty treat to finish off the meal. Highly recommend sitting on their patio to enjoy a beautiful evening

Family owned. Great thin crust pizza. The best in town. Located by the Trump hotel. Outdoor seating available. Rolled Eggplant appetizer is so good! Chicken Parm sandwich was just okay. The Caprese Salad is my favorite. Light and refreshing. Reasonably priced. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a quick , casual bite to eat in Chicago.

We had a craving for some Neopolitan pizza and found this place which was walking distance from our daughter’s apartment so we tried it. The first thing I noticed was the people who run this restaurant are very friendly and welcoming. There were three of us, we arrived around 7:30pm and the place was packed. There were a lot of people waiting for a table. I added my name to the waiting list and there were 5 parties before us. This is a small restaurant with around 12 tables. We got our table around 8:00pm and ordered the Saporita salad and some peroni’s to start. The salad was delicious. We ordered a Rustica pizza and a Calabrese pizza and the guy waiting on us said that two smaller pizzas would be enough but we ordered the larger size. He was correct, we finished the Rustica but could only eat half of the Calabrese, so we took the rest home. All of us really liked the Rustica and the Calabrese was good but was really salty so when we go back again, we will not order a Calabrese. We also ordered a tiramisu to go.

Fabulous family owned Italian restaurant! Small intimate setting with huge flavor! Pizza is outstanding, sandwiches on fresh italian breads direct from Italy. Priced extremely well for a downtown Chicago restaurant! We will absolutely be back.

Great food, great service, and atmosphere were very nice. They were so busy that some guests had to be turned away. We ordered the 1/2 sausage pizza and half Stella that comes with arugula. Magnificent! Our waiter was great!

Cozy place to eat original italian food and the service is great! Pasta had way to much sauce in it but the taste was good!

Very solid italian meals. Tiramisu and Capuccino were very good. Service was really nice and attentive. Waiting time was short. Can recommend.

A great genuine Italian place with delicious pizza and warm Italian hospitality. It seems to be a local “hole in the wall” kinda place that tourists will sadly not find. Highly recommended😋 Location: River Plaza (above street level)

We stopped in for dinner after reading others’ reviews. At 5:30 on a Wednesday it was empty. Odd, but we took a chance. SO GLAD WE DID. Staff was welcoming and the food was so delicious and insanely well priced! My boyfriend said his lasagna was the best he’s ever had. I tried a special (grilled zucchini and salmon) and the food was as good as the presentation. Next door was packed and we almost laughed thinking “y’all are missing out!!!” Don’t try to find it via GPS. Just head between Trump tower and the Wrigley Building (first floor under Athletico). Don’t miss this hidden gem!

Service was good. We got our food faster than you do at a Mexican restaurant. A half order of spaghetti was huge. A whole order would probably fill up a family of 4.

The perfect local Italian joint. I was visiting Chicago for the day and my friend recommended I check this place out. Everyone was incredibly friendly! Service was super fast! Pizza came out piping hot! Overall, it was a great experience! I’d recommend checking them out!

Got the Silvio E Gabriele pizza. The arugula and prosciutto are pop'n. The pizza crush is nice and thin and crunchy. 💯 better than the lasagna that is marketed as Deep Dish. Will be back to try more.

Absolutely delicious would recommend us to any pizza lover it’s not your typical Chicago deep dish. It’s more of an Italian style in New York style crossover. Owners were super friendly, came over to our table to share their experiences.

Owned & Operated by sisters Dee & Liz, this Italian Lunch & Dinner spot is an absolute staple for any Downtown Chicago regulars. Superb Pizza, Excellent sandwiches, and there is PLENTY more to look forward to every time you walk in those doors. Rustica Pizza & Chicken Parm sandwich are my favorites. Next on the list to try Stuffed Gnocchi, THE LASAGNA on a rainy day is what Dee suggested, and their Vodka Sauce. You have to go into this place and enjoy one of the best seats for Lunch or Dinner in the city! Gelato Counter, Espresso & Cookies... Dee & Liz will not disappoint! The entire staff is great, they are kind and hospitable. We cannot wait for their Patio to open this summer! Thanks for all you do Dee, Liz & Team!
