We visited the restaurant yesterday the 8 th of september and we were not happy at all with the food or the drinks. The drinks was almost like a 12 year old boy made them... Out of 9 drinks i believe maybe 1 or 2 were drinkable. Then we ordered a 6 course- meny and lets just say that we where not happy at all. It was not discusting, but neither was it good, considering the price it was terrible since we paid like 110 euros per person. The restaurant has been mentioned in Michellin which was one of the reasons we visited, i dont know if that person from Michellin was already drunk when he or she visited the restaurant, but how they could write something absolut this restaurant remains a big questions to all of us.

I am not a food critic but I am a well travelled person living in London who eats out more frequently than cooks himself. It's not unusual for me to me to pay a couple of hundreds for a dinner so I have solid background for comparison. Quick summary - don't go, overpriced food with mediocre service. But google wants tree marks, so be it. 1. Food. Bread and soup was actually ok. Selection of fish was quite good, lobster managed to survive till dark. But, after long wait I could not feel taste of the fish (95eur per kilo) because grilled vegetables I ordered as a side, arrived a bit earlier than the rest of my main, was so bitter (most likely because of oil used) so I can still fill bitter taste in my mouth even after an hour and having a couple of sweet drinks. Also, "a little bit of everything" that came with 33eur tag was quite a disappointment. In my humble opinion, even for half the money I would still say it's overpriced. 2. Service. My partner had her glass of wine and for the rest of the dinner enjoyed the view of an empty glass in front of her. Nobody asked if it was any good or she wants more. I had a pleasure myself to sit in front of empty soup plate for at least half an hour. It was three of us, and we wanted to share starters, but was only given only two empty plates. Although I can come up with a rational explanation it felt super wired. 3. Atmosphere. I grew up in USSR and the interior brought my childhood memories to life. It probably was fashionable in 1985. Toilet ... I have seen better ones at train stations in rural areas in developing countries.

The food and the place were great. However, we felt really uncomfortable with a lady that is offering roses when you are already at your table, we thought that it was part of the experience, but no, you have to pay for them. It was a good place but we have had much better experiences in Croatia in restaurants that are not even in the Michelin guide.

5 stars for the service, 4 stars for the food. I chose the authentic tasting menu, apart from the first sashimi course and the last steak course, the rest were pretty average. If you want to try this restaurant, maybe order something else.

Almost everything that day was wrong: our grilled octopus had a 'kerosene' flavor that was so strong it remained lingering on the forks we used. We complained about it and were not charged for the dish, but kept on wondering how such a mistake was even possible. Did someone use fire accelerant while cooking? Next, we were told the chef screwed up one of our orders (a pasta dish), and they were going to make it again, which took additional 20 minutes. While waiting, we were given a free serving of fritule, which is a desert (?!). When pasta finally arrived, it was seriously overcooked. The rice in their St. Stephen's Risotto was uncooked inside, and falling apart on the outside; the dish itself was bland. The grilled fish & shrimp sauce didn't have much flavor either. The only dish we liked was the octopus salad. Split needs some good restaurants, and I hope this was just a glitch. A too big one for us to return anytime soon. (visited on 2019/12/20)

Very promising start and 3 disappointed customers. It has been our last night of our unforgettable stay in Croatia , so quite understandably we wanted to finish our trip with something special. Having read all fantastic reviews and with the expectation to have a “Michelin Guide 2023” type of experience, we headed to the Zrno Soli. The hostess was nice, accommodated our ad-hoc request to be seated and straight away brought a nice glass of white wine. And that was pretty much it. Ordered starter went out of stock , my partner’s simple choice of drink ( non-alcoholic beer) was not available, main dish arrived with more than one hour delay, during this hour we were completely ignored by the personnel. For that price tag and positioning as “fine dining” one could expect top notch service ( look at TRS restaurant in Trogir to compare). Medium done steak arrived after an hour as rare, which was later corrected, but unfortunately, my son lost his appetite by that moment. Fish was ok, but the veggies on the side were bitter, honestly, someone could just have tried them, perhaps, before sending out of the kitchen? Conclusion , the bread , fish soup and zero coke were fine, the rest was appalling, including the customer service.

Meal was incredible. Every dish amazing. Some super annoying disrespectful yacht owners harassing the waiter ruined the lunch for us. Waiter was incredible and managed professionally.

Amazing fish restaurant in Split. Great food, wines and service :)

Amazing views, knowledgeable staff and delish meals. My wife, son (15 month old) and I had a great meal here. The team was professional, friendly and offered great recommendations for parings. We all really enjoyed the seabass! The cannolis and the chocolate cake were both very good!

Food was fatastic. But stay Carrefour about end price. Was 3 time more than I was expecting, but all with smile

Mixed experience. Tried the 4 course tasting menu. The first two courses were great but the main was a disappointment, fish & seafood was fresh and nice lime on all courses but the other parts on the plate were just tasteless and strange.

Really enjoyed. Had grilled John Dory, freshly sourced that day, with a potato/Swiss chard side (which needed some extra oil and seasoning tbf, but both were provided on the table) and some grilled veg which were excellent. Starters of steak tartare and fish ceviche were both unusually prepared - the latter wrapped around some julienned apple and assorted leafage, the former with a large amount of grated home made butter and a tomato relish of some kind - but very good, enjoyable to eat and a bit different. And perhaps most of all the service was really as good as you could ask for. Friendly, attentive without being overbearing, helpful suggestions and just the right amount of good chat before leaving you to enjoy your night. Would recommend.

Gastronomical euphoria! Definitely one of the best restaurants in Split I won't hesitate paying another visit! Placed in AC Marina building, right at the seashore it has an amazing view of Split, the harbour, the nearby islands floating above the calm Adriatic Sea all under the dim light of the moon - a romantic atmosphere indeed. Relaxing also, away from the crowded, noisy center. The service was impeccable, with a very assertive and friendly waiter. The food was extraordinary, leveled up to art form I'd say, stimulating all the senses with a harmony of tastes, smells and visually pleasant plates. A place not to be missed if you're in Split!

This is my favourite place in Split region. Several years Zrno Soli is on my map and it will stay I am sure for years to come. If you are in Split and if you like great fish then for sure you must visit Zrno Soli!

Restaurant didnt meet our expectations, prices are not equal to quality and taste. Service was good, but not excellent. My boyfriend was very dissapointed. It is a pitty

Firstly I really wonder how it got onto the michelin list. We had booked in advance for a group of diners and was anticipating this to be our highlight for culinarily experience in our Croatia trip and holiday. However, any street Konoba would provide a better meal and experience and at a fraction of the cost ! Whilst the starter was good and acceptable for such a highly reputed restaurant, sadly the rest of the dishes was not good at all, including there must try salt baked fish. The fish was destroyed via the waiter’s crude carving and the meat was over cooked and dry. Certain parts was completely salt free whilst certain parts was like biting into pure salt. In addition, the waiter got orders wrong, missed out on orders and billed us for non orders culminating in a negotiation process. The whole experience left our entire group deflated and disappointed. Wonder how Michelin grade them at all.

Food was good, but scorpion fish was a tad boring (very fresh, but not as delicious a fish as what the internet says... Kind of like a better tasting snapper). Otherwise enjoyed our three other dishes.

Great food! Good presentation. Average dessert. Service was good towards great. Somehow I would've expected a little from the service. The view it's pretty nice too.

Uses to be much better before. Their tasting menu oddly focuses mostly on meat instead of fish/seafood, the wine list is substandard with not so great choice of wines (but fairly typical for Croatia) and the waiters aren’t much knowledgable on the wines nor do they have a somelier. I guess that their main clientelle is from UK/Germany, which reflects on the menu, but for a seafood dinner I would choose some other place.

Beautiful view. The raw fish entree was all right. The risotto and pasta (spaghetti) very very good. The fish in salt crust well done.

Researched dinners as we love to try new spots while away. So this was tonight’s pick. . Menu outstanding! Marijo and rest of crew was outstanding!! Location outstanding!!! Food beyond outstanding!! We had the amuse bouche - delicious Salad, beef tartar, pate, fish, duck and dessert….. what an amazing dining experience….. to us worth a Michelin star … everyone should try this spot.

Ate there late February 2023. It was very low season, and their were few other diners. We were interested in trying two different main courses, so we said we would share them. Both were excellent, and the chef and waiter worked to deliver two half-portions separately plated. An excellent restaurant which I highly recommend.

Overall, this was a good experience. The service was excellent, ambiance was great, and food was creative. We did the tasting menu with wine pairing. The main reason why this is not a 5 star review is because it wasn’t “mind blowing” for the price and how it is advertised. It was a good meal and an overall enjoyable experience but it wasn’t a meal I will remember forever.

Nice personnel but really slow cooking service and the taste was not impressive at all, very disappointed; dont go there if would like to enjoy good food in Split.

This is the best sea food restaurant in split. It is not so fancy as ZOI but the quality of the food is perfect as well. We tried a la carte (surprise menu) which was tasty and had many flavors. A lot of people took fish and it seemed just great. Next time I will try fish.

Wonderful place with an incredible view of both marina and the old town of Split. The food was amazing and the service was impeccable. The waiter was very helpful and had a very good taste in wine.

Staff was very nice, welcoming and attentive. The interior feels a bit outdated. Unfortunately food quality wasn’t what we expected since prices are pretty high. Wouldn’t recommend meat at all - Wagyu 250g is over 100€ without any quality grade given. Stick to fish and seafood or better spend your money somewhere else.

First of all thank you for fitting us in with no reservation, to say we are grateful is an understatement! The service from entering until leaving was amazing! The team of waiters wouldn’t let us do anything ourself, no task was to large Even upon leaving through the door, one of our waiters rushed out to bid us a good evening! Our wine was topped up even if the waiter saw you goto poor it ourself Next was the appetisers, simply exquisite! We highly recommend the surf & turf!!

Beautiful location quiet and relaxing. Would be nice for a special occasion. We had a birthday. Good for group of friends or romantic date. Staff amazing and very helpful from booking online and at the restaurant and food is so good

Had the tasting coursed dinner with paired wines. We had a blast - enjoyed great local food, amazing Croatian wines and apperatifs and enjoyed the service. Will be back some day in the summer💕

View is spectacular. Service was very good. Tasting menu was not worth the price. Soup was cold and a couple of other dishes missed the mark. But the black bulgur was delicious, as was the final roasted fish dish. Save your money on this one.

Fish was fresh but service was slow and definitely not worth the price. Not only that, but some lady comes around with roses during dinner like they’re handing them out but then wants you to buy it. It’s like being scammed before you even eat dinner. We did the surprise tasting menu and weren’t happy to pay the price after all was said and done. Have had much better service and food during our 10 days trip to Croatia. Don’t recommend, you’ll be better off somewhere else for the price
