Best place to stay in Srinagar. The experience,  the hospitality and the food were truly memorable.  Special thanks to Mr.Siraj bhai, who had planned the entire trip for us perfectly and made sure we had a comfortable trip in and around Srinagar. Would definitely visit this place again and would recommend it my friends and family.....

The houseboat Sweet Star is nice place to stay. The rooms are beautiful, spacious and hygienic. Siraj ji and their entire family play a wonderful host. They take good care of the guests. The food served is homemade and tasty. It feels like home in midst of nature at houseboat Sweet Star.

We had a memorable experience. The Boat was great and the team provided very courteous service. The food was extremely tasty. Beautiful views!! I recommend this for family and friends.

Stayed from 17th to 23rd of May 2023. Had a wonderful experience. The entire family takes good care of their guests and serves home cooked meals cooked by the Owners family. The rooms were quite spacious, neat and clean. Toilets/bathroom were clean and well maintained. During the entire stay the family took good care of us like their own family members. They had planned the entire trip for us including the pick-up/drop from and to the airport, Stay, Food and also travel and sight seeing. They had also arranged for my tickets for the Gondola ride in Gulmarg. Also they charged us very nominal for the entire trip. Stayed for 5 nights in the house boat and one night at a hotel in Pahalgam which was again arranged by the Siraj Bhai the owner of the House Boat.

We stayed for two nights @ Houseboat Sweet Star. The place is very well maintained. Neat and clean rooms. The staffs are very helpful and attended to all our needs with a smiling face. Food was very tasty. Overall had a very pleasant and comfortable stay.

The service was very good, the hospitality was very nice and the food is also lovely. Had a good experience with the staff. Rooms are also nice and cosy. I would recommend family as well as couples to choose this.

Sweet Star House Boat is the best intertainment place. Best experience, best service, cooperative staff, tasty and delicious food, hot water, everything is excellent. Thanks a lot.

Stayed during Oct 3rd- Oct 4th. One of the best places to stay in Srinagar. Mr. Sharif and his family took complete care and the food was amazing. Thank you Sharif Ji for the wonderful hospitality 😊

We had a wonderful stay at Houseboat Sweet Star on 20-21 July 2022. Hospitality of Sirajuddin and family was excellent. Wishing them all the best. Would recommend a stay in HSS to our friends n relatives going to Srinagar.

Not a recommendable house boat stay .We booked Sweet star through Goibibo when we reached for check-in we were offered House boat Kareema palace .Owner of Sweet star informed that sweet star is under maintenance and this kareema palace is part of their five group house boats. We argued but as we don't have any option so we opted to stay in offered house boat. We were surprised when we watched people using Sweet star for stay which is under maintenance and we concluded that owner of the boat lied to us as there was no room available on sweet star. We found during our stay that most of the service provider of hotels and house boat owners don't keep their words . They switch as per needs. As our breakfast was inclusive with the house boat stay we tried the same next day morning and found that it was just bread /butter and omelet . These two stars are only for kareema palace house boat room which was spacious. Overall not a recommendable house boat for stay.

We stay for only 1 day in this house boat. Room was very clean and stay was amazing. Sofia and family took very good care of everything. Food was nice.

Very warm people welcoming in their home which is a piece of art floating on Jhelum river. Would definitely recommend this place!

If you love the quiet place then it’s a perfect one for you. The food will be homemade so no questions to ask.

We stayed 3 nights at the Sweet Star and had a wonderful stay at this lovely houseboat. The location is a bit far from the main areas but everything you need is easy to reach. The houseboat has a nice atmosphere, clean and cosy rooms and the homemade food was very tasty. The hospitality of this kind family is great. Thanks a lot.

Booked houseboat sweet star for one night. Before going to Srinagar we repeatedly confirmed our booking with them. When we reached the place, they told us the owner has five boat on river Jhelum including sweet star. Because sweet star is full. He want us to stay in Houseboat Karima. Above rating is given according to karima, not for sweet star. These people do double talking very much. They said there is no customer in Sweet star, as it is in maintenance. But while having our evening walk on the Karima boat deck. We noticed other tourist coming to sweet star. In Srinagar, Gulmarg, sonmarg and Pehalgham. Lying and smooth talking is so much prevalent. You need to shield yourself from that. They charge you so much but in return they gave you very low service. The breakfast they provided to us just egg bread and kahwa. Price for one night stay with breakfast was 3000. Washroom was not clean specially pot. Pathetic service, rude people and non recommendable. ( original review) Counter reply to owner's remark- Mr Arif this is the reply to your counter comment on my review. We called repeatedly before coming to confirm our booking. Ambiguity was shown from your side. If on call you would have informed us that there has been construction going on houseboat Sweetstar. We would have tried to find other arrangements or cancelled the staying at any houseboat altogether. Room was spacious, but toilet pot and bathtub was very unclean. We shared this concern with your father. I would like to invite you to Delhi because we don't give omelette bread for Rupees 3000 for room plus breakfast. If we have gotten the service we hoped from you guys. I would have gladly written a positive comments. Thank you very much for your oh so service.
