I have booked a lake view room, however I was given a room in the 5th floor with a lower height than the trees across the street, blocking our lake view. This wouldn't be an issue if I was paying for the partial view rate, however my booking was for the full view. When I complained, I was told the hotel was fully booked and they were unable to move me to a higher floor. I asked for a rate adjustment and was told this was not possible as I was getting exactly what I was paying for (!!!!). I then asked to speak to the manager, was directed to someone and moments later the same person directed me to another employee, saying "she is the manager today". The real person in charge was behind doors, and couldn’t care less. I have seen many of the staff consulting themselves with people that room (including the so called manager of the day), but whoever was in there was not willing to speak to us directly. This is an absolute disrespectful posture and I will never return to this place nor recommend it positively to anyone. This was by far the worst and most arrogant posture I have seen.

I stayed here from 11/06-12/06 I was a ritz/Carlton member that is now a Marriott member because Marriott bought Ritz/Carlton and it’s a pity they did not buy their standards. I was shocked at being asked to pay for breakfast after complaining about the disrespectful behaviour of the person delivering the food. I even had to ask for the tip I had given to be removed before the vulgar behaviour of the staff member. First the staff member refused to return with two breakfast meals even though that’s what I ordered. He cheekily asked me to make do with one meal while he went to get the other one as if my girlfriend could wait and did not matter. Then without being addresses by her he fist bumped her while she was in bed in her dressing gown in a flirtatious manner designed to emasculate me. I mean rhetorically, why didn’t he just ask for her phone number? It is not even imaginable that this could happen from a basically trained hotel staff member. Disgusting behaviour falling far short of any reasonable level of service in Macdonalds let alone a one star hotel. To add insult to injury I was still charged for the breakfast. Additionally nobody helped with our bags even though we asked. I feel singled out for poor treatment as this treatment seems to me bizarre and unimaginable. I would never return to a Marriott owned hotel again.

Rooms are below standard given the price, especially the bathroom is just poor. Got a tiny room despite being Titanium. Gym without windows, both treadmills broken. Pool is nice, but also without windows. Breakfast is very nice. Would go again for business, but certainly not for leisure. All in all disappointing.

Very nice rooms. They were much larger than expected, with very enjoyable showers, soft beds and warm comforters. Service in the hotel was very nice and accomdating. Location was a fun neighborhood and walking distance to many other enjoyable neighborhoods.

Check-in was not smooth. We arrived 3:30 pm and waited 45 minutes in the lobby doing nothing. After getting the room, we found there is no extra bed we paid (50 euro per day).

Hotel on the lakeside with stunning view! The room we stay offers decent size over 40 square meters and decorated in contemporary style, posh and modern. Breakfast in the awards winning Heritage restaurant, what a wonderful view of entire outer Alster lake with fine-dining experience. It has 24-hours gym and SPA facility with in-door pool. If you come with car, there is also valet parking available with very friendly staff. Only warning is it is bit difficult to find right road entrance using your car navigation, and more difficult to make u-turns in the area.

My wife and I stayed 2 nights here visiting Hamburg and its sights. We are both vegan and the hotel staff went above and beyond for breakfast. The friendly man welcoming people for breakfast went shopping to get us more vegan friendly foods for our second breakfast. Thank you! - The Room was great and spacious with a very comfortable bed. We definitely recommend staying here - overall great experience 👌🏼

By far the best Marriott in Hamburg. It’s on the nice part of town and directly on the water. The service is impeccable and goes above and beyond. They are dog friendly. Provided dog treats, beds, and bowls for our little pup. Room service is delicious and not overly priced. My partner and I will stay here always when we visit from now on!

The view is awesome, the staff is so kind and helpful. They offer Tesla destination charger which was great for those of us with electric cars. The pool was calm and peaceful with great saunas, and the reception offered great services and always helpful. The room service was awesome as well with good tasting food. We will be back!

Air conditioning had some issues so even on a not so hot day it was very warm in the room. Rooms are a little dated but not bad. Despite gold status didn’t get a room with a view. Breakfast is pricey. Overall, I’d likely stay elsewhere.

Nice location, nice rooms. But service was very disappointing. Being a family of five travelling through different countries, we have put a lot of effort in complying to updated covid restrictions in each country. Germany requires negative antigen tests for age 12 and up. We arranged this for our children in Sweden on the day if travelling, but not for our 10 year old. It turns out the hotel has their own set of rules, age 8 and up needs negative tests. Please Le Meridien, travelling nowadays does not need more complications. One of our rooms was reserved for 3 people with an extra bed. The hotel told us we could stay 3 people in the room, but without an extra bed. This was because we had booked through Hotels.com, they told us. We showed them the confirmation w/extra bed, but they could not see this in their system they said. Worst Le Meridien experience so far.

Perfectly situated, close to the train station, next to the Alster with jogging opportunities. Nice pool, ok fitness room. Nice rooms, but bathroom doors are not ideal. Great breakfast room with stunning view and good food.

Excellent hotel. Pleasant helpful staff from check in to check out. Beautiful rooms, well maintained and some with views across the lake. Good value for money.

We stayed for a night for our first trip to Hamburg from Berlin and it just amazed us. First time we both left the hotel thinking, a night was not enough here. To our surprise, the room had an amazing view which made our stay excellent. Executive Room was spacious, bed and pillows were comfy. All amenities were running without any problems. I will find an excuse to go to Hamburg again so that I can stay here. Thank you all the staff, especially the lady in the reception.

We had a great trip to Hamburg, a fam. of four. Booked the Urban Suite, plenty of space, quiet surroundings, lighting was a bit sparse but besides that good. The sink was clogged in the toilet but they fixed that the same day, the faucet wasn’t too good, that didn’t get fixed. The reception is placed after the elevators so you don’t have a lot of interaction with the staff and receptionists. Good breakfast, they could up their bread to a better quality, but a good selection overall on everything else. One waiter stood out with a super human touch and friendliness. We used the pool and sauna, not super big, but nice after a long day of walking. And cool that we could charge our EV in the underground parking garage. Good stay.

Top-end hotel for our budget, but for a birthday, why not? Great location, great views (7th floor room), and a nice breakfast. On-site underground parking (€30/night (?)). All that you'd expect from a chain hotel of this quality

Over all nice experience but room view was not so good if you are not getting the lake side view. Room was overall fine and well equipped. Internet works well. Overall nice location and nice stay.

Nice hotel. Great “standard” room with high-quality finish. Friendly staff. Highlight was the breakfast, one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve ever had.

It's actually pretty nice, good size room. Opening windows, balcony. Excellent restaurant, good breakfast, only fault I can find is there is no door on the shower and the floor gets a bit wet. Would stay again

Top hotel in Hamburg. Make sure you get a room with view of the Alster lake; incredible and arguably the best in the city. The Heritage Restaurant and rooftop bar also offer great views. We stayed for a week and as of the second morning we were greeted by name when arriving for breakfast.. now that is guest service at its best. Don't take my word, stay yourself and experience the Le Meridien Hamburg. You will not be disappointed.

Great location! The views from our room were spectacular. Also just a block or two from many popular cafes and restaurants.

Older/experienced reception staff are missing. Or with more character and poise. In a conversation for a PROBLEM management I received a lot of excuses, doubts, and rock-solid rules. The customer loves to hear: "I will do my best to handle your problem". The LIFTS need to improve in speed and frequency. And it is pending to announce on the hotel website that there are BICLYCLES available and their price, but it's payment BY CASH is not accepted! (no comment). Just for that detail, I would remove one or two stars.

The roof top bar and restaurant has an amazing view of the Alster. And the rooms are spacious, comfortable, clean and silent. The check in staff was exemplary.

Don't forget to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking your stay. This site will compare hundreds of booking websites and typically will have rates a lot cheaper than others! You're welcome :)! This hotel is the best rated in this area. I have been staying here for a long time. If you stay for a few nights you won't be let down. The roof top bar and restaurant has an amazing view of the Alster. And the rooms are spacious, comfortable, clean and silent.

I wanted to review the restaurant on 9th floor. This was a DINING EXPERIENCE. Paella negra, perfectly done: creamy with plenty of seafood and a crunchy octopus on top - cooked to perfection. It had character and was so innately spanish that I could have forgotten I was in Hamburg. Then warm chocolate cake that had the thinnest outer crust and plenty of hot chocolate inside, served with fresh berries steeped in lemon zest. An unforgettable meal served by amazing staff 👏🏻

Beautiful place. Central in the heart of Hamburg with gorgeous view of the alster lake. Rooms need a little renovation but generally good quality. Great bar.

Great hotel and high service level in the reception. Would have been 5 stars if one of the elevators weren’t broken three days in a row, which was to great frustration for many visitors.

Excellent hotel in the heart of Hamburg. Well appointed rooms, an attentive staff and a prime location. Rooms are well designed with comfortable beds. Very clean. Recommended!

The hotel is great. Conveniently located near the train station and a nice walk to the city center. The lake view rooms offer spectacular views to a very nice lake. Rooms were quite nice and modern. Comfortable bedding and chairs. Breakfast was really good with excellent quality. Covid-wise, everyone acted responsibly so that’s a plus for me. I had a complementary room upgrade which was quite nice. The room had both a bathtub and a shower cabinet. Staff was very friendly and professional. One draw back is that the hotel had no room service and the only available restaurant was extremely expensive for a regular day dinner. So your only option will be to walk out for food.

⭐️ What a location, what an ambience just a awesome hotel ⭐️ I really enjoyed the Hotel with its great location and good service. The breakfast is awesome. Just two little downers. The SPA was closed, but you could go for free to the Atlantic SPA area. And the second one: the noises from the street were really loud, I thought the windows would protect it more, but they doesn't, I slept the second night with earplugs - than it was perfect. All in all it was a great day! I would definitely come back ⭐️
