Amazing by Stamford standards, and not bad objectively... When you're in Stamford, you'll pretty much take anything you can get - "meh" pretty much defines the local cuisine. In this sea of mediocrity, Chez Vous stands out pretty strong - it is, by far, the best you're going to do vis-a-vis French-fare in this 'hood. Mind you, that's not saying much. However, this isn't all that bad objectively speaking either. Delicate enough omlettes, and french-moroccan plates that are quite frequently Good. So yeah, you can do much much worse...

Lovely place. I enjoy not only the food, but first and foremost the hospitality here. Chef Erik, David, all of the staff - everyone is super kind, very friendly, receptive, accommodating, courteous, and overall good people. I can't recommend this place enough if you're looking for on point French cuisine with wonderful staff.

Chef Erik was such a nice person to talk to. He takes his time to attend every customer and make sure you're satisfied. He was nice enough to prepare something that was not in the menu.

Truly a taste of France. Chef Eric creates beautiful, fresh seasonal menus. Brunch, lunch, dinner. Small plates, salads and lentils, main courses. Full bar and attentive staff. Meet the Chef as he greets every customer with a handshake and smile. Park in the $5 paid lot and enjoy Stamford all day.

Chef Erik and his team have a wonderful French restaurant on a corner in Stamford. There's a very cheap parking lot right next to the restaurant. From the second you walk in, you're greeted and taken care of by the staff. Chef Erik also takes the time to walk around the tables, interact with guests, and even serve them drinks. It's not very often you come across an owner and executive chef that does everything in the restaurant! The hospitality was some of the best I've ever had. I ordered a burrata, NY strip with peppercorn sauce medium rare, and an asparagus risotto. The burrata was delicious and the steak was cooked to perfection! My partner said that the risotto was the best she's ever had! Chef Erik personally came by to make sure everything was to our liking. I can't speak highly enough about this establishment. Edited for spelling

I visited at noon today. The food was good. The waitress (she looked very angry )was not friendly. I would visited on Sunday cause the service was great last time.

Chef Erik is so kind and has an AMAZING heart for not just his customers but for the community as a whole . I witnessed him, while my sister and I were eating last evening at his restaurant run out of the kitchen and into the street to help a young man that was assaulted by lady who police later identified as (Veronica Delgado). Chef Erik stopped what he was doing to go assist and make sure the young man was ok until police and paramedics arrived. You are Awesome Chef Erik and may God continue to bless all you do! Love you Chef Erik 💙💙🙏🏽

This was our first time here. The food was excellent, the service was informal but very attentive. The noise level was a little too high for me but it was full. Towards the end of the dinner it was less full and the noise level was more acceptable. I thought it was a great value. The wine list was not too large but well priced. We had one dessert for the two of us. It was also very good and was more than we could finish. Definitely returning.

We love coming here for Sunday brunch but especially love chef and the staff as they are super kind and attentive! Everything is home made and just delicious! The duck confit is actually better then the duck I had in France a couple weeks back. I honestly cannot rave enough about it and drag friends here at every opportunity! Also my fiancé told me I should mention the French fries are amazing and that’s saying a lot considering it’s a major staple in his diet!

This was overall a good experience, the sole meuniere was especially good! The onion soup looked great but the broth was tasting strange and very sweet, so did the crouton and the spread they give as a starter... awful! The Frangelico cheesecake wasn't as good as expected. It was a nice meal but too pricey for the taste.

Good morning Chef-after reading all the commitments, I can’t quite understand the bad press that you got from some of the Unfortunate patrons. My girlfriend and I came to your place for the second time to celebrate her birthday(5-3) and we had a fabulous meal it was just outrageous I had the onion soup which was great and I had the French meat pie pie sorry chef French shepherds pie even better left over my girlfriend had the chicken which was in a great sauce just a little chewy but it was still fabulous. We definitely wanna come back sit at the bar Have your leek quiche and bottle of wine and enjoy more of your cuisine again thank you very much. Bon appétit

I got the creme brûlée here for my boyfriends birthday. They have you put down a 10$ deposit for their ceramic dish. I still need to return it. Sorry guys. I’m not back in town until the summer. Looks like I didn’t get a picture of the creme brûlée either :( -2020 I came back in person in 2022 and we ordered more food lol. Creme brûlée was still as good as before hahaah. It had blueberries and the next day had cherries. We got the charcuterie board and that was massive and way too much food. The duck confit was also good and the quinoa with sauce and leek were such a good combination with it. Had escargot for the first time and it was garlicky and buttery lol. Had dessert the next day, and really enjoyed the pineapple dessert. I wish there was something to soak up the cream because it was so good. Chocolate mousse was too rich for me but still good. Unfortunately, I don’t think I’ll be in this area anymore 💔, but it was nice to meet the staff here and try the food.

My wife and I ordered the shepherds pie and NY strip steak. They both tasted great and were cooked well. We ate crepes and the flan for dessert. The flan was perfectly made and warm.

Great bistro/cafe with two walls that can be opened up during nice weather. This place has staples of what you'd think of as French food, like escargot, but also has some more modern inspired dishes. Also serves beer on tap, wine, etc .

Excellent staff and food was amazing. The bread was fresh, the escargot were perfect(best I ever had) and the duck was crispy and perfectly seasoned. Dessert was just a delicious as the rest of the course, can't wait to come back to bring my wife so we can enjoy together. Perfect brunch!

Amazing delicious clean tasting dishes. My husband and I eat at the bistro every weekend and everything we have tried to date has been great. The chef is friendly and attentive, always thanking us for our patronage. My favourite is the onion soup, fois Gras while my husband loves the burger and the poached eggs. Les Moules frites made with PEI muscles was also very delicious. A real gem on Befdord street.

I like the seasonal menu; it adds a nice variety. But why is it that every french restaurant has chairs that are supremely uncomfortable?! I know restaurants in general often have less than pleasant chairs, but these were over the top torture. Sorry for the rant. The food was very good. My son loved the homemade sausage and sauerkraut.

This was my first visit to this place and I had high expectations for the quality of the food. Unfortunately, it was just average. However, I must say that the lady who assisted us was truly exceptional. Her hospitality was outstanding. As for the atmosphere, it was alright, but the restaurant was quite crowded and the space was limited. Luckily, I wouldn't choose to dine here again since the food was only mediocre.

Food is delicious. DO NOT GO if you have dietary restrictions or basic requests about your food because they will not accommodate you without making you feel bad. My mom has high blood pressure and when she asked for no salt added to her food, the waiter told her she was being difficult. Then recently my boyfriend called to check about his peanut allergy and they told him to look at the menu, as if every restaurant will tell you if they use peanut oil on the menu or detail the use of nuts, nut powders and nut oils in their food prep. So unfortunate, will never return.
