Today is 4th of July and the beach is open we paid 69$ to get in set up got in the water just to have the life guards tell us the water is closed from the health department for the entire day..This should have been told to us before we spent our money to get In. Smh Other than that the beach is nice and clean.

Beach fairly rocky and water a bit murky, but it is the Sound. Very pretty view , not overly crowded even on this beautiful day. Decent restrooms, one food truck, sufficient parking.

Such a lovely little beach. Locals are kind and inviting. This is a beach for relaxing and people are mindful of neighboring beach-goers. That being said, don't bring loud music and or large beach games. Like I said, this is a small, quiet beach and especially, anyone visiting from outside the area should be respectful of the locals who live here. That is obviously my opinion, but if you don't want to draw any nasty stares then I would heed my advice. Overall really enjoyed this beach and the water contains a high concentration of salt so you will get a nice exfoliating treatment while you swim. The next day your skin will feel nice and smooth! Highly recommend this beachπŸ‘

This is an amazing beach. If it’s a weekday and it’s not crowded, you can park in designated neighborhood by Iroquois and there is a ramp by the rocks. But be careful, they do ticket if it’s not valid parking.

I love West Beach. I gave it four stars because the bathrooms aren't open yet and I couldn't find a trash bin. But the beach itself was beautiful. I've been lucky enough that it hasn't been really crowded anytime I've gone. The tide was out but the water was crystal clear.

THIS IS NOT JUST A PUBLIC BEACH. There was no indication that there would be a fee to enter. Non Stamford residents pay $45 for a single day pass. Even Stamford residents without a pass can pay about $30. Beach is pretty and there wasn't an overwhelming amount of people, probably because it costs so much. Was looking forward to beach hopping for a vacation road trip but this put a HUGE dent in that plan.

Nice little beach. Travelled from Tennessee to city but everything was closed down from covid 19 so decided to cool down at closest beach. Lots of little crabs for kids to capture. Only thing I didn't like was loud, foul-mouthed teenagers behind us and we got a ticket. Maybe we just didn't know where to park

Definitely not worth it, unless you live in the area. Don’t waste your time visiting.

Very clean beach, it’s quiet and really relaxing. Not many people out at all. Definitely a good place to go to de-stress, do yoga, study, read a book, etc.

Nice beach, but not properly organized. Person at the booth does not allow people access to walking Stamford residents. He literally yelled the entire time and was very rude. Tired to get clarity from City of Stamford, but no help :/

Small, calm surf, on the quiet side. Missing the crash of the waves and possibly some permanent concessions but a nice, cute beach for quiet time. Beach is a little rocky for barefoot walking.

Good place for refreshing. Small but cozy. You supposed to be local to enjoy this place completely but if you come by Metro North train from NYC out of beach season you can enjoy relaxing here.

Small beach in Stamford for residents. Non residents have to pay. Clean and lifeguard on duty. Children’s playground at one corner.

Hard to tell how the beach was since I wasn't there for the beach. But here are some photos.

Sweet little beach. Has outdoor shower/rinse area. Nice restroom. Pretty views of the sound and pier, latter of which is part of the adjacent beach and, sadly, not accessible from West Beach. Had a food truck on the premises, no other snack bar or food stand. Worth the trip. Arrive earlier in the day to get your pick on a spot as the beach is small, but this also makes it a super quick walk to the beach or car. :)

Great beach, sand was clean, but weekends you have to pay, why?? Because soccer teams are playing, so what? Port a Potty near soccer field disgusting, on beach immaculate, why??

The beach is quiet, it has a lot of lifesaving and places for you to picnic with your family. But the water is very dark and until about 3 p.m. the tide is very high. You have to be careful with the children.

69$ for out of state car 😑 Did not see a price on the City of Stanford web page. Unreal. The beach is ok. Not worth 69$ Bathhouse on premises that's the single reason I gave 2 stars. We drove 2 hrs 20min from the Catskills. Will not be going back.

What is the water is pretty shallow here but the beach itself is pretty nice and comfortable. I'm coming here to swim pretty often during the winter

Clean, well-maintaned and the water is so warm in the bay! Totally recommend stopping by. Clean toilets and outside showers available

Prices are insane. $69 per car on weekend. The management is probably very far from reality. We pay $20 per car at Jersey shore and beaches there are not even comparable to Connecticut beaches. Always dirty, sharp shells underneath your feet here. Waisting of time and money.
