Police Museum

Tourist attraction Museum

👍👍 Very interesting museum. It shows the history of the police in Stockholm. The cases that were solved on the 1st floor were particularly exciting. Also very child-friendly with a play area and a cart (pedal car) outside that costs 20 minutes for 20 minutes. People often mention police, museum, kids, interesting, children, nice, play, history, Nice, visit,

A nice though small museum. It is not expensive and there is a veeeery nice play area indoor with real poluce car and motorcycle to hop on/in and discover. An outdoor playground also. Try to find out on their website if they have activities for kids, they are definitely worth it.

Nice museum specially for small kids who love police. There are cars and bikes where kids can sit and feel like they became police. Some police history and stuff to read. And many times they have some special program for kids. Good to visit for children

A very interesting and emotional museum, good mix of criminal history and more contemporary cases. Very nice and knowledgeable staff, and nice shop at the beginning ☺️ recommend for all ages - I'll be back!

There are many "side quests" for the children to enjoy the museum and collect rewards.

Nice for kids who can play police, try sitting in a police car etc For grown ups and bigger kids there's alot to read and watch interesting, horrifying and worrying stuff...I left with a lot of thoughts and mixed feelings... Big + for free of charge storage and it's ok to bring what you like to eat.

Very friendly staff. Cheap entry. There is a lot of reading, but almost everything is in Swedish and English. There are also lots to do and try. If you are there with a child I think about 2 hours of entertainment, but more if you use the play areas. Worth a visit if you find policing interesting.

To be honest, I would have liked more information and original exhibits about the Swedish police. Especially in the "real" police section, only one in three information boards seemed to be available in English. A positive thing to mention is that negative things about the police are also openly discussed and there are very current panels on current topics such as xenophobia.

A really interesting museum covering the development of the police since the late 1700's through to today. A great place for school children from 11+ to visit.

Too many screaming children, otherwise informative and pleasant. You need more than 3 hours if you have time to read about everything as I do.

There are lots of good stories about how the police developed and how they solved various crimes throughout the ages. There is also information about the different professions within the police if you are interested in becoming a police officer. A fun museum to visit if you want to learn about the police authority and the children can have fun in the playroom at the police museum. Worth visiting. If you work as a police officer, entry is free.

I went with my wife, 3 year old and 5 year old. I’ve been to many museums in Stockholm and this is one of the worst. Didn’t cater well to parents or children. Very mediocre. Spend your time at other museums.

The most boring museum I have ever been to. Was hoping to see police cars through the ages or something surprising. The museum is literally walls covered with just text. I didn't come to read the stuff on google!

Good fun! Good price, fun car track outside! Play room great idea, something for everyone. Then you can go to etnografiska restaurant for lunch or fika

Thought it would be a bit more exciting than what it turned out to be. A small museum that doesn't depict how police work is conducted in Sweden as expected seeing that it is the police museum.

Not så much to see. A lot to read.

It is a fairly small museum, but interesting and gives the story of advances in investigation and day to day policing. Almost all exhibits and signs in both English and Svenska.

Nice museum, but I'm missing some police history, like old uniforms.

It took us 30 minutes to complete our visit. There are only few things there. My favorite one was the mugshot photos from the early 19th century. That part was really interesting the rest was kinda lame.

The highlight is the large play area for children. They can dress up as police, and play on a real police car and motorcyle. 20 sek for pedal car rental to use on outdoor track. Nice playground as well.

History based on criminology, crime history in Sweden, and currently, snippets of the lives of those arrested in the turn of the century. Much more interesting than we originally expected. Very interesting
