👍👍 Food never disappoints here. Service is great too and always attentive and friendly. One little suggestion, don’t charge $2 for a tiny bit of mayonnaise. This isn’t a cheap or low end restaurant, price is above average, so it drives the experience that bit lower when you charge for small stuff like... Probably some of the best sushi I’ve had in a while! Only found out about @oishiisushibar last week but I’m glad I did! What we got: • Black Dragon ($16) • Spider Roll ($15) • Snake Roll ($15) • Salmon Sashimi ($19) • Soba in Bonito Konbu Soup ($12) • Tori Karaage - As an add-on for the soup ($3) We loved all 3 different sushi, but my favourite was probably the spider roll! The sushi was presented really nicely and quality was up there. Same goes for the sashimi - it was very fresh! The soba was a bit too soft but the chicken which we got on the side was really good! If you haven’t this place yet, you definitely should! Can’t wait to go again! 🙌

Awesome sushi restaurant. Unfortunately we came at a really busy time so there was no seating inside and it was quite chilly, but we had a heater outdoor turned on for us which made it more than comfortable. Our food was served super fast and was amazingly fresh. To have warm sushi come out with authentic and fresh ingredients was very refreshing. The food was spot on and great serving sizes. We will definitely be back here again and to note the snake roll was exceptional.

Food was really good in general, a bit pricy but worth it. If you’re in a rush then it’s not really suitable as it seems they make all dishes fresh and it can take some time for them to get to your order. Staff were very polite, they don’t ignore you and also acknowledge your still waiting as they walk past.

Fantastic dinner, best takoyaki I've had. Sushi is 10/10 amazing. The soy sauce dispensers are a little bit different but it works. Love the jazz, and the mellow lighting perfect for date night.

My wife and I go there regularly and love the food and service. We are foodies and highly recommend Oishii for their sushi. Top notch everytime.

Food 4/5 Excellent. Fresh and delicious sushi. I used to come here 7 years ago but it was super busy so I didn't come often Recently, I was able to be in the area, and it seems the food quality is still very good. The serving size is small. Service 4/5 A bit lacking, it is hard to get the attention of staff members even when the restaurant isn't that busy on a Tuesday evening. Atmosphere 4/5 Indoor seating is dim with low lighting, but it's better compared to outdoor seating. Have to fight off mozzies and flies at times. Overall 4/5

Tasty sushi, good service. A very refreshing take on California rolls. Very reasonably priced too. Looking forward to coming back later.

We have come here quite a few times (maybe 5-6) in the past few months so I think we have gotten a pretty accurate representation of what it is like here. Overall, the restaurant is nice - the food is very tasty and feels fresh and well made (feels like higher quality fish and the effort put into each dish generally seems quite high). In terms of dishes that I’d recommend- I think the Himawari sushi is amazing, as well as the salmon aburi don. The other sushi dishes are also very tasty but don’t seem to top those two. The starters we have tried have been pretty good but nothing to rave much about. I’d say the scallops are quite nice, but the takoyaki and karage aren’t super special. In terms of service, the staff are always very friendly but we’ve had three separate occasions where there has been some sort of issue with the order. The first time, they mistakenly gave us something when we ordered something else. The second and third time, they took our order but completely forgot to send it to the chefs, so we were left waiting and hungry… I’m not sure if it’s an unfortunate coincidence, but it definitely did take away from my enjoyment of the place. One other thing is that it does seem to take them longer than other Japanese restaurants or sushi restaurants to prepare/make the food. In summary, the food is mostly great- some better than others. They have unique dishes that you cannot get anywhere else, as well as the standard ones (that aren’t super special or different here). Staff are friendly, but the amount of times we’ve had issues has taken the rating down from a 4.5 to a 3. Edit 26/12/23: we came back again and tried even more! The eggplant is lovely too

I’ve been coming here for 10 years and the sushi 🍣 is always consistent and never misses. Love the red dragon roll and the himawari roll.

Great good value for money, one of the cheapest but best tasting fresh sashimi and takoyaki in the area. Highly recommended!

Read a lot of good reviews and attended a family gathering with 20 people. As this was my first time, I depended on Google map to take me there. It was not very clear directions and signage of this restaurant was poor. Only "sushi bar" was displayed but not Oishii Sushi so I had to ring up to confirm if it was the right place? Sushi was good and fresh but the Udon noodles with Karaage came immersed in the soup despite request to separate the Karaage to preserve the crunch. The atmosphere is really very bare especially sitting outside on the corridor staring at roof downpipes. Anyways, food is not bad and service could be better. Parking is insufficient and awkward. It's not a place that I would rush back to.

Been coming here for a number of years for special occasions and the food never disappoints. Came here on Mother's day for dinner and it satisfied our tummies!

Food on a semi busy night was quite nice. The rice was a bit dry in the sushi rolls we ordered but they were otherwise okay. The snake roll was a standout, with the softness of the medium rare salmon being complemented well by the tasty crispy salmon skin surrounding it. Decent service and nice, comfortable instrumental background music.

We chose this restaurant as it has a lot of vegan options which is quite uncommon for a sushi place! My husband is vegan so he ordered the green dragon and it was fabulous. I ordered tempura prawn and to be honest it was the best sushi we had in Brisbane so far. Highly recommend this place!

Fresh sashimi that is quite generous with their cut sizes. We enjoyed everything that we ordered Japanese curry rice, sushi, sashimi and udon noodles! I am very impress on how they recreate the wooden chopsticks for kids! So innovative!!! Service was great, staffs were so welcoming and friendly!

3.75 ⭐️- been going here for many years know and is always one of my go to places for good sushi! Although I do feel that their quality and freshness has dropped over the last couple of years. Big selection of menu, some reasonably priced and some more expensive. Would recommend the spider roll, red dragon and white dragon!

UNBELIEVABLE value. Makerell half of filet sized of a finger with bones $22. Other sushi twice the price of the one everywhere else. Nothing special of taste either. Rice served without everything else. By the time other food was brought it cooled down. Will never go there again and don't recommend it to anyone
