The décor was cozy and welcoming . The wait staff was very nice and accommodating. However, I can’t overlook the fact that the kitchen staff was engaged in a very loud discussion about having diarrhea. This was a deal-breaker for me. The flatbread appetizer (normally a very quick to prepare item), took a long time to come out and was overloaded with toppings - so much that some portions were very cold and did not get cooked all the way through. I wanted to love this place but so many bad things happened!

Our first visit...Service was great! Our waitress was very nice! The pizza was some of the best pizza I've ever had! I would highly recommend this place!!! This evening, my husband and I ate here for a second time. We ordered a large half vintage house and half taco pizza. Mrs. Mary was very nice and the pizza was amazing!!

Got there a little before 5 pm on a Thursday. There were only two other people in the restaurant, so they definitely weren’t busy. We didn’t get our pizza until 5:55pm. Waitress couldn’t even be bothered to come give us an update or refill our waters. When we finally got our pizza, my order was wrong. Waitress just said she’ll “tell them in the back.” That doesn’t fix my pizza or give me back my wasted time at this place. Pizza was mediocre, at best. Wouldn’t come back.

Completely forgot to make my order. Took 20 minutes for a calzone to come. Family was already done eating by then. They offered to "take a couple of dollars off bill". I did not pay for it. Also, ran out of Mt. Dew and never brought refills. Said product ran out and they needed to change it. Never again...

Love this place! A large menu full of tasty treats! For thin crust, classic pizza, this is the best place in the Twin Ports. But when you add in the calories, desserts and the great beer selection this becomes an easy 5-star rated restaurant for me!

I would have given 1/2 star if I could. This is the second time I did an online order that was unsatisfactory. Both times it took over an hour and a half to get my pizza. For this order I ordered a sausage and cheese and the pizza, what I received was a pepperoni, sausage and cheese pizza. When I called to let VIP know of my disappointment, they told me they were busy, this was a Tuesday night and I ordered it around 7:15pm. Received the pizza at 8:45, semi warm, cheese was off to one side, and with pepperoni. They told me I could have another one, but it would take an hour to receive it. I said no, did not want to eat at 10:00 at night. Then offered me a credit for my next order. I said ok, we'll see how well my next one comes. This will be my last order with VIP. Hopefully Shorty's pizza will have better and faster service.

First time visiting VIP. The place presented clean and orderly. Our beverages were ordered and delivered promptly. A few minutes later our order was taken. We ordered two pies that were recommended to us by others who had been there. ( This was our first visit) It seemed to take an exceedingly long time for our pizzas to arrive. So much so that my wife got up to enquire. " They just came out of the oven" was the response. They were brought to our table, no eye contact was made. Both pies were over cooked, one to the point of blackness. Our server seemed to realize that this was unacceptable. I got up with the burnt, black pie and began to walk it to the kitchen. She immediately offered to re do the pizza. We would surely have understood if she came out and said that the pies were both overcooked and couldn't be served... But that's not the way it went down. The worst of the two was redone and delivered promptly. And I will say it was quite good. To the servers credit, she presented the bill with a tiny discount. 5 bucks. We paid the bill, offered a reasonable cash tip, and left. Underwhelmed . It is unlikely that we will " darken" their doorstep again. Sammy's remains king.

Good pizza, entertainment in the form of live music at times, big menu, original recipes, sometimes service leaves a bit to be desired. However, you can combat that with carry out or delivery! Right downtown in Superior, right on Superior's main drag. Lots of large hall or banquet like areas for private gatherings lots of floor space for families. I would say somewhere you gotta try for yourself. In my opinion, a tad overpriced.

VIP used to be across the street in a small space and it was awesome there. Tons of cheese on their pizza and great quality toppings. Now it's in a much bigger spot and just as good. Whenever I am back to see my family, I always make it for at least one meal! Keep it up!

Best Italian food including 🍕 pizza around. Bar and restaurant sections a plus. Great staff. Daily specials.

Best Thin Crust pizza ever! We enjoyed our Howdy Pizon pizza so very much that we ordered another for takeout. Was very happy that they were willing to make it as a take and bake style. The Italian sausage was wonderful! Best tasting sausage I have ever had. Ordered a couple of pounds to go. Also got some marinara sauce to go. Look forward to returning whenever we are in the area.

Price insane last visit Sorry great pizza but way to much I enjoyed my last visit it’s a crying shame I will never go back . I kept looking for gold in my pizza

I was here for a family event and was blown away by the internal decorating. The atmosphere here was brilliant. Food honestly was pretty typical of Italian restaurants, I liked it, but I can't say it was the best I've ever had. All around it was a great place for a family event.

The pizza from here is great. Sat in the bar and waited for take out with my 3 year old. She got a free lemonade. There is also a dinning area. Clean. Friendly staff.

The best pizza ive had in years. We even took some sauce home with us . Waitress seemed a bit annoyed with our questions as we had never been there before. Maybe if she wasnt she would have gotten a bigger tip reguardless of it being the end of the night. we were impressed with the food would totally go back again.

Been a regular for over 5 years. Same great quality, best pizza in the twin ports and beyond. Great for party reservations, and large family gatherings. Staff is attentive, and friendly.

Reasonable and delicious food. Found out the two locations in Duluth only have pizza and calzones. The restaurant in Superior has a large menu and nice atmosphere. I miss all the high-heel shoes hung on the wall in the women's room. Apparently, too many shoes were taken. How sad.
