We moved from Louisiana up to the northshore of Northern Minnesota and we have been missing legit Mexican food! We decided to hop over the bridge and try this place while we were visiting Duluth and we're so glad we did! The food was superb and was so well priced! Cathy was such a sweet woman and served us quickly and was super friendly even though we arrived close to closing time. It looked like they were having even more people coming in at the last minute. We're already planning our next visit despite it being over an hour away from where we are! Hands down the best Mexican in the area! ♥️♥️♥️

Went To Guadalajara Mexican Restaurant In Superior WI. I Had And Recommend The Chicken Fajitas or Steak Fajitas, Not To Little And Not To Much. I Definitely Recommend To You If Your In Superior WI And Want A Good Meal, I Recommend Trying Out Guadalajara Mexican Restaurant For Great Time. Tamales were moist and well seasoned (although I had to sprinkle a bit of salt for my liking). Seafood molcajete was delicious. Golden margarita was ginormous. Enchiladas were pretty good.

So I ordered the supreme fajitas the chimichangas beef and a tamale. The fajitas are fire always I wanted to order something new so I ordered the chimichangas and the tamales just to try them. I’ve never had Chimichangas before. So I can’t really say if they’re authentic or not I thought they were pretty decent but it reminded me of like a roast meat but it was very soft and moist which was very good it was just a lot of queso on it. The tamale was not authentic it was smothered in sauce and cheese and beef which is odd it’s quite small usually tamales are pretty big. It was also very mushy and quite cold I’ve had tamales in Mexico before and they’re made nothing like this so I would not get the tamales again

It is a charming and authentic Mexican restaurant. The drinks and food were delicious, varied, and reasonably priced. Our server, Riccardo, was both a gentleman and a scholar. The amount of small beautiful details as well as the amazing murals, music, and ambience was absolutely astounding. The bathroom doors even had amazing hand carved panels and the inside of the bathrooms were immaculately clean. I am very pleased to have discovered this precious gem of a place. If it were possible, I would give them 10 stars for their rating.

We were traveling to Superior and decided on this restaurant based on the reviews. The chimichanga was listed as spicy chicken. It was very bland. My margarita tasted watered down. My wife ordered an Old Fashioned. They brought her a fruit drink and charged us $9.50 for it. Very disappointed.

Soggy tacos and the meat has no flavor. I've made better tacos, enchiladas and guacamole at home. The Mexican rice and refried beans were the only decent part of the meal. I've never had such bland Mexican food at a restaurant. Don't waste your money.

Food wasn’t bad except for heavily salted shredded chicken in the burrito but still edible if really hungry! Artwork and decor was really pretty and festive. I would go back (but try another meat product)! Olé!

This is the BEST Mexican restaurant I have ever been to!!!!! So good!! The servers and all of the staff are great, kind, helpful people. The menu was immense --- so many varieties of awesome authentic Mexican foods to eat. I loved the indoor design/decor --- the carved and handpainted bench backs and papel picado (cut paper) banners. Good vibe with music and I think some of lady servers were salsa-ing a bit to celebrate the end of their shift. Very very affordable. I recommend the Enchiladas Supremas. The special was the Burrito Real, which my boyfriend ordered (and I sampled... delisioso!)

Busy place! Our party of nine was treated like we were a party of two. Prompt, courteous and great service and food served piping ho. They did not miss a beat

Steak fajitas was good. extremely small portions I received for rice and beans. Knowing this I ordered an extra rice. The container of extra rice wasn’t even half full. The rice had no flavor. Don’t waste ya money on this place. Used to be really good food. SAD

Some of the best Mexican in the area! Cheap and strong margaritas that are often a special. Staff are always great. Food comes out quick, hot, and tasty! Only downside is that it may be hard to find for a first timer if they're not using google maps to get there and the parking lot is in disrepair as it's attached to the old, closed, mall. However, this does not in anyway take away from the restaurant itself!

1 of the 5 of us thought the food was good. We only saw the server to order food, and again when he brought it out. We had to go to the register (only one for the whole restaurant) and wait in line, then tell them where we sat because we never got the bill. Definitely do not recommend, and will not return.

I was so bummed, researched for days a good Mexican restaurant and went way out of my way to go here. Food was extremely bland. The shrimp was not cleaned at all, I haven’t seen shrimp that weren’t deveined in many years. Worst guac I’ve ever had. The food was extremely bland. I’m used to Mexican that’s authentic having flavor. Salsa was good but that’s about it.

Got enchiladas verdes dinner. Came out looking like something my daughter just pooped out. Along with some letuce with a slapped on spoon of sour cream. That's all. Waiter never asked if everything was alright even after seeing that my food was hardly touched.......... Tasted horrible and that for $13..... When I wanted to pay I stood there for15 minutes with the owner sitting there looking at me.......returned to our table and let my gf handle it, because I was about to loose it. $80 bill and they weren't all that interested in taking my money for bad to mediocre food and tiny portions and meals. A never returning customer here. The worst restaurant experience ever.

Not my first time here but definitely my last. Today my boyfriend, myself, and our 1 yr old went there and we ordered and waited, and waited, and waited some more (over an hour no exaggeration) before we paid and left without getting our entrees. We were not not expecting to wait that long especially on a Monday night. I'm disappointed because they showed no concern and didn't bother communicating anything with us. I will never be back and will be telling everyone I know about my horrible experience.

My husband and I ate here last night. I have the enchiladas verde and a margarita. Both were very delicious. I love Mexican food in general and this is one of the best in the area. Staff was extremely professional and we had great service from our waiter. I want to go back - soon! Prices were very reasonable, too.

The server was extremely helpful and never let our drinks get low before offering refill. The food was excellent and hot served quick and fresh. We've been eating there for a while and it always reminds us why. Thanks for everything you do.

Loved coming here! Although I didn't get to stay super long, I can say the staff were very nice and attentive. And their margaritas are AMAZING! I will definitely be going back!

There were a lot of people here, and that shouldn't be overlooked, but this was our first experience, and we are not likely to return. We saw the waiter only twice. Once when he took our order and once when he took the payment. As we were getting up to leave a passing server asked if I wanted her to refill the water glass that sat empty on the table since shortly after we were seated. I ordered fajitas. You know, the Latin stir fry that is usually served on a sizzling cast iron skillet. Usually, but not here, not this day. The food was overcooked, badly, cold, and tasteless. It was not inedible but it was mediocre at best. Except the shrimp in the fajitas. Those were overcooked to misery. I wouldn't call this restaurant a place to avoid. Maybe we just picked the wrong things or the wrong day. People kept coming in the whole time we were there. I will say that mediocre service and mediocre food will lead us to choose to eat elsewhere, since better choices are available.

I've heard so many good things about Guadalajara. My family and I went about 2 years ago during covid and wasn't impressed. We gave it another shot. We ordered an array of different Mexican items. The tacos were soggy and I looked and there was NO seasoning on the meat. It just looked like browned hamburger. My husband ordered the chili relleno and it was certainly not a chili relleno. We gave it another chance but will not be back. 🤢

Guadalajara is one of the very few Mexican restaurants in the Duluth-Superior area and its alright. I have been there numerous times and each time has been fine. Nothing amazing, but nothing horrible either. If you're looking to fix a craving it will suffice. I know that this is picky of me but last year my husband and I had gone there for Cinco De Mayo. We went there knowing full well that it would be very busy. We knew that we would have to be very patient and we didn't go until closer to 8pm in the hopes to miss the dinner rush. We were seated quickly and our drink order was taken fast. It was packed there. We ordered our food right away and waited 45 minutes for it. I had told our server multiple times and quite clearly that I could not have sour cream or cheese and my food needed to have none. He told me that it would be taken care of. When we got it mine was filled to the brim with sour cream and cheese, and I had ordered mine with no cheese or sour cream because I am allergic to dairy. Because it was hidden in the food our server left. We waited another 20 minutes for him to come back and told him about the mistake. By this time the crowd had thinned some. He ran back to fix it and another 20 minutes later I finally had food I could eat safely. I do not know how large his section was but 20 minutes to come check on a table is too long. I understand that it was a busy night but I have worked in the service industry for years and I would have been chewed out by my bosses for something like this.

Excellent experience! Delicious authentic Mexican food that they make fresh to order! Even if it's not on the menu! A new found favorite!! Very friendly, efficient service - keep up the great work and quality food.
