We
indulged
in
the
High
Tea
offer
which
costed
$45
per
person
(where
there's
a
minimum
group
of
2
required).
Here's
what
was
included
and
my
opinion
of
it:
▪︎Drinks:
A
pot
of
your
choice
of
tea
or
coffee
for
you
to
share.
🫖
We
selected
English
Breakfast
and
Peppermint
Tea
and
it
was
both
very
fragrant,
paired
nicely
with
the
food
and
helped
refresh
you
palate.
Additionally,
the
staff
was
extremely
kind
and
allowed
us
refills
of
the
tea
(free
of
charge!)
which
was
super
generous
of
them.
▪︎Savoury
Food:
Smoked
salmon
canapé,
egg
sandwich
and
a
mini
style
burger
🍔
The
savouries
were
the
best.
I
thoroughly
enjoyed
the
egg
sandwich
and
the
mini
style
burger
-
which
was
extremely
filling
despite
the
size.
The
smoked
salmon
canapé
was
great
however
the
wafer/cracker
soaked
up
all
the
juices
from
the
fresh
avocado
slices
so
it
ended
up
as
a
soggy
wafer/cracker
-
it
was
still
scrumptious
though!
▪︎Sweet
Food:
Scones
with
jam
and
fresh
cream,
carrot
cake,
macaron
and
cheesecake
(selection
of
2
flavours
of
your
choice
🍰
I'm
a
big
fan
of
sweets
so
this
is
where
the
points
were
lost.
The
carrot
cake
was
the
best
out
of
the
four.
It
had
a
great
balance
of
flavour
and
wasn't
too
sweet.
The
macaron
was
okay,
nothing
really
notable.
The
red
velvet
cheesecake
(lemon
fromage
with
red
velvet
sponge)
and
strawberry
cheesecake
(strawberry
and
mascarpone
mousse
on
New
York
cheesecake)
wasn't
exactly
to
my
liking.
I
know
these
cakes
are
from
"The
Smelly
Cheesecake"
however
the
cake
slices
we
received
didn't
taste
very
"fresh"
-
it
tasted
very
dry.
The
red
velvet
spong
was
crumbly;
the
mascarpone
mousse
was
grainy
and
not
smooth.
The
scones
were
equally
disappointing
and
was
very
dense,
almost
rock
hard
and
had
the
texture
of
a
biscuit.
▪️▫️SUMMARY▫️▪️
The
pricing
for
High
Tea
is
one
of
the
cheapest
out
there.
The
customer
service
was
splendid
-
the
staff
was
extremely
accommodating
e.g.
giving
us
free
tea
refills,
and
they
also
asked
us
if
we
wanted
the
air-con
turned
on.
The
cafe
vibes
were
super
cute
and
aesthetic
as
well!
Food
wise,
the
savouries
were
best
-
I
think
the
reason
behind
this
is
probably
because
these
were
made
in-house,
whereas
the
sweets
were
all
from
their
partner
"The
Smelly
Cheesecake",
but
I
might
be
wrong.
Regardless,
the
High
Tea
was
an
experience
worthy
of
trying,
so
if
you're
interested
in
a
fancy
brunch/lunch
in
West
Ryde,
do
check
this
cafe
out!
If
you're
on
a
budget,
I'll
recommend
trying
out
the
cafe
food
menu
instead!
