A must stay hostel in Tainan cozy place with a lot of lot of book surround you comfortable bed . Very convenient surroundings but is a bit far from the train station. In the hostel have aroma every time I visit Tainan Every time I will stay here But this hostel every year increase price, I don’t mind they increase price but have to control the customers quality not just selling to poor customers. My experience here last visit was in 24/2/2020 this customer come back hostel at 2am very noisy how many time he go toilet I also know can’t sleep at all

One of the best hostel you can find, set in a former bookstore, beds are immersed in the library and you enter through the shelves full of books, great idea and atmosphere. Good rooftop terrace and space to hang out, with free coffee, tea, soy milk and water. Perfect location close to a park, a Confucian temple, Tainan Art Museum, and lots of cool shops and cafes. Owners are great people, very helpful, and - as when I stayed there was Chinese New Year - they prepared a traditional dinner and offered to all the guests. Don't miss it if you're travelling in Taiwan!

An old book store converted to a hostel. The owners and staff are friendly. One of the owners, as well as some other staff, speaks English. They actually invited myself and a few other guests to a local festival I wouldn't have otherwise known about. ☺️ This place is clean and quiet at night. A towel was supplied. There's also a secure storage area for belongings, a social area where there's breakfast each morning, and coin operated laundry facilities on-premises. Beds are comfortable, and each one has electricity outlets, a reading light, and a privacy curtain. The location is convenient too, just a short walk from Tainan Station.

Great place. But front desk staff is slow to check in guests. It took over 30-40 minutes of waiting to finally get checked in. They are understaffed and not able to check in people more than one at a time. At one point, there was an hour wait for people at the back of the check in line. Everything else was great. Beds are comfortable, sheets and blankets are soft and clean. There were two guys having a conversation in the sleeping area at 11:30 pm. That’s not the hostel’s fault.

This was one of the best hostels I have ever stayed at. The owner was very nice and helpful, the rooms were comfortable and clean, and it was in a fantastic location. I also loved that the hostel had two computers in the common area. I had a lot of work to do during my stay here so it was nice to be able to stay at the hostel and not go to an Internet cafe to be productive. The hostel only had a few guests while I was there, but I was still able to make a travel buddy to hang out with and eat with. 10/10, would definitely stay here again.

It was really a wonderful and unforgettable experience to stay in an inn with books I had never had before. Do you think it is a library? No. Actually it is a mixture of a backpackers' inn and a second-hand bookstore. There are big varieties of books. Most of them are written in Chinese. But some English and Japanese books can also be found there. Beds are behind bookshelves. So you may enjoy reading all the time. It is quite a special feeling to sleep with books. The lounge is open 24 hours a day. You may have your quiet time with a coffee. The receptionists are very nice to talk with you as well. If you want to have a wonderful holiday like me, you'd better go there to experience yourself! Of course, no hotel or inn is perfect. My little comment was that it was too cold at midnight because of the strong air conditioning. It was not necessary to have a cold room even though there was a blanket for me to keep warm. Nevertheless, it was a good inn. Moustache👨

Nice hostel, with friendly staff. And the decorations is nice. There are free drinks and snacks in the common area.

A very unique, comfortable, and reasonably-priced hostel in a great location right across from a large park and the Confucius Temple. Lots of great design details, with many places to relax, work, or read one of the many books throughout the hostel.

I really enjoyed my stay at Caoji Book Inn. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I stayed in the Standard 4-bed mixed room. While more expensive than the other options, in my mind it is the better option. Most of the other dorm options are actually more like capsules - they aren’t separate rooms. Instead, they’re essentially attached to the corridors. This means less privacy and more noise. The Standard 4-bed mixed room is its own room. They don’t really tell you this when booking. Otherwise, the facilities here are really good. There’s a kitchen and large communal area. There’s also separate outdoor areas. I never had to wait to use the bathroom or shower. Perhaps the main feature of this hostel are it’s books. There’s books everywhere! It’s a really nice and unique feature. The location of the hostel is good, too. It’s about a 20 minute walk from the station. It’s nearby some places, though mostly Tainan is quite spread out. I’d definitely recommend staying here. My only concerns is that they should provide bigger towels and turn on the air conditioning throughout the day in more areas.

Title : Sleep in the Bookshelf; Popular Lovely Hostel Spotlights: * Unique Hostel transformed from a Second-Hand Bookstore * Across Tainan Conscious Temple (most famous tourist attraction in Tainan) * Lovely Old-Town Neighborhood, Abundant Local Gourmets to Discover * Comfy Bed and Impeccable Pillow * Clean Shared Bathroom w/ Toiletries * Cute Retro Hostel Bags to Buy (as souvenirs) * Multinational Backpackers Stay Here * Spacious Open-Space Rooftop Lounge for Hostel Guests Pity: When the cube curtain was shut, it'd block the A/C and bed area air became a bit stuffy. On contrast, because of the thick curtain, it blocked all the lighting and suitable for sleeping.

I went to this hostel because the hostel I originaly booked did not exist. It is an amazing hostel. The staff is lovely and speaks English quite well. I stayed in a 6 bed female dorm, in an all female building. The beds were good and there are individual lockers. It was a bit light room, but the best part was the bathroom. It was large, light and had free skincare products at your disposal. In the other building they had the mixed dorms, but there were still locks on the female bathroom which makes them quite safe. And on top of that is located very central and close to alle the good spots in town. Go stay here its amazing.

Definitely one of the best hostels I have been to so far! Super lovely staff who helped me with things and were able to accommodate my requests. Comfortable beds and well equipped rooms as well as common area. Great vibe with lots of art and of course books throughout the entire building. The only thing I could complain about is that the windows in the room are easily moved by any wind which makes some noise but thank god they also provide you with ear plugs. I can definitely recommend this place, thank you!
