👍👍 This is a great place in the mountains. 6 private hot spring baths for 6 rooms. On a hot summer day you're guaranteed to want to wade in the hot springs and shower at least twice a day. The owners are super friendly and accommodating.. One of them cooks the meals and she does a fantastic job. I... People often mention private,

This is a great place in the mountains. 6 private hot spring baths for 6 rooms. On a hot summer day you're guaranteed to want to wade in the hot springs and shower at least twice a day. The owners are super friendly and accommodating.. One of them cooks the meals and she does a fantastic job. I would highly recommend getting dinner here every night. There was local beef and fish every night. I don't think I've eaten beef in so many interesting ways before. For foreign visitors they provide little slips of paper with hand-drawn doodles and explanations of what you're eating. It's pretty cute and much appreciated. It seems like you could get here by bus from Takayama without much trouble. But we thought it was a good excuse to rent a car. Driving in this part of Japan is really easy and straightforward - even if you're used to driving on the right side of the road like I am.

Nice dinner, polite stuff. This hotel has only 6 rooms, but bathrooms are also 6, and can use private. All bathrooms are natural hot spring, and 2 bathrooms located open air!

A fantastic place to stay after a long day of hiking, the atmosphere was cozy and relaxing and the food was outstanding. The attention given to every detail was very apparent. And the family was so nice - they insisted on picking us up and were in constant contact until we made it down the mountain. The perfect Ryokan experience!

Very friendly and accommodating staff and the food is creative and delicious. Also, the staff is very fluent in English and the outdoor baths are private.

I had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful accommodation with six private onsens, and it was an absolute delight. The host couple went above and beyond to make our stay special. The private onsens were the epitome of relaxation, offering stunning views and soothing hot springs. What stood out most was their thoughtfulness in preparing a delicious, very, very good meal even with a vegetarian option! Their warm hospitality made this a truly memorable experience, and I can't wait to return. Highly recommended!

We stayed here in November and it was a treat to experience the different private onsen and feel pampered by the owners, who prepared excellent meals and speak English. We were so glad we extended our stay to two nights. The surrounding mountains are beautiful

Wonderful Ryokan (at least from western perspective). They have 4 indoor onsens and 2 outdoor. The indoor are nice and clean but the outside onsen is just magical with all maroon trees around. The food was excellent triggering many different taste buds. Food presentation was absolutely beautiful. The location is a bit remote with nothing special within a short distance. It is ideal for hiking the Yakedake (not easy!).

Amazing food (they were also able to provide gluten free options), great indoor and outdoor onsens. Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are decent. The location is nice but not amazing, and it's still a fair walk to the ropeway and so on.
