The 70’s hasn’t left this hotel. Just set up for massive tour groups. Clean, but then this is Japan.

Great spot for experiencing Takayama. We enjoyed a light lunch and amazing view from the spa where we enjoyed the hot springs. Lovely!

The customer service was very friendly here at Hotel Associa. The cleaning staffs were equally nice too - one of the cleaning ladies helped set up our futons each day we stayed. The internet was okay, but it's reasonable because we are up in the mountains. Sometimes the wifi was unstable, and sometimes it was excellent. The hotel is actually an hour away from Shirakawa go!

The hotel is good from service, convenient, onsen and food (breakfast and dinner). You can book the dinner in hotel and after that enjoy onsen service. It's so great!!!From the hotel to hide folk village and sanmachi soji is near. Should try if you come to Takayama!

Clean, big rooms with nice room and great view, laundry facilities that were easy to use. Very attentive when requesting new amenities on phone from room. Air con controlled by hotel, so only able to adjust by a few degrees in room, seems a bit ridiculous that can’t access own aircon. Onsen facilities large, clean and good (no tattoos allowed for ref) However, lots of facilities were closed, quite out of town but free shuttle available & shop on site. Restaurant manager very nice however breakfast receptionist quite rude, we were told 6.30 for breakfast but actually 7. Restaurant expensive so ended up eating out in the town and getting shuttle bus. Reception staff could have been a bit more helpful, but lots of guests to look after. Lots of tour groups here so bit of a cattle hotel, quite Corperate, not sure would recommend.

Far from town (has free shuttle service). Very traditional japanese. Would not stay here again (not because of hotel)... it's simply far from everything. If you're looking to spend all day at hotel it's OK.

Nice Onsen hotel, nice view with city. Quite and comfy. Room is big enough, but a bit old, TV doesn’t have much Chanels. A good place to have some rest and relax.

Nice hotel, nice staff, ordinary breakfast, no terrace in the room, so you can’t have fresh air while you are in your room. But very clean and great onsen, we used private onsen for 40 minutes 5000 ¥.with tax. Too expensive for 40 minutes onsen. So You can use hotel onsen which was free.

Rooms are comfortable. The floors are huge so you may have a long walk from the elevator to your room

Old but clean hotel. Staff friendly and efficient. Very Poor facilitation for dinner guest. If you do not book well in advance you miss out.

This is a meaningful resort for our family, we visited here 18 years ago, with my boy. We visit here this time with my boy and my girl, we all love the hot spring and nice view.

Nice Hotel with amazing views - be careful about the hotel shuttle which always leaves at 30 until 4pm - good breakfast until 10 but I recommend coming earlier

Clean and tidy hotel. Well-equipped rooms. Lobby and bar are excellent for having dinner.

Large rooms, comfortable beds, hot spring, clean, large selection of breakfast items, a little out of town but they run a shuttle bus every hour to the station, so that you can visit the attractions. Kaiseki was expensive but worth it.

Its location on the bhill off takayama city , interior decoration is western style but simplicity is japanese.there are Alp wing,Park wing and Spa wing.Souvenir shops sell local products, its own brand of moji stuffed with hazel nut, and indigo dyed cloths, scarves, hats, sake, keyrings, sarubobo dolls . Its onsen is also very nice for the view on 6th floor , separating between men and women.it's excellent service .Room is spacious with all comfortable facilities.

Nice hotel, a bit dated but with spacious rooms and a hot spring. There are no convenience stores nearby but there are plenty of food options within the hotel itself. The staff didn't speak excellent English when I was there but there were printed English instructions for almost everything. Traditional Hida breakfast was really great.

Hotel is out of town which is about 2km away down a steep hill, so shuttle bus is ideal for getting into and out of town. Hotel is quite large but is split between two buildings, confusing at start to navigate oneself about. Rooms are spacious and clean, bathroom had no walk in shower so getting into out of bath for shower difficult if disabled. Breakfast is buffet style with hot and cold food which caters for all taste. Al la carte menu for dinner is soooo expensive, so stick to the buffet which is highly recommended. Overall a very nice hotel.
