If you are visiting from abroad, do not stay here, there are plenty of other hotels at the Dead Sea. It was horrifying to see what kind of employees are hired at this hotel, who clearly have no hospitality training or education. I came here with my partner and booked the hotel in my name so naturally I brought my passport and credit card to have us checked in. When we came, they would not stop harassing my partner to show his foreign passport or else they would charge us 17% tax. This was so ridiculous as the booking was under my name and never have we been asked for the other guests' documents when staying at a hotel. It was clearly discrimination as they did not give any of this hassle of making the additional guests show their passports to the Israeli guests staying at the hotel. When we did not provide this as my partner does not bring his passport everywhere, so the man checking us in gave a number to call from their phone and completely left the front desk area. WE WERE LEFT STANDING ALONE, on hold with customer service which ended up telling us that we need to pay more than what we booked the room for online. When we asked them to speak to the employee checking us in, he was no where to be found. When he finally came back, we asked the customer service employee on the phone to call them and figure this out and they completely hung up the phone call. My partner got understandably irritated and they refused to check us in. The "employee" who was "helping" us said "I cannot check you in and I cannot cancel your reservation so just call this number." I do not speak Hebrew so I cannot call some number to figure it out and I told him this to which he shrugged his shoulders and walked away once again. It took 10 more minutes arguing with a supposed manager, who did not once step in, to get our reservation cancelled. Really, I felt they were a little bit racist as they basically ignored us even being there for half the time and only tended to the guests that are from Israel. One of the employees also claimed that he does not speak English when I was trying to speak with him, which was clearly a lie. We almost drove all the way there for absolutely nothing but thankfully Daniel Dead Sea Hotel was able to find us a wonderful room that same night and saved our trip!

I strongly advise against this hotel. We were invited by friends to celebrate the holidays in the green hotel a stone's throw from the dead sea, it was not a great idea. The service and the cleanliness was really disappointing and my wife stayed in bed for the three days after eating a chocolate cake.

A nightmare! No working AC in the rooms (we had 2 and both were shot) hotel is not capable of fixing anything, run far away, and save yourself the headache, Property itself is dated and old, there isn't enough parking, good luck trying to get any kind of service at this place, what a joke of a hotel! ( They offered to give me 50 percent off due to the non working AC issue, are you kidding me? $450 per night for a room without AC? Yeah give me 50 percent off... Now we're good 🤮) No bell service, cheap shampoo, There is nothing good about this hotel besides the location!

Great location, very nice facilities but bad service. They close the pools at 6:45pm every day. There's nothing on their website saying this. The dead sea is ‏scorching hot during the day so the evening is basically the only time you can enjoy yourself in the pool. They close it down so early you lose 3.5 hours of daylight. Why would they do this? If this was advertised on the website I'd choose a different hotel. Would not recommend

I have to say the beach and the location are amazing. Lobby is beautifu.l but the rooms need to be upgraded and rest of the service is horrible! the food is OK there is plenty but it's more like a luncheon style food. You must come with all your foreign passports with your party.

Where should I even start? These people really know how to ruin our holiday. We didn't see it coming. You should know that in Israel foreign tourists are exempt from paying 17% VAT for the hotel reservation, and Israelis are supposed to pay this tax. This is why it was forever the rule that if you are an Israeli and you travel with a non-Israeli, you book the room under the tourist's name. This time we arrived to Vert Dead Sea after making the reservation through an agent, and PAYING IN FULL UPFRONT!!! Little did we know, the hotel checks EVERYONE's passport or ID and forces those with Israeli IDs to pay 17% IN ADDITION to what we paid already. No one at the reception has a slightest idea about hospitality, how to talk to customers, everyone is busy with saying "it's not my fault", "it's not me, it's the government" etc. It took us some time to get to the reception manager, his name was Andrey. He tried to show us an excerpt from an Israeli law, but all that was written there is that if a foreign tourist books a hotel room, they should pay zero VAT, and show a proper reservation document. Nowhere in that excerpt there is anything about Israeli guests staying in the same room having to pay this tax, therefore there was absolutely no need to collect this tax, since the room was booked under the foreign tourist's name and we produced a proper reservation, as the law dictates. After it didn't work with Andrey, they sent us for some mysterious reason to talk to the person, whom you expect to see the least: a PR MANAGER of the hotel. I was shocked and I asked her, what was I even doing in her office? The PR manager didn't seem very interested to help either, so this conversation ended very fast, hence the 1-star review. I hope this review is helpful, don't go.

The booking was paid for 2 people in one room, the hotel wanted more money to have 2 people check-in. After we both went up to the room they sent security up after us to make sure there was only one person staying and proceeded to escort us to the front desk. Needless to say we didnt stay there and would NOT recommend.

I have been to a lot of hotels in my life but never with such bad service, not one worker had a smile on their face. I said good morning to some workers not one even responded, at the pool the lady at the bar was on her phone instead of serving us. Worst service I have got at a hotel. The club room I paid extra for, the rooms toilet did not flush and the sink was blocked and even worse the shower had no hot water. Before we needed to check out 11:00am the cleaner walked into our room even though it had a sign while we were at breakfast and just decided to start cleaning while stuff was still in the room , He stood in front of the door and blocked me from getting in to the room (this was at 10:30 am) I honestly think for the price I paid i did not get even close to what i thought..

Very bad experience. Pool side is dirty, the whole place looks neglected. The AC is weak, the elevators make nosies and don’t work properly. costumer service didn’t bother to return to me after complaining about weak air conditioner. The worst hotel i stayed in. Hope they will get better. The food wasn’t good. They charge extra for trivial things. The good The front desk people are kind, the view from the room is great and the location.

A huge and not new building that is run like an industry - for any small addition they charge extra. The hair dryer broke down, the tv malfunctioned, they write tv cables but it is not, twice in two days there was NO water in the tab. You can hardly flush the toilet. Everywhere, apart from breakfast, there is a sense that the hotel tries to save. In terms of service - they are too nice in words but hardly functional in action. They say they'll take care of something and forget. Finally, the prices are too high for what you get.

The room was comfortable but there was a problem with the door. By chance we discovered that it didn't lock when closed. It took a few attempts and slamming of the door to lock it. The door to the balcony was also problematic and very difficult to open and close. We were disappointed not to receive water bottles and robes in the room. The food was mediocre and there wasn't much variety. The waiters hovered by the tables and we even had plates removed before we were finished eating. Saturday night supper was disgraceful. Any basic amenities cost extra! We definitely didn't feel as though we got our money's worth.

When paying 700 US$ per night, one has a different expectation compare to a 150US$ per night. After couple of nights at the hotel, I definitely feel like VERT is a bad value for money. I should have read the many complaints before booking it. I should mainly have read the ridiculous answers that Meeray Touboul, the hotel owner, replies to many unhappy customers on Google's posts (probably she is tired of answering so many complaints) Rooms need serious renovation. Cleaning level was bad. Lots of fungal signs at the bathroom. Food was pretty bad and not many options for kids. The good thing is - there is McDonald across the street, where my kids could ate a proper McDonald food (I can believe I am saying that about McDonald) The positive - Spa was relatively good. the pool is large and also the lobby. Also the view is pretty good, because the location is just on the edge of the sea, but… When I visited beach was blocked for renovation. Hotel communicate the renovation are over, but when I arrived, the place looks like construction sight. I was in LOT hotel last year... Just100 meters away... Much better!

Definitely come! Wonderful hotel, right on the Dead Sea waterfront. You walk just past the hotel pool, and you are at the Dead Sea. Modern hotel, friendly service, clean room, and nice restaurant.

One of the nicer properties at the Dead Sea We spent a fun day there at the pool which was very clean and decent Few drink options Direct access to the sea (buy your own mud before)

Great location. Rooms are a bit outdated but the ones with the balcony have a great view to compensate. Food was good, lots of options. Too bad though that parking is insufficient and not included in the already premium price.

Was on a spa day family vacation. The spa is ok with indoor salted water pool, but the lockers they provide is just a joke. The buffet is mediocre, but the kids had fun

Excellent and quick check-in process. Ilana has been very friendly and knowledgeable. She provided a quick overview of the hotel's amenities, rules and answered all my questions. Ilana is really the best!

Service and food are great. But the rooms are awful. Room AC is barely ventilating. Considering the weather here it's hard to sleep in the room. Checkin is 3 checkout is 11. We stayed 1 night to have a go at the dead sea, and it feels like a complete rip-off

Nice 4-star hotel - excellent location with direct access to the beach (on the north end of Ein-Bokek, which is less crowded), and private hotel parking. The hotel itself is not "new", but the room with balcony was relatively specious and well maintained, with amazing views of the dead sea. Very nice breakfast and dinner (quality of food and selection). Friendly and helpful staff. The hotel was not too crowded during September weekdays

Bought a fun pass that included lunch and use of spa. Lunch was good. The pool is great. Access to the dead sea was great. Locker room and shower were good enough.

Great location I would even say the best location to visit the Dead Sea however for AUD500 I would expect better and cleaner room. I remember this hotel 25 years ago and I don’t think rooms have been renovated since. Shame on management to using and abusing location without investing in hotel facilities.

Our room was booked for 3 people, when we got to our room it was only setup for 2 people. We ended up getting upgraded after a screaming match with the front desk. The sheet doesn’t cover the entire mattress, when I showed the front desk they said “this is standard.” For $670 per night, I expect much better. Do not trust the photos the hotel posts online they do not accurately represent what the rooms truly look like.

Beautiful hotel with very large varieties of menu on their buffet. Great ambience, nice view with private balcony, spa, indoor pool and large outdoor pool. Children friendly and wheelchair accessible

This is a nice beachside hotel with direct access to the Dead Sea. All of the staff was helpful and friendly, particularly Lana who was assisting us with the check-in. The rooms were clean and spacious, and the balconies facing the water had a great view. We only stayed for one night, and the amenities and food met our expectations.

Front desk delibeberately screens passports of All the guests to see if any Israeli guests failed to pay the 17%VAT tax. Then they charged me the tax for my Israeli guest booked under my name with the current rate of the hotel room which is of course much higher presently than the fee I booked for few weeks ago. The Russian speaking manager, by the name, Andrey, argued with me for more than an hour, saying that he legally charges VAT tax at the current hotel rate and the hotel gets nothing from it as everything is paid to the government. I checked the VAT law on google and it said the tax from an Israeli citizen must only be taken from the total amount of transaction done by the person which is not what this hotel is doing and why would they be so eager to screen Israeli passports and check if VAT was paid or not. The hotel should gain nothing from the tax if all should go to the government. So, one might wonder, why would the hotel manager, Andrey, charges VAT tax from Israeli citizens at the current hotel rate and not the rate for what they have already paid when they did their booking. This was very upsetting and ruining my vacation mood. I hope he understands that it is illegal to do that. He finally returned VAT tax difference. But it is very low and degrading what these Russian speaking men front desk employees named by same name, Andrey, are doing to their guests.

Best thing about this hotel is the location. A short walk to a private beach and to the little shopping mall. The food is good, reception service needs more employees in rush hours. Too bad security doesn't do their job to prevent and fine smokers around the pool and public areas.

Everything throughout our stay was excellent. All of the staff was friendly and accommodating, especially Lana who was working at the front desk during our check-in. Although the air-conditioning in one of the rooms was working poorly, the staff was extremely efficient in addressing our concern and fixing the issue quickly. I recommend this hotel to anyone planning on visiting the Dead Sea as it has a direct beachside view and entrance.

Very good Hotel. The rooms are big, modern and you have beautiful view of the dead sea from all the rooms. The pool is big and there is good SPA facilities including salt pools etc. The lobby is big and there is lot of sofas which you can seat at. The dinner and breakfast were reach and good. At the hotel there is free parking although there is limited amount of them and if it is full there is a shuttele that will take you to a far (free parking lot free of charge. To summarize the hotel was great and I recommend it.

Vert ("Green") is the refurbished Crown Plaza, on the sea. We went with Lenny Davidman and are thoroughly impressed, very relaxed, took massages, wandered into the Sea, enjoyed heated indoor pools & jacuzzis, rented a bike with Sovoo bike rentals from the hotel (very convenient, d/l their program). One point about the other people at the hotel: half don't wear masks when supposed to, not even when you ask :-(. And of course there are signs all over and Lenny and others remind everyone. Let's hope next year when we come back with Lenny again, we won't need them!

Great stay wow, keep up the good work the food could be improved a little more the air conditioning was horrible but the reason this is still a 5 star rating is saud in the business lounge wow what a fantastic worker i will be coming back because of him and only him, everyone was nice and gave amazing service except he took it all to the next level making sure things were up to par with his own expectations of the place!

If you know of to appreciate how to do nothing, then, from any room of this hotel, you can dive in the blue of the breathtaking view on the dead sea, it will absorb all your problems and worries in an eye blick, the silence in the middle of the night brings you to the places dear to your heart. If u don't like meditation, all the activities of the hotel and around are waiting for you. Don't expect luxury but the hotel has been improving its services year after year. It is very decent to my eyes.
