Nice river view and helpful host. Though it could be a little bit cheaper especially during the raining season. Overall, it's pretty good.

Hace algunas semanas estuve buscando un alojamiento en Puerto Maldonado para poder disfrutar de la selva peruana durante mis vacaciones y conocí Sotupa Eco Lodge. He quedado sorprendido con la atención y servicio que me brindaron desde el primer día. El tour de cuatrimotos ha sido uno de los mejores que he podido experimentar, pues la adrenalina que viví desde inicio a fin ha sido increíble. Por ello, recomiendo este hotel en la Selva.

Ab von jeglicher Zivilisation genossen wir 4 Tage In der Lodge. Der Transport von der Stadt zum Hotel verlief einwandfrei, sowie abgemacht. Die Lodge war sauber, authentisch und sehr gemütlich. Wir hatten eine super Zeit und genossen es direkt neben dem Madre de Dios Fluss und den Jungelgeräuschen aufzuwachen.

En Sotupa disfruté de las mejores vacaciones junto a mi familia. Es un hotel hermoso y el ambiente es bastante agradable. Las vistas desde las habitaciones son bellísimas y la decoración complementa el estilo del lugar. El personal fue muy amable en todo momento, totalmente recomendado. ¡Volveré en las próximas vacaciones!

En Sotupa tuve la mejor experiencia en Puerto Maldonado. Es un lugar asombroso ubicado en medio de la naturaleza donde disfruté de las mejores vacaciones. Con mis amigos, optamos por el paquete Sandoval Premium con el que tuvimos aventuras muy emocionantes mientras disfrutábamos de los paisajes más hermosos. ¡Lo recomiendo completamente!

Loved it here!! Cero was an outstanding guide, and the entire staff was super friendly and helpful. The rooms were really nice and the food was amazing. The pool was clean and refreshing on hot days. My husband got sick for a day and Juan the manager went at 6 AM to get him medicine (which worked). I really have no complaints and highly recommend!

The best place for vacation

¡Excelente lugar! Hemos podido descansar y conectarnos con la naturaleza. Los paisajes y guias son de primera. Las habitaciones muy bonitas y bien ambientadas. Conocer el paraíso de Tambopata y alojarse en Sotupa ha sido una excelente decisión. Los recomendamos

Bellissima oasi a circa 30 minuti di auto da Puerto maldonado. I punti forti sono la bellissima vista sul fiume, i deliziosi piatti di Kevin, la guida Ciro che ci ha accompagnato in ogni attività compresa nel prezzo del soggiorno. Bungalows molto belli con vista eccezionale, pulizia da migliorare.

My stay here was amazing! The location is fantastic, you are only a 20-30min drive from the airport but you feel like you’re in the middle of the jungle. The views are stunning and the accommodation perfect and much better than I expected and are of a good standard. The staff are what made my stay perfect though. The guide, Ciro (I hope I’m spelling that right) was amazing. So knowledgeable and made everything really interesting. He’s the best guide I’ve met and he’s got some great ideas for future activities. I recommend doing all of the activities, they were all great but the night walk was a highlight for me. The new manager George was amazing as well and made me feel at home and part of the family there. It was my birthday whilst I was there and him and their staff member Alan helped make it one of the best birthdays I’ve had. I can’t wait to see what new ideas and activities George and Ciro come up with but I would definitely love to visit again to see how they get on. I wish I had known in advance that you could do Ayahuasca here as I would have loved to have done that here but I didn’t see any information on this on the advert. Maybe next time 😉 I loved this place and didn’t want to leave ☺️ Helpful information for travellers; - They provide boots for the walks through the jungle so only bring hiking boots if you are planning to hike elsewhere - All meals were included in my stay, the food is basic but good and you had a healthy breakfast followed by 3 courses for lunch and dinner. They also catered for my dietary requirements. The chef did try a few things on the last couple of nights and it was a great improvement (he’s a friendly guy) - The room has a ceiling fan and a freestanding fan which helped in the humidity but be prepared to be sweating the whole time, it’s the Amazon! - Bring long sleeved loose items for the walks and hiking trousers or similar otherwise you will be a buffet for mosquitoes - The mosquitos and bugs in general were not as bad as I was expecting but definitely bring some repellent and after bite treatment just in case - The WiFi was available in the communal areas and was good! - There is a freestanding pool there which is great for any downtime - Most activities last between 1-3hrs so you can do a couple in a day if you want or have plenty of time to just chill - if you need quiet to sleep, bring some earplugs. I loved falling asleep to the sound of the jungle though 😃

This is the best value proposition to visit Tambopata! Great place, best views of the Tambopata River, excellent activities, tour guides are top … and don’t forget to ask George , the manager for free “agua ardiente” shots !!
