We spent 4 days and 3 nights here and had the most amazing experience. The entire staff is friendly, accommodating, and passionate about what they do. Boris (AKA “Jungle Boy”) was our guide, and he was fantastic. He taught us so much about Tambopata and showed us wildlife including the beautiful macaws, capybaras, a 3-toed sloth, and more. The night walk was particularly special, as you see sights you’d miss during the day. I highly recommend Refugio Amazonas!

We spent three nights four days at the lodge It’s a lovely place, nice rooms open to the forest with great staff, food and excellent cocktails We saw many animals around the lodge but so many more with our fab guide Harry who was a brilliant spotter, very knowledgable and clearly loves his job. There is a menu of activities which you can decide on with your guides advice Highly recommended this place.

The resort was beautiful. The service was beyond amazing. The food was delicious. When I wasn't feeling well (because of the heat) they even made me soup and repeatedly checked on me. Yes the jungle is hot... Our guide Jordie was superb. He could spot an animal behind his back with his eyes closed. Also he always managed to find something to look at right about when we would need a break from walking.

Great place to stay. 3 walled room opening into the jungle. No bugs in room during the day and beds covered with mosquito netting. Toiletries provided and clean bathroom facilities in room. Lodge itself requires you to not wear outdoor shoes which is great. Hardwood flooring and clean lobby area. Shop for buying a few essentials or gifts and fully stocked bar with some interesting jungle inspired cocktails!

Very nice place to experience Peruvian Amazonas. The stuff here is awesome. There are welcoming, helpful and well informed with the animals and small trips towards the inside of real amazon rainforest. Yes you can join night walk, bird and mammal clay licking tour by boat, lake tour, bird watch tour etc. there are monkeys and different kind of birds nearby. The food was super! You can choose whatever you want from buffet. Of course it is not 5star hotel but I love taste here.

We (a group of three adults and two kids) loved every single minute of our stay here. Everything is well organized, the food is amazing and there's a lot of different activities to choose from and that are suitable for kids. And on top of that, it is environmentally friendly and has a CO2 neutral approach. I highly recommend this place and the Rainforest Expeditions crew.

What an amazing place! Went with my family for four days and it was fantastic. The rooms are clean, comfortable and with open floor plans. Since you arrive a guide is assigned to accompany you during your stay. The meals were great and there was never a dull moment with several activities to choose from. Scientists are on site, and have much to share. You will see plenty of flora and fauna.

This a lovely lodge surrounded by nature and with full amenities. Super clean, well-organised daily activities with professional and friendly guides, interesting evening presentations on various habitats of the rainforest by the loveliest scientist who has a real passion for her subject and overall a great team that makes you feel welcome, takes care of the place and offers tasty meals. If you’re looking for the safest possible version of experiencing the rainforest, by all means book yourself in (fantastic choice for families, mature travellers and first-timers). A big plus of the rooms is the fact that they’re wide open to the nature where you can relax and fall asleep listening to all kinds of sounds of the rainforest but also casually see from your hammock lovely marsupials wondering around, colourful birds chirping in the trees and different kinds of monkeys! Absolutely loved my time in that part of Peru and would highly recommend for anyone who is active and wants to consider longer hikes and even more activities in nature to possibly combine this ecolodge with TRC too. Also worth staying in the area for nothing less than 5days as this is the minimum it takes to adjust and enjoy everything at pace. Fun fact, during my stay (13-18 November) there were lots of harmless insects but no mosquitoes!! On the flip side you can’t wander around on your own as it can be tricky with wildlife and there’s no entertainment in general or in the evenings after dinner as it is essential to sleep early in order to be able to wake up in a timely manner for morning activities. It would also be nice to be a bit less westernised and more Peruvian but then again I suppose you can’t have everything.

I had an amazing time here. I was traveling solo and did 4 days/3 nights through Inca Expert Travel. It was an unforgettable experience! I opted for a group tour for the excursions and am glad I did. Our guide, Boris, was fantastic and made sure we saw as much wildlife as possible. I can't say enough good things about him. The rest of the staff were also very kind. I enjoyed the large variety of fresh food at each meal. I felt safe and well-taken care of the entire time.
