My family and I were on a vacation and we researched coffee shops in the Tampa area. This coffee shop took it to another level! The espresso and macchiato were on point and delicious. We also got the chocolate croissant toasted and it was pure perfection. Great experience and an awesome chill vibe to do some work or relax. Thank you for a great experience.

First impression was; wow, what a large and spacious coffee shop. It’s clearly large enough to be a casual dining restaurant; but the atmosphere is spacious, open, and inviting. The house black coffee was great, I had a madeleine pastry along with it and that was delicious. Will visit more often.

First and last time that we go to this location. The coffee is average but the service 👎🏻 Went with my husband and we ordered our coffees with some pastries, when I tasted my coffee I noticed that I wanted it stronger so my husband went to order and pay for an extra shot. The employee told him “no worry I’ll take care of it” my husband responded “are you sure?” and the employee responded “Yes”. My husband returned to the table and the lady that was there making coffees I’m assuming she’s the barista shouted from the counter “Sir do you want an extra shot? You have to pay for that”… shouted that like we were looking for free extra shots. Very rude and disrespectful, she needs to learn some manners. We are coffee lovers and we like to try new spots around Tampa, and this was a disappointment. I’m literally leaving the place while writing this review.

Jenna and Chelsey always make me and my service dog feel welcome. The coffee is delish and they always bring my order to my table, which is super helpful so I don’t have to wrangle dog and coffee

My favorite coffee shop in South Tampa! Boy, do I miss it...The coffee is very good and definitely a step above anything Starsucks delivers. The energy in the shop is calm. The employees also remembered me, as I was a regular. All in all, this is what I expect a coffee shop to be. I am glad that I bought a pair of their signature mugs and plates before I moved out of Tampa. I will return Kahwa...one day. *Edit I may very well do that! Thanks! FYI, I used to stop in 3 to 4 times a week for 3 years...I miss the habit!

I like it better when this place was a Wendy’s. The girl working yesterday morning 03/06/2023 is insanely lazy, apathetic, and rude; on the phone and in person. All of the drinks were gross. The food had less preparation and effort to put together properly than a McDouble full of items you requested to specifically not have on it. I can’t speak about this chain but I can about this location. If you wanna charge Starbucks prices, maybe have some Starbucks quality and customer service. Had that girl been the slightest bit decent or the quality of the drinks & food had been a bit better, my office would have made this place a regular work run.

Mediocre at best. The owners have done a perfect job of hiring a consulting firm to scale their business and wipe every ounce of personality and character. I am giving 3 stars because they have real cups and saucers and plates- offering a non to-go option is a nice touch and a nod towards reducing single use containers. Also, vegan options which is awesome. Not so awesome was my cappuccino. It was flat and boring- not thick, foamed and creamy- and my breakfast croissant was clearly a day old croissant with a airport taste and feel. I am disappointed as I just moved to Tampa and want to support local businesses. I won't be back.

My favorite coffee shop! The coffee is smooth, balanced and so much better than Starbucks and all the other local coffee shops. The egg & cheese croissant is the best breakfast sandwich on the planet. The service is usually stellar, but like everyone, there are some bad days, but they always make it right. I wish they had regular chocolate chip cookies that HAD dairy & gluten, but I'll live. 🙃

If I could I would give zero stars. we ordered 4 croissants and two coffees, the sandwiches arrived at the table quickly, the coffee didn't arrive until 15 minutes later just because we made a complaint. all baristas are very lazy, if i had known i would not have given the amount of tip i did. I will never go back, it ruined my breakfast.

Best coffee shop around imo! When I don’t have time to make my own at home, this is the only place I’ll come to. STARBUCKS IS LITERALLY TRASH compared to Kahwa! Flavors aren’t even close! I come here all the time and they always do a great job with my drink, they’re always nice… Jasmine, Kenzie, Nate, Katherine, and Kira always hold it down! There is no Kahwa without them, believe that! Most likely would’ve never came back if it wasn’t for them! Stay up y’all!

I like the somewhat quieter atmosphere with a more subtle jazz classical type music compared to the loud music played at all starbucks now. The double espresso is delicious too!

Outstanding coffee. Love the flavor and depth of taste. Also have started buying my ground coffee here too. Highly recommend.

Great, flavorful coffee! I’d much rather give Kahwa my business than the major chains. Drive thru is a big +. Will be back!

Awesome coffee and treats, great prices, and lovely service and atmosphere. I love that they have indoor and outdoor seating and it is spacious and chill. One of my favourite spots in Downtown Tampa.

Been here twice. Both times the drive thru took so long at a time it should not have been. The car in front of me even drove off when no one responded at the drive thru window. I waited 8 minutes at the window for my coffee and it had been made hot instead of iced. The guy looked at me like I had 3 heads so confused. No big deal. They fixed it. I asked for a straw, she disappeared for about a minute came back and asked “what did you ask for”. Just seems really unorganized and unfortunately the drinks aren’t good enough for such a long wait and orders not being made correctly.

I love this place for coffee, they sell coffee that actually tastes like coffee and not a sugary smack in the mouth. My go-to is a hot caramel latte. It has a subtle sweet flavor and always hits the spot.

I had an issue with my Uber order today and a few before today as well. Instead of going online I called and spoke to the sweet manager to converse about this issues in hopes of them being corrected in future. Mistakes happen and we are all human. The manager was super sweet and kind, and truly listened to the issues I had and went above and beyond to make it right. I will continue ordering from them strictly on how amazing the service was in making it right. So my note to anyone who wants to bash a business on a small and simple mistake take the time to call and have a conversation. These reviews and make or break local businesses. So thank you!

For the Friday morning I was looking for a coffee shop along with the quick breakfast. So I decided to have coffee and breakfast at Kahwa Coffee. I decided to do a drive through the cafe. For the order I ordered Cafe Mocha, Chai Tea Latte, Croissant and Egg & Cheese Croissant Sandwich. I got the order quickly in 5 minutes. The mocha coffee was hot and freshly brewed. The chai tea latte was hot and freshly made. We also liked both the croissant. They were hot and toasted. Loved the hot food as well as the quick service.

Tried their new drink Pink Fizz - raspberry flavored syrup shaken with sparkling water, coconut milk, and berry inclusions - and loved it! Lots of easy parking and plenty of seating options inside.

I love coming and spending time here > great atmosphere and lots of quietness for studying, doing homework, office-related tasks, etc. Definitely recommend grabbing a cup of Joe and spending an hour, or two here! 😊

Drinks are delicious, I order for pickup ahead, and the girl at the front says my order is not in although i showed her the number...finally someone else comes with the drinks. The girl in front didnt even bothered to check if my order was maybe in process...if you go to drive-thru the person you order to is asking you for tip...just weird!

I work really close by, but have never stopped in until recently. I've been kicking myself ever since. The coffee's we had were absolutely delicious, and the cold brew growler made for great work week fuel. Pricing is reasonable, coffee is smooth and satisfying, and the pastries were great too! Definitely will be back to fill the growler and get some snacks.

Convenient location, pleasant staff and quality coffee/ lattes. Despite being relatively busy, there was little to no wait and my drink was perfect.

Kahwa is far superior to that other overblown caffeine emporium. The space isn’t full of pretentiousness but a few couches, tables with their chairs. An open floor plan with plenty of sunlight

I’ve been coming to kahwa (various locations for years). Over the past couple years, specifically recently, the breakfast sandwiches are just awful. They don’t cook/prepare them the way they used to and it’s a 50/50 gamble. When they are made properly, it is to die for, and I’ve been eating them for years. It’s frustrating because there is really no where else to get a good croissant sandwich. Also, never order more than one croissant sandwich- it seems as though they all get put into the microwave together and are not cooked evenly. I ordered three sandwiches for my husband and I yesterday and they were all – literally – cold and hard. The cheese tasted like it was straight out of the fridge. This scenario has happened nearly every time we order more than one sandwich and we use the drive thru and don’t have time to come inside to have it fixed. On the bright side, I don’t drink coffee anymore, but when I did, I loved kahwa’s hot lattes. Certain drinks aren’t that great but the small hot lattes were always great!

I ordered the Harvest Chai Caramel Apple Butter Latte (iced) with Almond milk and a shot of espresso. I usually don't like sweet drinks, but this one is delicious! Their decor is very modern and minimalist at the same time. It is such a quiet and peaceful place. I'll definitely be back here to study with some coffee.

LOVE Kahwa! I went to Starbucks for the longest time because it’s closer to my home, but I started going to Kahwa to support local businesses—and I’m glad I did! The coffee is outstanding, the staff is wonderful (Jasmine and Maddie are always so friendly), and there is almost always adequate seating if you need work space or a table to have a conversation. I encourage everyone to shop local and get your morning coffee fix at Kahwa!

I commend Kahea for their excellent coffee, friendly staff, and calm ambiance. My only friendly comment is that I hope in the future Kahwa can have the option to offer different kinds of healthier white, brown, and other types of breads 🍞 for their sandwichs. Thank you.

They do not understand the fine art that is coffee. They need to send their employees or managers to Seattle for a bit to train or something. I miss coffee stands from Seattle. I was hoping to find a gem. I was very very disappointed. Won't be returning. Edit: The peppermint mocha we ordered was atrocious. The coffee shot tasted old. The milk was tasted burnt. There was very little peppermint flavor added. They didn't offer Breve. My nitro cold brew was stale and old tasting. And had absolutely no flavor.
