Unfortunately I can’t say anything about the hostel itself but I still want people to be aware about this. I was about to volunteer in this hostel and the owner agreed on the dates nearly two months before my stay. Volunteer means that I was supposed to work there and get a bed for 4 weeks in exchange. I booked my flights and was really excited as the hostel seemed to have a good review and the owner seemed to be friendly at first. Unfortunately it just seemed like this because not even 24 hours before they canceled on me without a reasonable justification and I was expected to stay in Tel Aviv without a place to stay. So I had to cancel my long awaited trip. A total scam and I would not recommend this hostel at all.

THEY GIVE DISCOUNTS FOR A GOOD REVIEW, so don't trust it!! Used to work in this hostel for 2 months as a volunteer, and here's some facts about "Roger's". I was amazed by house (beautiful villa inside, no view), but the rest was a disaster. First of all, they don't wash half of bed sheets, especially in vans, just spraying it with "fresh" aroma. Second is cockroaches everywhere (try not to find them in your bag!). Third is beer: it's 1/3 water for regular price. Last but not least is the owner: "Wash yourself, and I will look" - this was his phrase to my 20y.o. colleague, who was embarrassed to down. I was whitness for one of the guests fell down from a bad stairs from a van. The owner.. just asked not to report it anywhere. Why is this all happening? As even the repairing is done by.. volunteers! If i was paying for that, i would find something more clean & cozy. P.S. And yes, Roger is watching you.

Great hostel in the center of tel aviv, close to a nice park and 10min away from the beach. The hostel is run by super friendly, amazing volounteers that make the atmosphere fun! I had the pleasure to stay here for Shabbat and partecipate to the typical jewish dinner with the rest of the guests, I highly recommend this experience. Thanks Roger! ✨

I really want to write a long post about my experience at this establishment but I don't want to waste my time on "Roger" but if you go to all the one star reviews you will get an exact picture of what you will be dealing with. Not only is the building not upkept and you can find bugs under your blankets but any money spent here is going into the pocket of a real nasty person.

Pretty decent stay. Good location close to Jaffa and beaches, while being able to easily walk to downtown area. Showers are warm and there is a good size kitchen to use. Wasn't any social atmosphere when I stayed there, but may have just been the timing.

Couldn’t recommend more! Friendly staff since the moment I walked in when I was greeted by some raunchy jokes! The loving staff was amazing Audrée gave me a great tour all around the whole hostel! The on site laundry room was a great great amenity otherwise I wouldn't have clothes to walk around in and the showers were always free! You meet so many cool people in the common areas and even in the bathroom too! Rodgers house! More like Audrées House!!

This place is amazing! I’ve been to a lot of cool hostels around the world and had nice experiences but this was special. I felt welcome from the moment I entered and made several fun friends during my stay. I especially want to mention L. who has only recently joined the staff of the hostel and is one of the most most fun, warm and welcoming people I’ve met on my travels.

I loved my stay at Rogers house! The vibe at this hostel is amazing, I got to know many people from all around the world. You would sit outside on the patio and just talk to people, play cards or go to the beach together. Sometimes there are also free pancakes :) One can easily say that the owner puts his heart into this place and wants his guests to feel welcome and also safe at any time. I definetely would recommend this hostel to other people!

My stay was in April 2022 The staff (volunteers) prefer to interact with guests drinking alcohol, eating and talking rather than keep the place clean and organized. Dirty bathrooms, kitchen, rooms, blankets, living rooms, couches, etc while the volunteers were having fun with guests. The place felt humid from wet towels and lack of A/C I have to also say most pf the people were nice, but you don’t pay only for nice people, you also want a comfortable place to stay Not worth the high price

The place as a very homely and welcoming atmosphere. Big kitchen and many international travelers! Very affordable and yet well maintained and clean. Had a good time.

This hostel was fine considering the price. It did smell a bit musty in the hallway. What I liked about the rooms, was that the bunk beds had curtains for more privacy. The location was also great; near the beach and near the lively neighbourhood Florentine.

Firstly, the staff, there was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. A great atmosphere with other travellers, a good mix of people. The communal living area and kitchen were well-equipped. Cleaning could be a little bit better. There was run marks running down the wall beside my bunkbed I think we have a fair idea of what that was skirting boards in the bedroom was a bit dirty The electric was a little bit temperamental. And also the gas was off one morning in the kitchen, making it difficult to cook eggs. All in all though I think we could go back again, if ever in Israel. The staff really did make this place worth going to. They are a credit to Rogers. Luke brook and Malik

I recently had the displeasure of staying at Caravan Hostel Tel Aviv and it was an absolute nightmare. The hostel boasts about its unique accommodation in vintage caravans, but the reality is that they are broken down and poorly maintained. It was evident from the moment I arrived that this place was not worth the money. The staff tried to solve my problem but couldn’t really solve it and made a Temporary solution. Overall, I found Caravan Hostel Tel Aviv to be a complete waste of money. The services provided were below average, I would strongly advise anyone considering this hostel to look elsewhere for a better experience. Save yourself the hassle and choose a place that is worth your money.

The hostel is nice, but the area around it is very ugly. Apart from it everything is OK! friendly and helpful staff and clean rooms with a fairly comfortable bed

I was here for a single night and I made it quick. I arrived early, was told I needed my passport to get in. Infuriating, I had to have someone bring it over and spent the next 3 hours waiting outside. When I got to the room, it was fairly nice. Beds were better than avraham hostel nearby and the place was fairly clean. What really cost it the rating was that the sheets they gave me had blood spots on them.

The staff (specifically Kaity, Gabriella and alejandro) were beyond friendly and helpful. From bed arrangements to towels etc, they did any and everything possible to help with a warm smile on their faces. The sleeping arrangements were real nice, with a curtain and enough USB and outlet space to charge all electronics necessary. Food was great as well. Thank you all who made my stay so wonderful and can’t wait till next time!

The best hostel in TLV 💫 With the most adorable personnel I’m very glad I met 💕 The location is close to Florentin, the beach, Jaffa and Kuli Alma. They also propose a great coffee shop on the other side of the building ☕️ Totally recommend this place!

Had an absolute blast at Rogers House this summer. The shared living area is fun, aesthetically beautiful, and has a great patio. Also, the location is incredible as it’s a 5 min walk to beach and 5 min walk to a strip of great restaurants.

We really enjoyed our stay, although it was way too short. The bed in the dorms have curtains, a shelf and a socket (what more can you wish for?). The kitchen has all the stuff you need and the showers are warm and clean. The owner is a nice guy. He helped us a lot with booking the next hostel and he is just a fun guy to talk to. If we come back to TLV we definitely stay here again. Cu soon!

Conveniently located it is not in the nicest neighborhood but close to Florentine –the cool area. In terms of cleanliness it is doing the basics fine but don't expect more. Everything was working and DIY which makes it interesting and probably more of place to go if you are young. For a double bedroom I spent 400 shekels for 2 nights which was pretty good compared to other places around Didn't notice more noise than in any other hostel. In short, if you can't find a nice hotel in the city centre at this price then Roger's house if definitely a good option.

Perfect hostel with alternative vibe. A big thank you to the volunteers Cosmo, Antonio and the rest.

I lived here for 2 months with my summer program. I had an absolutely amazing experience. The area is beautiful, safe, and convenient. Lior and the rest of the staff are so incredibly charismatic and accommodating. The staff is extremely friendly and love to chat. Highly, highly recommend staying here: #1 hostel in Tel Aviv!

I had the best summer of my life staying in this hostel, in no small part thanks to the excellent location and accommodations here, as well as the hospitality of Roger (Lior) himself. He helped us navigate the neighborhood and find all the best clubs, bars, and restaurants to go to. Would fully recommend staying here to maximize your time in Tel Aviv in a safe, fun, and comfortable setting.

Not recommended at all! Unhelpful and unfriendly attitude and Unclean place. In addition, the hostel isn't in a tourist area, so this forces you to take a bus to the sea, restaurants etc.

Roger’s house is such a fun place to stay. I was here on a group trip for the summer and he was super accommodating to our needs. Roger helped plan so many fun activities for the large group, assisted with recommendations, and has great food in the café outside.

Very nice place. Central and close to the Carmel Market and a small walk away from the beach. Nice staff, clean hostel and good common areas. The kitchen is well equipped and spacious. The beds have curtains and lockers.

Lior created an amazing environment in the hostel! I stayed here for two months with my summer program and loved every second of it. It’s in such a nice area. The workers are very hospitable and will do anything to make your stay incredible. Highly recommend staying at the #1 hostel in TLV!!

Good vibes, good staff, good location, although I imagine the local brothel is cleaner than this hostel...

Such an amazing hostel! It immediately feels like home. Great location in the city, close to the beach, to jaffa and to all the bars and clubs. The hostel has a super social vibe and they do cool activities like shabbat dinner or karaoke night organized by the volunteers (they get the party started). Also there is a very nice outside area with a cafe that belongs to the hostel.

A nice place to stay if you're on a budget. You will meet some lovely people here and use this as a base. The place is a little run down, it needs some investment in my view. However, it is very clean and tidy. WiFi good, showers good, pay for laundry, close to shops etc....

Very nice and young staff. Cleanliness is okay but not outstanding. There is one large community bathroom and a kitchen, as well as a living area. Everything is giving off very much 70s and hippi vibes. Many young people are staying there. The beach is nearby and the Jaffa flea market is in walking distance

His Name his not Roger, His name is Lior, and he harrased a tourist from germany named sarra Four years ago, that also stayed at the hostel for a few days in the beach. I have all the info and the wittnesses if you want. don't stay there. it's an awful place.

The kitchen is so nice and big! Tons of areas to sit and relax, or to get some work done. Me and some friends stayed in one of their private rooms. It wasn’t nice, but it was doable. The sheets were clean and the room was private. The air conditioning unit kept going off though unfortunately. The bathrooms were pretty clean, but heard some people having relations in the shower so decided not to use it. The communal areas were filled with books, musical instruments, and games. The area is great and is only a short walk away from the bar street and the central Florentine area. Overall great for the price and quality. Would definitely stay here again, but book in advance since spots fill up fast!

Wonderful hostel with a nice, friendly atmosphere, very easy to connect with other travellers, as there are many solo travellers and volunteers, that give the place an atmosphere of home and community. The price was cheaper compared to any othe hostel, but standards were not lower. The beach is in walking distance, just as most other interesting points to visit in Tel Aviv, which is great.

The best in Tel Aviv! Bathrooms and rooms are clean, good air conditioning, and chill and social atmosphere! Also it’s right by florentine and Jaffa which are the best spots.
