בהתאם לדעה הרווחת, ביתו של אהרון שלוש הינו הבית הראשון שנבנה בסמוך לשכונת נווה צדק העתידית. בסביבות שנת 1884 בנה אהרון שלוש, איש עסקים יהודי אמיד וממנהיגי הקהילה היהודית ביפו, את ביתו במגרש גדול על גבעות החול מצפון מזרח ליפו, בכך היה החלוץ בהקמת שכונת נווה צדק.

The place was built 100 years ago and has been under renovation for 162 years... a building with huge potential that significantly enriches the special neighborhood. Sometimes, a country needs to think about more significant measures to solve a historical complex.

A historic building built by Aharon Shloush, one of the founders of the Jewish community in Jaffa and who laid the foundations for the establishment of the Neve Tzedek neighborhood and the neighborhoods adjacent to it, which formed the basis for the establishment of the nearby Beit Estate in Tel Aviv. The building is enormous in dimensions and indicates the wealth and financial strength of Aharon Shloush. Next to the building he built a synagogue for the residents of the neighborhood with a Torah scroll in memory of his stepbrother. The building is currently in the process of preservation and is an attraction for travelers in the Neve Tzedek neighborhood.
