Cute restaurant with a variety of Indian food, the serving dishes in the restaurant are authentic and give a feeling of India, the restaurant has good service. Indian food is adapted to the Israeli taste, so it is less spicy than Indian food, the dishes are delicious but lack more flavor and will be excellent. The ambala tahini is an amazing, the samosa sauce was great, vegearian curry nice.

It was tasty, the service was good and pleasant. They selled meat which was wierd for Indian food and shows that it’s not authentic.

Small place with terrace. Indian food is normal, not really taste as Indian food. Expensive for what they offer you. Cheese Ann bread for 26nls, Dashli per 68... We were 2 and pay almost 200

Menu is ok. Cost little up but food quality and ambience wise good deal. Taste average to good. We tried onion bhaja (Kanda bhajia) which was good, samosa was average and served with not that spicy chole, masala dosa was also ok..sambhar was better. No coconut chutney served here..but other chutneys and dips were just nice. Only disappointed with pav bhaji...what they serve actually is a burger bun with two onion pakoda (fritters) and a little cooked cabbage (pattagobhi) in it. This is not at all pav bhaji. Overall good place. Satisfied with food taste and presentation except pav bhaji..dnt order that if you are looking for anything near it too. Other items tried were fine. Will go back for main course to try out.

Great atmosphere, very tasty food. We were a party of 3 and very enjoyed our dinner. The starters were awesome better than the main courses which were great 😉 We will definitely come again!!

If you are really hungry I would highly recommend, the servings are huge! They had a good variety of Indian food, and had a few vegan options.

Delivery review: Food was excellent, fresh, delicious and warm. Everything was neatly packed, no accidents or spillage occured. Food's portion was as expected, good value for money. Very recommend the chicken thali dish and the chicken dosa (a bit spicy):)

One of my favorite restaurants in Tel Aviv. It’s so nice sitting outside on Nahalat Benyamin and enjoying the vibrant atmosphere around you. The service was so friendly and really fast. The whole atmosphere of the restaurant is very romantic and inviting to sit longer. Plenty of vegetarian, vegan and non-vegan options to choose from. Highly recommend the Ma Pau Salad and the Mango Lassi.

It was a pleasant surprise to find Ma-Pau on our last afternoon in Israel. The owner , Israel was quite gracious enough to ask us to sot inside in the sweltering heat. The menu is small but we had chicken curry with Rotis, and Chicken Tikka with Rotis. The portion size is huge and also included are the starters, we chose chicken samosa and onion bhaja. The thali (plate) was reminiscent of the Maharashtrian food from Mumbai. The food was very delicious, the owner was very friendly, and overall a good place to eat, good value for your money.

This is a takeout review since COVID-19 is happening right now.. the food from Ma Pau was incredible!! Every bite was full of flavor and it felt like real authentic Indian food. The prices and the portion sizes were super fair, the whole order lasted for two meals for us. We ordered everything vegan. Some Chapati, Alu gobi, vegetables in curry, samosa and bahaja onion. Would definitely recommend ordering from them but I’m sure the place itself is also amazing and nice to sit at. Whenever I’ll get a chance I’ll go there and edit this review.

The food quality is good but the taste isn’t as good as I expected. It’s not bad though. Kinda pricy. Overall a good place.

Excellent Indian food. A really delicious variety of plates typical of the Indian cuisine, including great starters and main dishes that cannot leave you unsatisfied afterwards. Prices are definitely reasonable considering the Israeli standard of restaurants. I would have given the restaurant a five-star rating if the place was fully accessible - bathroom is upstairs, and even the inside has a single step required to enter. Another issue is that the place is small and also crowded. We were seated outside, which is not a problem in itself, however, delivery workers were passing right around us, which causes a small inconvenience. Bottom line - I highly recommend to anyone who would like to have great Indian food to visit the place, despite the shortcomings.

The food was nice (I liked the chicken tikka masala, the chicken curry and the samosas), but the service was abysmal. It took them around 15 minutes to even approach us. They crammed us in a small table in between giant pots and right next to the bike lane. First they forgot to bring us plates. Then they forgot one of the starters (it only came after the mains, and it was one naan... A bit skimpy of them relatively to the price). It took forever to order dessert because the waiting staff is mostly busy talking to each other and ignoring you. It took them 20 more minutes to get the banana banoffee, which just seemed like a mediocre biscuit cake covered by a layer of coconut. After having complained the waitress complained about us not wanting to tip them because "we got our food". Ironically and hilariously, we found out after that that my credit card was lost by them. Luckily they eventually found it. Was shocked to see such bad service in such a small place.

Sat inside for dinner. We ordered a chicken thali for two people and a beer. After we were served we finished our food and drinks without ever seeing our waitress again. She completely forgot about us. Waited a while to see if anyone would check on us for more drinks or food, but nobody came. Ended up walking up to the bar to pay so we could leave. Really bizarre experience because the table beside us looked like they were having a fantastic time, served a ton of food and drinks. Really bizarre experience but would not recommend and would not return based on poor service.

Authentic smells and atmosphere, great service and I really enjoy most of their dishes… the chai at the end was heavenly and brought me back to the streets of India….

Literally the worst Indian food I’ve had in my entire life. Chicken Tikka Masala tasted like it was out of a jar - no flavor whatsoever The tikka pao had chicken that was so incredibly dry we couldn’t finish it The naan bread was cooked in a pizza oven…. I would recommend staying away from here if you enjoy Indian food.

Firstly as soon as we entered we were put in the corner most table even after having multiple places available at the restaurant and were forgotten about had to actually go to the waiter 4 times to ask to serve us even the most basic thing like water and the manager started yelling at us and asked me to calm down and while he spoke rudely In Front of the other guests also did not get any kind of discount or even a sorry for the poor service. It a placemat be with good food but with rude people working there.

food was delicious, vibe was charming. I ordered paneer and it was delicious. Huge portions, with a nice variety of side dishes. Naan was a bit disappointing- it was pita rather than naan. Still delicious though! Overall I would definitely return!

Good if you love indian food and you are around but not something to travel out of your area. It was just ordinary. Good service. Panir cheese claimed to be produced in the restaurant is just not as tasty as I found in other places.

Great spot for Indian food, service was friendly and helpful, loved the vibe and decor. Spicy? Not that much 😋, ask for the waiter advice about it and they will point you to your best option.

Simple place with indian type music, small tables. Service ok. Food was just ok but large portions. Average price for tel aviv. I only gave 2 stars because i'm not very fond of this cuisine. Perhaps they deserve 3 stars.

Great Indian food. The fish birani is excellent

  • 1/5 Alon E. 2 years ago on Google
The curry was bland and tasteless and the Naan was not Naan. It was doughy and unpleasant to eat. The rice was the best part but it was just rice.

Ma Pau is an Indian cuisine restaurant. If you are looking for a good Indian restaurant then go here. The food tastes much closer to the Indian cuisine.

I loved this little family-owned restaurant. The food ìs just delicious. It is not at all pretentious and sitting outside, you just soak up the Tel Aviv scene and atmosphere. The municipality closes the street to cars so only light transportation goes by, and many pedestrians. Service was great and we were given a delicious dessert on the house because they liked us! (although there was one waiter we made sure we did not get service from 🙄 - but maybe he was just on an off day....can happen to the best of us!!!). Prices are very very fair. Will I go again? Most definitely!!!
