Very disapointed... Today (March 5th) the wind conditions were great for sporty sailing while staying in the safe side (8 to 14 knots from the north), with light to moderate swell (less than 50 cm). The YAM team didn't want to rent me any solo sailing dinghy, even a Laser with a single main sail! I almost waited 1 hour to hear the incredible manager's negative decision :( Too much time wasted for nothing by this great weather. However he proposed me to rent a paddle board instead...looool ! My question: when do you rent your sail boats??? Perhaps when you need rows to move on? Don't tell me that the paddle board is the future for a "sailing academy"...

I had windsurfing lessons here. The instructors are knowledgeable and friendly. The equipment is a little beat up, especially considering what you pay for. They utilize a public sport beach which can get very crowded with other classes and some "civilians" too who wander in just to swim. Overall it was a very good experience, not perfect.

The only thing this place has going for them is that they're located in the heart of beautiful Tel Aviv. They have no clue how to treat customers. My friend and I paid 100 NIS ($27) each for an hour on kayakes. They didn't help us with the life jackets, which the closet was a mess, one of the kayaks was missing a wheel, so we had to drag it to the ocean with no assistance from the employee we had to deal with, and to top it all off one of the kayaks didn't have a plug in it so it filled with water. We ended washing up on shore by the Hilton and getting cut up by rocks. Their response was to talk in Hebrew, thinking I didn't understand them, about me and to mock to my face about not being capable of being on the water. At the end the manager offered me a free hour on a paddle board or kayake another time. When I asked how I could be guaranteed that, the employee said "don't worry, no one here will forget you."

The only place to hire a small sailing boat like a Catamaran, 420's and laser. Highly suggested for sailors.

Time wasters - just be honest I wanted to hire a small sailing Dinghy to finish my holiday First they say come back tomorrow morning - for me - after a wedding - so I don’t drink the night before and skip breakfast to go back at 10:00.8 I get told, we don’t have a boat come back at 11:30. I rush to get breakfast and come back at 11:30 and get told Look man, we’re not letting you out, I don’t know you sorry! If you’d have told me that yesterday and been honest I’d have said fair enough. Now you’ve spoilt my last day here!! Only bad experience I’ve had since arriving in Telaviv

I booked a two hour catamaran lesson for my son and myself. We had Tomer as our instructor. He has been sailing for almost 30 years since he was 6 years old and loves the sea and loves to share it. We really enjoyed our full two hours out on the Mediterranean learning catamaran sailing. By the end of our two hours, my son was out on the trapeze wire and holding the tiller all at the same time! While we were only visiting Tel Aviv for one day, and did not have the time for the full 5 lesson course, we found the experience fantastic and unique. Thank you Tomer for a fantastic lesson. Thank you Maya for your help in booking it and your flexibility in making our timing work. A wonderful experience, I highly recommend.

There was a double booking in the system. Due to earlier arrival of the others, they got the catamaran. No solution was provided by he sailing club except the normal rate for the alternative laser to sail in. No apologies either, therfore this post
