University cafeteria. This one is pure vege. Very cheap but healthy and satisfying. You can get the mensa card at the cash counter if you're a visitor.

I like the idea of a veggie mensa, but I honestly consider the veggie food at the Mensa 2 more in accordance to my taste. Very close to the law department and with much less line, so best for a quick meal.

I like the food here, but the vegan options are usually less than vegetarian ones. Sometimes there is only 1 plant-based main dish. The vegan dishes are yummy, healthy and eco-friendly so the canteen can easily go vegan, can't see what keeps them from it!

Having a veggie cantina around is a good idea in general. Nonetheless I wonder, why they serve so little salad, and mostly fried, and overcooked food. It is merely a low quality cantina without the classical sausages and 'Schnitzel'

You can only pay using a MensaCard issued by the Berliner Studentenwerk. Excellent and cheap vegetarian food.

The selection of food is very restricted. Also they never give you a receipt , even if you ask for it. So, you don't know how much they charged in your mensacard.

Food is getting very expensive, while the quality is really below average. Some ladies at the register are extremely mean.

A little crowded during lunch peak hours and doesn't have fountain drinks, you have to buy bottled ones...

The Kake Udon and some salad. Udon and soup were good. But the radish just made the soup super sour and I had to take them out. In case it got worse. The kimchi is actually pretty good so is the noodles salad. But last semester all dishes were SUPER salty!!!!! Way too much salt and soy sauce. There were these Tonkatsu and Tofu with rice(?) I couldn’t even finish it. And now im scared to try it again. Just hope the recipe has changed during the vacation. So far Udon and Ramen are fine. But all the dishes with soy sauce and Tonkatsu. I’m just not gonna try it again. 😅😅

Pros: Side salads were acceptable. The place seems clean. Cons: Apparently Japanese curry doesn’t include curry.. or maybe it’s just the Mensa’s creative interpretation of this classic dish. Grumpy service.
