I stayed in room 4146 which overlooked the pool but the room had a king bed and a sort of sofa sleeper pull out. The balcony was very nice and the room had a comfortable bed and nice bathroom. Guess services were exceptional and the overall appearance of the hotel and resort was good. One of the main issues I had with this resort was the pricing of food and beverages was on the high end. A buffet breakfast was $21 plus applicable taxes. The buffet consisted of rehydrated scrambled eggs, inexpensive bacon, fruit, and a potato hash. There was sometimes pastries available and other times not. You were definitely not getting any value for the price when it came to breakfast. Launch was very similar with sacked lunches around $21 that were very basic and very overpriced. The lazy river was nice and they're always seem to be enough floats to utilize. The pool was also great. The bar again was about $17 or more per cocktail which is something I would expect to see in Las Vegas but a little high at this resort in my opinion. Overall, this place is worth checking out if you are in the area and can find a deal.

PROS: The grounds were very pretty, and the location was nice. Also, the beds were quite comfy. CONS: The pricing is outrageous. A plain bagel for room service will run you $8. A 60 minute massage at the spa will be well into $300 or $400. My biggest gripe however was a worker at the pool, who was very rude and kicked my friend and I out of what we were told was a 'private' table, that had no marking or indications as such. When I said something while I was leaving he got on a power trip and threatened me with police action. Truly an awful employee and awful experience there. I can say the pool was not in itself worth going for - it was crowded with kids, and to rent a Cabana (which 80% were empty) was over $400. I would not stay at this location again, personally, unless it was something my company was paying for. There are probably much better places at much fairer rates than this just as close to shopping and attractions.

The Westin Kierland Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona, is without a doubt one of the most outstanding venues I've had the pleasure of visiting for a conference. It's not hard to see why this resort has earned such an impeccable reputation as a destination for both business and leisure travelers alike. The staff at the Westin Kierland Resort deserves special mention. They were courteous, professional, and attentive throughout our stay, ensuring that my colleagues and I were well-attended and cared for, making our conference experience seamless and enjoyable. And did I mention that the conference facilities really are world class? One of the highlights of my stay was the stunning landscape that surrounds the resort. The breathtaking views of the desert serve as a natural backdrop for networking sessions and informal discussions with fellow conference attendees, creating a serene and inspiring atmosphere. The pool and lazy river are truly inviting, offering a much-needed respite from the desert heat. Although I wished the lazy river had stayed open later, and it was slightly disappointing to find the swim-up bar closed, the experience was still highly enjoyable. As for the tubes available for the lazy river, I ended up purchasing a higher quality one from a local store, which significantly enhanced my experience. A particularly memorable moment during my stay was enjoying a fine cigar from the resort's impressive selection. One evening, I sat back on the patio, cigar in hand, feeling the cool breeze and watching a distant lightning storm. It was a sublime moment that added to the uniqueness of my stay at the Westin Kierland Resort. Despite a few minor inconveniences, I had an amazing time at the Westin Kierland Resort, and I can't wait to return next year for our annual conference. The combination of professional staff, stunning views, and wonderful amenities makes it a destination I eagerly anticipate visiting year after year.

Stayed a week at this resort for vacation. The Westin is conveniently located within the Scottsdale area to shopping, great restaurants and golf. We golfed 3 days at Kierland, golf facilities and staff were awesome. The adult pool was exactly what we wanted and the lazy river was a nice option for us too. The staff were excellent, friendly and welcoming, including Ryan who checked us in. Thank you Ryan for acknowledging the special event we were there to celebrate. Highly recommend this resort.

Visited the Westin Kierland today to spend the day at the pool and celebrate a birthday. WOW! The accommodations and service could not have been better. We were first greeted at the front of the pool by Savannah, who was lovely and showed us around. After we settled in, the manager Matt stopped by and was not only helpful, but incredibly delightful and really added to our overall experience. Because of how helpful and friendly Matt and the staff were, we will absolutely be back. We are so glad we picked the Westin to spend the day at!

Currently staying at this resort for the purpose of enjoying the area and relax after a health issue. Review is more about room design, and service management of noise complaints. Grounds are beautiful. Bed comfortable and rooms well appointed, but dated. Bathrooms definitely need work on tile grout and flooring- very grungy. Coffee maker is single serve and small but functional. Phone is from 20 years ago. Food typical; room service fees are nuts, food so so. Resort fees exorbitant and frankly not of value. Absolutely zero noise policy. Nor is there follow up beyond fake placation. Their open air bar/restaurant is below in a courtyard. Poorly designed - there are multiple high end guest rooms flanking this bar on 3 sides. Thus, good luck to you if you’re here to relax. Food service in the open air courtyard closes at ten with bar service till midnight at which time it closes. Purportedly. The noise level from groups partying until well after midnight is ridiculous and frankly unacceptable. There seems to be nothing the service desk nor security will do, other than “ keep an eye on things” or “we will let security know”- who functionally do nothing, night after night. Ultimately, all paralyzed by a set up that doesn’t work. The priority is serving alcohol to rowdy loud golfers at the expense of other guests in an area where you have bar services drinking guest rooms? Nothing against people socializing in the evenings so frankly this is a function, design and management issue. If booking just beware and be aware: if you are hoping to come to this resort for a relaxing quiet oasis as described in the advertisements for this resort? - and you are booked in a room or suite flanking the courtyard /golf course - you will not be relaxed or rejuvenated if sleeping was part of your family’s plan. The bar service manager here takes no responsibility to settle raucous guests, nor does front desk or security- even when multiple guests call. I have called after 11, midnight, and just before 1am on three consecutive nights. No equivalent room to the suite we booked was identified to move to. No effort made to provide other complimentary offerings - which would have been a nice gesture… a free meal? A reduced rate? I don’t know- ear plugs?!? Had we known about this set up- we would never have stayed at this resort and would not recommend if you want any peace in the late evening, from your overpriced room. The resort should reconsider this design of its bar area- it’s totally nuts. New flash - drunk guests are not “quiet”. Very disappointed- have stayed in many Westins, high end resorts and unique locations around the world. Apart from this view, we were disappointed this Scottsdale Westin. And since I could not sleep restfully until well after 1 am any night … had lots of time to reflect here.

Oh, I had such an amazing time at the Westin Kierland Resort and Spa! Let me tell you, the rooms were absolutely stunning. I couldn't help but feel like royalty with the beautiful decor and cozy ambiance. And the service? Oh my goodness, it was top-notch! The staff went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed. One thing that really stood out to me was the shuttle service. It was so convenient to have transportation readily available, and it made exploring the area a breeze. Plus, the complimentary waters and cookies in the hotel were such a nice touch. It's those little details that make a stay truly special. 🥰 Now, I have to be honest, there was one small hiccup during my stay. The bartender at the Investors Group conference, held outside, was quite rude to some customers. It definitely put a damper on the evening, and I hope the hotel addresses this issue. But overall, the grounds and overall atmosphere of the hotel were absolutely delightful. I felt like I was in paradise! I would highly recommend the Westin Kierland Resort and Spa to anyone looking for a luxurious and memorable stay. Trust me, you won't be disappointed! Spent a weekend celebrating at this resort, was absolutely beautiful and enjoyed every minute! There are a handful of minor details today truly cost this place 5 starts. The first is parking, you have to pay for parking on site, even to park yourself, the whole weekend the gates are up the whole time and never at any time was parking hard to come by. The parking lot is huge, and it's absolutely robbery to be charging for parking, especially at that rate, when you have to walk a fair distance. The second was how crowded the pool gets, despite signs everywhere starting you can't reserve spots, there were dozens of looking spots, with shade cover that were never used in the several hours we were at the pool, despite there being towels. Other than that we had a great time and this resort is absolutely beautiful to walk around. The staff were very helpful and we had a great time! Highly recommend their breakfast buffet, it was probably the highlight of all the meals we had!

I am giving this hotel three stars solely due to the location and amenities. The hotel itself is gorgeous, large, with plenty to do without leaving. It is also located near two open shopping centers within walking distance of the hotel with views of the mountains. Outside of that, my husband and I did not feel very welcomed the entire three nights. The valet members, front desk clerk, even the host and waiter at the Club Cafe restaurant were all just blank in expression. It was so strange. I sat in the lobby for quite some time, which is next to a bar, and was never even offered a glass of water. I don’t always expect high level service but for a hotel of that size and beauty, it was kind of a downer.

Fortunately, my wife and I had a discount while staying. Fortunately, the staff was very welcoming and the pool was great. Unfortunately, we are checking out after a five day stay tomorrow and housekeeping did not visit one time. Our garbage cans are overflowing and we ran out of shampoo. Everything else was amazing. I would have given five stars, but you cant leave a room unattended for a guest's entire stay. It was pretty lucky that we were not a quality auditor.

Visited from Austin, TX with my wife and our 3 year old daughter. Perfect hotel for a family get away. All the kids activities from roasting marshmallows, we did it twice and both experiences were fun and unique because they were at different locations on the premises, to building a teddy bear, free kid’s breakfast, OK Corral play area, basketball courts, yes I helped our 3 year old dunk on a lowered hoop, the pool and the lazy river. Our daughter had a lot of fun. The premises are clean, beautiful & have great views. I enjoyed sitting on the swings too with our daughter, walking around with her…taking in the live music in the lobby Friday and Saturday nights. The staff, from the valet (John was very helpful), to the young girls/women hosting the kids events & at the pool entrance were all great. Great shopping and dining options in walking distance… Sauce is great for pizza even though it’s a little further walk but with it’s low prices it’s worth the walk. A truly great 6 night/ 7 days (we did a late checkout) experience. I could keep typing good things about our stay…We will be back for the 5 star family experience.

I spent my day at the spa. Everything was absolutely perfect. 💯 I need to give a shout out to Gigi in the spa, she is an extraordinary human, full of kindness and joy. My facial was one of the best I've ever had. Thank you for making my Mother's Day present epic! 🎁 The pool was great, hot tub, steam room and sauna.

The only reason I am leaving a 5stars review is because 6stars wasn’t an option! Always enjoy the Westin’s “white tea scent” as soon as I walk in. It’s soothing and refreshing. The beds are sooo comfortable and very nice amenities. The golf course view is breathtaking and the bagpipes every evening at sunset are such a joy and treat to experience. I am very particular and I highly recommend this resort.

Very polite staff, beautifully maintained grounds, great rooms, and plenty of restaurants nearby. However, for such a pricey resort in Scottsdale they just miss the mark on the little things. The phone in our room did not work properly and continously disconnected calls and they missed stocking conditioner. My friend had a hair congealed to her plate at the Monday Cafe, which they were gracious enough to comp, but we were all finished eating by the time she got a new one. I called down this morning requesting coffee creamer, but after waiting 45 minutes I had to get to our conference and buy a $7 coffee at the shop in the lobby instead. Too many inconveniences for the cost.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Westin Kierland resort and spa while my husband attended a business conference, and I must say, it was an absolutely fantastic experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and exceptional service. The resort itself is stunning, with beautiful architecture and well-maintained grounds. The lobby is grand and inviting, and the check-in process was smooth and efficient. The staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful, providing us with all the necessary information about the resort and its amenities. Our room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and we had a stunning view of the golf course from our balcony. The room also had all the necessary amenities, including a mini-fridge, coffee maker, and a large flat-screen TV. The resort offers a wide range of dining options, and we were spoiled for choice. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast at the Nellie Cashman's Monday Club Cafe, and the food was top-notch. The resort also has several other restaurants and bars, each offering a unique dining experience. One of the highlights of our stay was the spa. My husband and I both indulged in a couple's massage, and it was pure bliss. The spa facilities were clean and well-maintained, and the staff were professional and attentive. We left feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. The resort also has several pools, including a lazy river and a water slide, which provided hours of fun and entertainment. The pool area was clean, and there were plenty of loungers and umbrellas available. Overall, our stay at the Westin Kierland resort and spa was nothing short of exceptional. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction, and the resort itself was beautiful and well-appointed. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a luxurious and relaxing getaway. One unique feature of the Westin Kierland resort and spa is its world-famous bagpiper. Every evening, a bagpiper dressed in traditional Scottish attire plays the bagpipes as the sun sets over the resort. This creates a magical and enchanting atmosphere, adding a touch of Scottish charm to the desert surroundings. Guests can gather around the fire pit or relax on the patio while enjoying the beautiful music. It is a truly memorable experience that sets the Westin Kierland apart from other resorts.

Update: I still have not received my refund for the erroneous charge after several phone calls... Make sure to check your itemized bill upon checkout!! The hotel was very nice and worked well for the conference that I attended there. However, as I read in someone else's post, review your bill when you check out of the hotel. I was billed $64.64 for a meal I did not eat. Since I was there for a conference, and my room was paid for by my employer, the erroneous charge is causing me a lot of trouble. When I called to dispute the charge I was sent to a call center in a different country. They said it could take up to 7 business days for a determination....

We had a wonderful stay here while in town for a conference. Great location, next to a huge shopping area with tons of restaurants. There's a beautiful golf course and a pool that we spent a lot of time in. I love Scottsdale, and would definitely recommend this hotel when you're in town.

What a great way to enjoy the fireworks for Fourth of July weekend. Spent time with my family friends by the pool and then enjoyed the firework spectacle. What a extravagant firework show right there behind the Westin. Had a great view on the balcony. What a great family friendly place. Everything so clean and nice and fancy. Valet was friendly. All the people who worked there were so nice and helpful. They even upgraded my friend and gave her a VIP voucher.

I was here for a ballroom dance competition! Also stayed at the same hotel last year. It is always an amazing experience every time we visit here. The staff were very nice. The Amenities and the service is good. It’s close to the Kierland Commons which is nice. Always looking forward to visit here.

This hotel is the best rated in this area. I've been coming here for a very long time. If you stay for a few days you won't be let down. Attended a protein conference here at the Westin kierland. Valet parking extremely courteous and prompt. Very impressive, and actually very inexpensive. Bit on the pricey side. Lots of big spacious rooms. Bathrooms immaculately clean. Was very impressive as a conference venue.

We loved our stay at the Westin Kierland. The place was fantastic for golf and shopping. The hotel was a few minutes away from Kierland Commons (you can get a ride from a golf cart if you request at concierge desk). The golf course was amazing! Our room was spacious, we requested a microwave be put in our room (subject to availability). There was a mini fridge, water bottles every day and water dispensers by the ice machines to stay hydrated. The pool was amazing! We loved the lazy river and the two pools you can go to. The pool side restaurant closed at 4PM which was not ideal as we were hoping to have dinner/snacks while we were at the pool (the pool closes at 8pm). They gave water pitchers to guests that were lounging by poolside which was great! The Monday Cafe had delicious breakfast which we enjoyed every day! We would definitely stay again :)

Hands down the best experience I've had at any Marriott properties. Being a Titanium status then went over and beyond. Check in was easy and the accommodations they gave us was excellent. Great food for dinner and the weekend breakfast buffet was amazing. The staff was very nice from the front desk, Del, to many more to the restaurants and outside bar at the lazy river. We will becoming back throughout the year.

Very nice and incredibly attentive staff. Huge location. Rooms are well maintained. I went for work so I can’t comment on the golf or swimming, though both look beautiful. Easy walk to shops and restaurants. Only complaint might be the lack of creative vegetarian options in any of their dining options, but that’s half of the world. Nice place.

This hotel is one of the highest rated in the area. I have been coming here for a long time. If you choose this place you definitely won't regret it. I lived across from the resort for many years. Did is good. There's many great restaurants in walking distance.

Went there for a conference but I had family nearby. It turned out to be a wonderful experience overall. The rooms were well maintained and cleaned daily. When I had issues they came right away. The issue, by the way, had nothing to do with the hotel. My granddaughters had a wonderful time at the pool and the lazy river. They will be talking about that for months to come.

Second time I've stayed here. Service is top notch, and such a great location. The rooms can be a bit dark if you want privacy, but the windows provide both sunlight and a fantastic view. I was upgraded to a villa room on the other side of the pool. It was a bit of a walk, but it was absolutely worth it. I was here for business, but it would be a terrific place for families as well.

I'd stay here again.... A bit expensive, but it really is a beautiful property. The golf course and their staff were very good. I actually liked the course as much as the famous TPC WM stadium course down the road. Everyone was friendly. The room was great. I was there for a conference and was very business friendly. I'd also come back with the family as the pools looked like serious fun. The food was a bit pricey for the quality. Restaurants were a bit understaffed, but overall friendly. There are plenty of food and bar options on the property but also in the neighborhood. I got up early a few mornings and took one of their free bikes for a spin. Really great! Leaving 4/5 because I was asked to sit through a timeshare sales pitch by the concierge when booking a round of golf and never got the points promised. I had to call Marriott and yell at some poor customer service guy in a foreign land, but he resolved EVERYTHING...(sorry for being the entitled American) I do question Marriott taking over the Westin portfolio of hotels, but in the end, it appears that Marriott does have the infrastructure to take care of their customers. It would be great to see them enhance the Westin quality and not just profit off it. Overall, a great stay and I'd recommend.

I am a local and live right down the way from The Westin. I decided to come down to the pool for the day to celebrate my birthday! I purchased a day pass that was beyond easy to access. Once I arrived to the pool Savannah greeted us and was so helpful! The manager Matt also stopped by and welcomed us with even more details to enjoy the day! I am so happy I chose to come here for my birthday. Fabulous, happy and very helpful staff! I will 100% be back!

Enjoyed a sunny November day at the pool with some girlfriends. Everything was clean and the pools were refreshing. The staff was friendly and attentive. The lazy river was wonderful, especially with a crafted cocktail in hand. The price was decent and we were able to use the facilities to shower and get ready for our dinner dates afterwards. Would go back for sure ❤️
