Absolutely fantastic Sri Lankan food with excellent vegetarian (and vegan) options. We visited Sigiriya for lunch multiple times during our (rather short) stay in Berlin. Try the curry plates (especially the pineapple/ leeks one and the lentil plate); you won't be disappointed (or hungry; the poriton sizes are VERY generous). Definitely going to try their hoppers and kottu next time (the hoppers are served after 5pm or so). The owner and the staff are friendly and wonderful as well.

A heartwarming experience, totally worth a visit if you are in the area. The food is amazingly good and the service is very dedicated. They don't serve anything spicy but feel free to ask for spicy sauce to add it to your taste. This made every dish even more delicious and fit for anyone.

Stumbled randomly in the restaurant, we never had Sri Lankan food but it was sooooo tasty!! 😋 the menu is amazing where they explain even the health benefits of the different spices :) and all beef & lamb is organic!

Honestly a bit disappointed after seeing all the positive reviews, don't get me wrong, the food was good but I expected something extraordinary and it wasn't. 😑 I ordered a "Alu Kessel Hodhi Mit Polos Hodhi" for the main dish, there wasn't enough sauce for the rice and the main ingredient wasn't tasteful enough in my opinion. For dessert I ordered a Gemischter Eisbecher which was just ice cream, I expected something else but oh well. 🍨 The place is really nice with a themed Sri Lankan aesthetic. The waitresses were really nice but a bit absent-minded, even though the restaurant was almost empty, I had to wave multiple times before they noticed me.

Very delicious foods. Especially since we are from Sri Lanka we needed to have something taste like back home, We are very satisfied with what we had..we had typical sri lankan rice and curry and we took Pol rotti, Koththu rotti as take away too. Can recommend to every sri lankan living in Berlin as well as anyone who likes to get the taste of Sri Lankan foods.

Hoppers are the best. Hoppers are bowl-shaped pancakes from Sri Lanka made from fermented rice flour and coconut milk (photo lower left). You can fill them with curry and eat them with your hands. String hoppers look like nests of noodles (photo right) and are made of a dough of roasted red rice flour and warm water, pushed through a sieve to turn into strands, then steamed. These are also served with curry.

Sigiriya offers dishes typical for Sri Lankan cuisine. In the ordered dishes we could taste (and smell!) ingredients and seasonings like coriander, cinnamon, goraka, pandan leaf, lemon grass and more. The food is simply great, we enjoyed every bite of it. Although it wasn' as spicy as Indian food you can ask for some chili which makes the dishes really hot, be careful with it! Overall we enjoyed our late lunch at Sigiriya very much and definitely will visit it again 👌

Sigriya! What a beautiful restaurant, amazing staff and amazing food! Special thanks to the whole team who made us feel so welcome and served up the best cocktails and food! We tried the appams (hoppers) with beef and vegetable curry and also rice with beef. Absolutely delicious food and I highly recommend everyone to try this hidden gem of a place :)

Lovely hosts, great atmosphere and delicious food, the plentiful vegan options being a highlight. Even the toilet is neately designed, is clean and smells nice, something that I‘ve come to rather appreciate than expect from Berlin. Overall this is a fantastic place to dine, I‘m coming back!

Delicious food! This is one restaurant I keep going back to and they never disappoint. Appe and Iddi Appe are my go-to order here. Chicken and beef curries are spicy enough for the Indian palate and the sambole reminds me of the flavours of South India. 😇

Authentic Sri Lankan food with a lot of variety. I tried their Dal Vada & Appam, it was very delicious, especially the chutneys that came with it. It's a bit expensive but the food & the ambiance is great. They also accept card payments.

If you enjoy authentic cuisine at a cheap price, this is it! Small and cozy, clean with friendly and polite staff. Prices are low, portions bug and delicious. Eating here is like going back to Sru Lanka. Good is cooked and spiced authentically and served like a small family restaurent would. Every thing we tried here was what we expected, and deliciously so. No wonder locals have called it one of their favorite places and recommended it so heavily!

Best Sri Lankan restaurant outside of Sri Lanka. Very tasteful decor. If you are trying Sri Lankan food for the first time, try Hoppers or Kothu. Delicious. Make sure to tell them your level of spice. They run hotter than Thai or Indian food.

Had a good time here! Food was nice, nothing spectacular but it's a small local restaurant. Honest place to go for a chicken curry. Service was informal but sweet. Pricing was fair, in the average of affordable Berlin. Less than 20€ per person for a main course, bier and dessert. Very likely to return!

(Translated by Google) Excellent, fresh, fast lunch. Organic meat, quite a few veggie variants. The menu is based on specialties from Sri Lanka, it is dispensed creamy sauces, which is very pleasant. Instead, fine spice and very fresh ingredients. Inside it is cozy, but also for larger groups. Pleasantly warm, not like in the surrounding restaurants brrr. (Original) Ausgezeichnetes, frisches, schnelles Mittagessen.

(Translated by Google) Authentic Sinhala food! I highly recommend the Dhal and Coconut Sambal. The string hoppers and hoppers are delicious! Add crunchy papadam and the dinner is perfect. You can determine the sharpness yourself, the waitress is attentive and asks. If you want to eat with your hands, as is customary in Sri Lanka, you will be provided with warm water bowls with lemon to clean your hands. Arak is also available there and the drinks are delicious! Of all the Sinhala restaurants in Berlin, this is the best if you expect South Sinhala dishes! I am thrilled and would love to come back! (Original) Authentisches singhalesisches Essen!

Authentic Sri Lankan cuisine in Berlin Germany . Spice levels are similer to a restaurant in Sri lanka or a house meal. Must visit joint if you want to experience Sri Lankan food or go back to your memories back home. Friendly staff . Try the egg hopper and Sweet lassie , my favorite 🤩

The food was very interesting to try, however, the portions were pretty small. It does not look like it on the pictures, but there is one layer of food that is just spread over a plate. If one is really hungry, these portions will not make you full. Mango lassi was awful..

Great Sri Lankan food! Tried the Kottu and String Hoppers, both were great. They served a great chili oil/paste with the Kottu which would go even better with their fried rice(look for biriyani in their menu). Desserts were also good with the highlight being the watalappan. Service was great and although the space is small atmosphere was great.

I have visited the place couple of time and I have tried the menu that offers a wide range of authentic Sri Lankan dishes – from curries and rice to kottu, string hoppers and hoppers etc.. all customisable to our spice preference and have vegan options also. The friendliness of the staff, especially the owners, ensures a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The place is clean, cozy with beautiful Sri Lankan arts, adding to the authenticity and charm of the dining experience. Discovering a place in Germany that truly captures Sri Lankan cuisine is rare, but this restaurant hits the mark. It's like a little piece of home. Highly recommended for a delicious Sri Lankan meal in Berlin!

The place is small but cozy (just try not to sit in the table in front of the door during the winter). The food is good and not too spicy, which in my case was a positive thing. The waiters were nice and smiley. Desserts maybe could be improved a bit, they are not so special.. but overall I've spent a nice evening :)

Had some aapam, idiaapam and kothu parotta here. For my Indian taste buds, the kothu parotta was a bit off from what I expected. The crispiness of kothu parotta was missing. The aapam and idiaapam were fresh and tasted great. The grated coconut accompaniment is there in almost every dish - that could be avoided though or an alternate choice could be provided. A great place to taste some Sri Lankan flavour though it’s a tad bit on the expensive side

Must try in Berlin! Delicious, healthy food every time. I love this place. They have a great choice, very good quality product. Every dish I had so far was so satisfying and tasty. Plus the team is friendly, efficient and welcoming. I am an Ayurvedic student and this place is perfect for me to try out authentic Sri Lankan Ayurvedic healthy recipes! (Translated by Google) This restaurant is disgraceful to Sri Lanka society. The food is not traditionally prepared. Very little effort is put into cutting the vegetables and roti with the kottu roti. In addition, they leave a lot of star anise in the food, which gives the food a very nasty aftertaste. The only positive thing I can say is that the lime juice was good to taste.

It’s Not so easy to find a spot where they serve not the „ordinary“ Indian food like a lot of Indian restaurants in Berlin/Germany do. This is one of those rare places. You can choose between authentic South Indian and Sri Lankan specialties. I had Appam (sort of pancakes) with a well cooked, spicy beef stew and Pol Sambal. Was very good and exciting to explore this cuisine. And last but not least, the service was perfect - welcoming, friendly, careful and always with a smile.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sigiriya Berlin , and it was a delightful experience from start to finish. This charming little restaurant, tucked away on Main Street, truly lives up to its name. **Dining Experience:** I visited Sigiriya Berlin on a Tuesday evening with my wife and was promptly seated by the attentive host. **Service:** The service at Sigiriya Berlin was impeccable. Our server, Sarah, was not only knowledgeable about the menu but also very attentive to our needs. She offered great wine pairing suggestions and made sure our water glasses were always full. Kudos to the entire staff for their professionalism and warm hospitality. **Price and Value:** While Sigiriya Berlin is on the upscale side, the quality of the food and service justifies the price. Considering the outstanding flavors and portion sizes, it was a good value for a special occasion.
