"Disappointing
Experience

My
recent
stay
at
this
Airbnb
property
left
much
to
be
desired.
I
want
to
share
my
experience
so
future
guests
are
aware
of
the
issues
I
encountered.
Firstly,
the
security
deposit:
The
host
withheld
a
portion
of
my
security
deposit
without
valid
reasons.
I
followed
all
the
rules,
left
the
property
in
good
condition,
and
yet
I
was
unfairly
charged
for
damages
that
were
not
my
responsibility.
This
lack
of
transparency
and
unfair
treatment
left
a
sour
taste
in
my
mouth.
Secondly,
the
cleanliness
of
the
property
was
severely
lacking.
I
was
horrified
to
find
cockroaches
in
the
house.
This
is
completely
unacceptable,
and
it
made
our
stay
uncomfortable
and
unhygienic.
I
believe
it's
the
host's
responsibility
to
maintain
a
pest-free
environment
for
guests.
I
communicated
these
concerns
with
the
host,
but
the
response
was
inadequate,
and
I
felt
unsupported.
This
experience
has
left
me
with
serious
doubts
about
using
Airbnb
in
the
future.
The
host
asked
us
for
a
10,000
Thai
Baht
deposit,
even
though
Airbnb
provides
insurance
coverage
for
hosts.
This
deposit
request
was
not
only
unnecessary
but
also
against
Airbnb's
policies.
As
we
had
already
paid
in
full
for
the
AirBnb
booking
we
were
left
with
no
other
choice
other
than
to
pay
Peter
asked
an
extra
10,000
deposit
to
check
in.
To
make
matters
worse,
the
couch
in
the
living
room
was
torn
and
had
a
foul
smell.
It
was
quite
uncomfortable
and
not
as
described
in
the
listing.
Furthermore,
the
cleanliness
of
the
place
was
subpar.
We
encountered
cockroaches
in
both
the
kitchen
and
living
room,
which
was
quite
unsettling.
Overall,
I
would
not
recommend
this
Airbnb
due
to
the
issues
with
the
deposit
request,
the
poor
condition
of
the
furniture,
and
the
hygiene
concerns.
I
hope
this
review
serves
as
a
warning
to
others,
and
I
urge
the
host
to
improve
their
property
and
their
communication
with
guests
to
ensure
a
more
pleasant
experience.
