Must visit place for everyone who loves art and craft works, especially those which are indigenous to our own Kerala. The whole ambience is endearing, with a calming music playing in the background all throughout. There were numerous shops displaying the handicrafts done using wood, paper quills, clay, coconut husk, terracotta, thread, jute, dry flowers, glass arts, paintings, ivory, bronze and what not! Everything under one roof, indeed!! Such a soothing experience to watch these art works, and the dedication and craftsmanship deserve big applause!! Great collection available to buy and these would be perfect for home decors, though prices are a bit high it is reasonable considering the effort spent on the handmade products. Staff/Artists are very friendly with a smiling face and they explain the art works and about the materials used for intricate detailing in their works. There is a peak point on top (you can drive your way up) where you can watch the horizon, best time to visit is towards evening, where one can enjoy the slow breeze amid the greenery. Alongside is an amphitheatre and a small children's park too. There is a restaurant also where food was really good. The place is beautifully constructed and maintained exquisitely. Really clean and not a speck of dust anywhere. Overall really nice experience visiting this place, for an evening outing and also to buy beautiful genuine art works, worth having to beautify your home!!

Such a wonderful place. The place is well maintained like a posh resort. Lots of Arts and Crafts which can be a little pricey to buy and a spectacular collection of paintings in the Emporium. They also have a good restaurant and a small play area for kids.

Wonderful place. Need to pay for entry and parking, but the place is so well maintained with enough parking. 28 art studios where you can see, buy, learn and experience various art. So many open areas which kids would love and a small kids play area as well included. The restaurant is of top quality and well maintained. It has enough for a day outing.

Nice place. You can get quality handicrafts and memoirs related to Kerala. From the top point you can watch sunset and a beautiful seascape view. The indoor as well as the outdoor meeting spaces were really picturesque. Work is not yet finished I think and ample parking space is available.

I came to the Kerala Arts & Crafts Village to attend the 2022 edition of the WOW Women's Week Festival. It's a wonderful place with a good ambience. I couldn't explore much of the arts and crafts side, but the open stage looked perfect for cultural events. The restaurant is a very spacious one with good interiors, and can accommodate more than a hundred at a time. The prices are reasonable too. The washroom facilities are also excellent. Parking facilities are there and the place is mobility accessible. If you are looking for a place for lunch/dinner outing with family or friends, the place will be an apt choice.

Still in awe. Totally loved it. What a beautifully maintained public property. Kudos to the govt for supporting the artisans and that too in a very grand way. I think the govt more publicity to bring in more people here. Don't miss to visit their resturant and they serve some delicious food out there in eloquent ambience. Felt like visiting a 5 restuarant. Tickets for adults cost rs 100 and for children below 50rs, car parking rs 30 Will be visiting again πŸ˜ƒπŸ‘

A must visit place for all Kerala art lovers. This wonderful place in Kovalam has a huge variety of art forms. Everything is well organized and the surroundings are great. They also have a concert on alternate Sundays. The entry fees is about Rs. 100 per person and it is worth it. If you are planning on buying items, do carry a lot of money with you since the items can be very expensive. Definitely a must visit place and good to hang out with friends and family.

I visited the Kerala Art and Craft Village last December and absolutely loved it! The concept of having so many talented artists under one roof and showcasing such a variety of handicrafts is truly unique. What I particularly enjoyed was that each artist had their own shop and a tiny workshop behind it where you could see them actually working and witness the creative process. As an artist myself, I found it fascinating to see the process behind the art and even got to meet several national award-winning artists. I ended up buying so many beautiful pieces and was pleasantly surprised by the reasonable prices. The Kerala Art and Craft Village is a huge place with a restaurant that serves amazing food. We tried the biryani and it was absolutely yummy! I would definitely visit again and recommend this place to anyone interested in art and culture.

Pros. 1. A well maintained Kerala Govt. Tourist destination that I ever visit. 2. Well maintained programme hall is available. 3. All types of crafts in the world is available here in different stalls. 4. Well maintained Restaurant. 5. Wheelchair accessible car parking and entrance is available. 6. Well maintained wash rooms are also a highlight. Cons. 1. There are 2 or more pools available but less maintained. It can be provided to use for public entertainments. 2. Crafts are good. But some are not affordable. But still its a great effort by someone and I respect.

A tremendous effort in reinstating this beautiful place. Every nook is well maintained, lawns are pretty and has a serene atmosphere. A great place to spend some time with family and enjoy traditional arts/crafts from all corners of Kerala. They have multiple shops specializing in woodwork, pottery, quillwork, weaves, bags, Aranmula mirrors, animal horn work and many artisans just proudly showing off their trade. This inturn is a great lesson to every visitor to make them socially and culturally aware of the wonderful handicrafts of Kerala. These are for sale too, would make exquisite gifts. An emporium and art exhibit is also present. Restaurant is spacious and clean. Saw an open air auditoriam too, might be conducting different fests etc here. Washrooms are clean and hygienic. Wholesome to see a separate washroom for transgenders, shows you the depth of understanding in renovating this place. The sunset viewpoint is a peaceful, windy area on a hilltop that gives you a faroff view of the sea, lovely way to end the evening. Tickets can be brought on arrival. They also have GPay, which is convenient. Good parking too.

The art and craft village is a must visit place. Beautiful kerala Architecture. The green and open space merging with the closed ones. The courtyards are green and beautifully landscaped. You need to buy an entry ticket of rs.100/- at the gate. There is a neat and clean washroom near workshop no.4. There are crafts displayed in the workshops for sale as well. It is lovely priced though. But the craft items are beautiful and some of them are a masterpiece. In a few workshops the craftspeople are working and showing the process of making. Very serene place. There is one cafe cum restaurant also , and amphitheatre, There is an art gallery near the entry gate. I would suggest reading the map displayed and clicking its photo to orient yourself. Some of the area was under renovation and maintenance. It's a lush green property with beautiful lighting in the evening. Fetching an auto or public convince is somewhat challenging. If u could walk upto the main road , then you can find an auto from there. This centre is 15-20 min from Kovalam beach..By auto.

Great Place for finding great crafts & arts under a single roof. A must visit when you are in and around Trivandrum. In addition it is also a great place to spend time in the evening with the family and you could even watch the set happening in the Arabian Sea (Kovalam Beach area) from the topmost point inside the KACV. It also doubles as a venue for many arts and cultural (both traditional and new generation) events and workshops in weekends and other days. Parking space available and the tickets are very reasonable for the experience one can get.

Amazing place. Was pleasantly surprised by how well the place was kept. We had no clue of the existence of such an awesome arts and crafts village. Everything is clean and proper and clearly indicated. The artisans are eager to talk to the guests and ready to share their passion and knowledge. The entry fees is 100 rupees and if you carry camera it is 250 or so

Open between 10AM and 7PM, yet consider visiting before 4 AM since the time needed to completely cover most would be around 3 hours including the viewpoints and other natural attractions. Well maintained premises, with adequate facilities for food, toilets and entertainment. The classy feel inside, boosted by an ambient light is most enjoyable during the evening. Arts and crafts sold here are top tier in quality. If needed, the manufacturing process would be explained in a very friendly manner by their staff. This would be a good choice for purchase in case of someone who is about to build a new home and needs the perfect rich furnishing, all found in one place. Only drawback is that cost is a bit in the high side, yet it is not much of a deal considering the, time and money which is needed to find each and everything separately outside. Overall a great experience

Here in the Kerala Arts & Crafts Village, you can soak your soul in multiple variants of divinity both inside and outside the studios. You can meet the artists in person and converse and chat with nature & flowers. The village itself is a rare piece of careful craftsmanship & brilliant artistry. Don't forget to visit the sunset view point up there behind the village overlooking the village premises & the nearby Arabian Ocean.(vehicles are allowed up to the top). Make sure that you keep at least 4 hours for the visit, while the village is best enjoyed as a full-day family spot. Yes, you have a nice restaurant right at the middle of the village just like you have your stomach in the middle of your body. While the studios form the strong feet on which the village sprints , the view point forms the forehead of the village with its third eye focused on the infinite possibilities ahead.

Very neat and professionally maintained place. A dedicated space for Kerala specific arts and crafts. The staff in each of the stalls are friendly and attentive. The premises and stalls maintain international standards. A highly recommended place for anyone who loves art and crafts.

A go-to place for arts and crafts lovers just to enjoy the wide variety of exhibits, interact with the artists, purchase, and take back some memories home! The place is not fully fledged the time we visited, some construction work was still in progress. Thoughtful inclusions like kids play area, congerence halls, fine dining restaurants, open air auditorium, etc. makes the facility stand out and helps attract a variety of crowd in near future and years to come! A bit more of helping hands/guides in navigating the property would have been a nice addition.

An amazing place that exhibits Kerala's rich art and culture. Also you'll get a chance to meet many National and State award winning artists, their workshops and buy their piece of art if you liked it. The amphitheatre, sunset view point and emporium, all combined, a blissful day for sure. So happy that the government is initiating such wonderful art & culture oriented projects.

An aesthetically designed place for showcasing the talents of various artisans. The ambience is pleasant and soothing . It features art made out of quill, wood craft, horn craft, pottery, handwoven clothes. It has a herbal garden which is a part of nature trail and there's man made petite waterfall. The place has a beautiful spot to view the sea . There is a hotel which provides decent food with not much of choices. They serve only chapathi Nan and parota. There is an amphitheatre which showcases performances of artists. This place is ideal for family, couples and mainly to those interested in art and craft.
