The hotel is grand and very near to Railway Station. While the external ambience is good, the quality of maintenance of rooms are to be improved. The wooden almirahs in the room stayed by us was infested with insects. We had informed and hope it’s rectified now. The restaurant attached is good. Also there’s an adjacent vegetarian restaurant which is good. There is ample open parking.

This is for the Restaurant part. Being a government establishment the service is just superb. Neat and clean atmosphere. Very hospitable place. The waiter behaved so well I felt like worshipping him😭 the food is decent. The way they serve is very professional. The people working there is properly trained professionals for sure. Usually not crowded.

Excellent location.. Close to railway station and bus terminal. Also, many good restaurants are nearby. Hotel Aryaas is just 2 blocks away. Rooms were neat, clean and spacious. 24 hours checkout is available if we book on KTDC website.Would surely recommend to stay here.

It is just opposite to railway station on the main road. No need to pick an auto or taxi. Rooms are well done. Good AC. Many plug points. Only issue is that the restaurant closes at 10.30PM. No food is served after that. Its a bit difficult for those who arrive late night. Afternoon buffet was typical Kerala food.

I stayed here for 4 nights while I was in trivandrum.... It's an amazing place to stay! Rooms are reasonably priced, spacious and well maintained. The staff members are very polite and helpful. All major landmarks are easily accessible from here(the central railway station being right opposite the hotel). You'll get taxis and autos right in front of the building. This will be my preferred place of stay during my next trip....

As part of a government run institution that plays an important role in promoting tourism, the staff should be trained to be more hospitable and pleasant to the visitors.Had booked two days prior to our visit but we were made to wait in the lobby for a long time in the name of cleaning. Though the front part of the building looks stylish after renovation , the rooms remain the same, average in neatness. The bathrooms are not well maintained. The food is somewhat okay but this is hardly enough to attract visitors who expect much more, considering the hefty rent that we have to pay.

Stay was really pleasant. Rooms are very neat and tidy. Room service is also really nice. Place is located at the city center and very close to Railway Station. Bathroom was neat but hot water facility is available till 7 in the morning. Photo attached is a premium AC room.

Walkable distance from Trivandrum Central Railway Station and Thampanoor bus station. Good hotel, smooth check in, polite and dedicated staff. Room was spacious and it's value for money. Room service and the food was also good. Overall good experience. Parking is available, but may not be sufficient if rooms are fully occupied.

Have been using Chaitram for long time. However this time I found it bad. I had reservation for a Suit room, since the check in time is 12 pm I asked them to convert it to whatever is available. This was done on the spot. The breakfast was pathetic. It was like they were doing a favour by feeding us. The quality of food and how it was arranged was bad. The Beer parlour also was the same. No one cared if you are there, if you have any requirement etc. Typical bad GOVT employee mindset. Mentioned bad Govt employee because there are also very good Govt employees. For eg the front office staff and the house keeping staff.

Rooms are okay. Lift is troublesome, the gates shut immediately.Breakfast has a good variety. But other meals don't have much variety of North Indian food.

Not a very fancy hotel with fancy rooms and expert staffs. But it was worth for the money I paid cause the assistance was good and everyone were polite and friendly and Interactive to my requirements. There was only a downside that I didn’t get the extra bed I have paid for even after calling them a couple of times and even after going to the reception desk and ask it myself, I got it very late in the night , i guess about at 10.30 or 11.00 I got the bed. Everything else was nice, the cleanliness was good, Comfort was good, The food lets say its okayish .

Just out side Thiruvananthapuram central railway station, a three star hotel of Kerala Govt. Room was ok. The service was not though the staff was cooperative. If you have to wait for room service ( tea) up to 7 o clock in the morning, waht is the use of staying in a hotel

Located just opposite the Trivandrum railway station and next to the Bus stand. Had booked room with king size bed but they had blocked room with twin beds!! On my insistence they gave double room. But AC was not at all effective on both nights. Despite complaining nothing was done. A technician just cleaned the filter but that didn’t help. Breakfast was good. Some front office staff behave like typical government employees ☹️ (which they are)! There was some construction work going on in the upper floor and the passage was all dusty. Had to call the housekeeping staff to get it cleaned.

Centrally located with exceptionally clean and aesthetic atmosphere. The aspect that I liked the most about this hotel was the prompt response of the staff right from the GM, Mr Sandeep, Mrs Bindu, the front office manager down to the lowest level. They were resourceful and were able to cater to all contingencies in a calm and composed manner. My Kudos to the GM and the complete staff

The rating is based solely on the property's location and the service provided by the staff. However, regarding the room (Executive room) I booked, it fell short. The locker was not working, the bedsheets were damp and appeared old, and I had a moldy feeling inside the room. It did not feel worth the money I paid. Breakfast also was only so and so.

The location is good. The rooms are good but keep in mind that hot water is only available from 6am to 10am and 6pm to 10pm, they will arrange a bucket of hot water on request though. Being a government run hotel, it's better than some of the private ones

Our experience at KTDC was not very good. The room was not cleaned for all 3 days that we stayed there. We had a broken glass in the room and had specifically requested to clean it up, and they had not checked it till we checked out. Being run by the tourism department, when we requested for a tour operator/guide, the response was that they do not have any contacts and we had to check for our own. Hope the department takes care of this in the future. The behaviour of the staff was good and the location is very accessible. The food was also good.

The location was ideal. The room was not so clean, especially the pillows had a lot hair strand. It was quite obvious that they were not fresh. The staff was very courteous and welcoming. For the price we paid there were so many better alternatives.

Booked an AC executive in Dec'23. The room was decent but had all the accessories and was clean. Nearby connectivity to all points via auto bus. multiple food outlets also available. Breakfast was good. Comfortable stay!

The location and service was good,but the room was not very clean. Im pretty sure it wasn't cleaned properly as the tiles were extremely sticky . The washroom was not very hygienic could've been cleaned. I had only 1 night at the hotel so I didn't have much of a problem.

Average rooms .staffs are good. Location just opposit railway station . We can reach plat form no 1 with in 2minuts walking ( just cross the road ) the gate will open 0500am so we can easily reach platform no 1 to catch Vandebharath. Walkable distance tattukada, Indian coffee house and another veg

Excellent hotel to stay near Trivandrum central railway station. Rooms were neat and tidy with all amenities. All temples are nearby as well so its a good option to select this hotel if your travelling from another city

I booked a room through direct call without paying anything advance. I was surprised when I checked in. I really didn't expect a govt property to be maintained at such a high standards. Everything there was just exceptional. Rooms are neat and clean. Service is very good. Restaurant serves best food at reasonable price. Located next to central bus station and railway station. Great place to stay in Trivandrum. If you are govt employee, they are giving some discount on tarif too. I highly recommend.

Stayed in AC premium , rooms were clean with all amenities. Service was excellent. Only difference between AC premium and executive is area of room rest all is same. Food was average though suitably priced.

Strategically located. Spacious rooms. Built will top quality. But lacks maintenance just like any Govt. Project. But definitely a good stay for family. And staff are very kind and co-operative. We had a pleasant stay.

Located at heart of the city. Clean and tidy room/bathroom. Spacious room with good ventilation and outside view. The entire property is maintained well. Courteous staff and good service. Car parking space available.e

Just opposite to railway station. Has sufficient parking for 10 cars. Rooms were clean and all basic toiletries were provided. Rooms have central ac and very effective in hot humid climate. Also staff I interacted were quite good.

Very very great place. The rooms and beds were very good for price. The bathrooms were neat and had handsoap AND toilet paper AND a shower that closes. The fan and AC also worked. I would come here again.

Great location. Easy access to railway station and other stores. AC was maintained very well. Clean rooms. It does have wheel chair access. Only draw back was it too long time for check-in . Food was yummy we had a comfortable stay.

First the Good ones. Rooms inside was spacious, comfortable and good . Reception was courteous enough to allot a king bed as the family had a 3year old kid even though it took some time for checking in. Next the bad ones. When we arrived at the hotel no one was there to off load luggage and tranfer it to the hotel. The security also was a spectator. The complimentary breakfast was not good and most of the items were not hot and fresh. The taste was also bad. The service was also delayed one. .

This place is so cool, well maintained, and hygienic. The staff are so cooperative and very helpful. They will provide all the daily essentials like, heater jug, Nescafe coffee, sugar, tea bags, dairy whitener, comb, and all toiletries. AC is good and working well also there is a fan additional There are two lifts, and a wheelchair accessible

The hotel is absolutely well maintained and have a positive vibe. Located at the heart of the city, you can get cabs, train, bus auto from the gate of the hotel. The rooms are spacious and with ample lightnings. The service is quick and staff is courteous be if house keeping or reception they are on point and very welcoming. Kudos to the team ktdc for the wonderful experience.

It's a three-star hotel run by the government. This hotel is close to all of the important places to visit in Trivandrum. The railway station and bus stop are both within walking distance. The airport is only 20 minutes away. The rooms are well-kept, and the staff is well-trained and courteous. I recommend staying here to save time on the road and to enjoy their hospitality.
