When I visited melts I stayed here with my family and it was just truly an awesome experience. From the moment we walked in it was just a cool vibe. Dimmed lights, abstract art and house music in the background. I just loved this place and it wasn't just a 'place to stay' whilst we were in Melbourne, it literally felt like a high end cool apartment and I genuinely enjoyed going there and waking up early for breakfast each day at 1851 Coffee and Kitchen. I recommend this place for literally anyone. Its clean, artsy, warm, comfortable and the service was just spectacular. Thanks ZH x

Zagame’s House is an absolutely wonderful place to call your home away from home while in Melbourne. You will be near the countless restaurants along Lygon Street while being just a few minutes away from all key landmarks in the city. The facility has a sleek and modern finish which is kept immaculately clean and organized. The amenities are also wonderful and its in-house products are top quality. It also has a delectably sumptuous and diverse breakfast menu with large portion sizes. Its amazing staff are professional, respectful and friendly, most especially the amazing Mohi who was able to make necessary arrangements to address my emerging travel concerns (early check-in, early breakfast, etc.). Definitely, highly recommended.

I booked a night at Zagame's House for my partner and I to stay as it was his birthday. I left a note in the booking asking if they could include a little surprise in the room and, Lara, one of the staff, very promptly wrote back asking for more details. Check-in was a smooth process and we were quickly able to get a key to our room. My partner was very touched by the birthday decorations the staff put up in the room and I really appreciate them doing so for us at no extra cost. The stay itself was lovely! The lighting in the room is very warm which really complements the darker, earthier colour scheme they've chosen. All the interior designing was done very tastefully and our favourite furniture item would be the giant armchair. The king-sized bed is also incredibly comfy. The shower is bright and very clean. Amenities provide were great as well. The shampoos and soaps all smelled delicious. Zagame's House is also located in a nice area to walk around and discover restaurants. There's a park and a museum (and a movie theatre, if I recall) within walking distance as well. Definitely a lovely place to have a stay if you'd like to spend some time away from home. We also had drinks and dinner at Lord Lygon, which is located in the hotel, and it was splendid. The food and drinks were great and the service staff were very friendly and helpful. All in all, it was an absolutely wonderful stay for the both of us. Zagame's House has got to be one of the best hotels we've ever stayed at and that's all thanks to the impeccable service the staff provides. Thank you so much for helping us to have such a lovely experience. Cheers!

Two nights’ excellent stay at Zagame’s. Polite, helpful staff, large very comfortable bed, generous bathroom with large shower rose, good quality coffee pods. Fittings and toiletries high standard. All of Lygon St eateries close by. Small issue with quite bright electronic standbys at night- solved with socks etc - and some late night talkers in the courtyard. Would come again!

This would have to be one of the best places I have stayed. The room was beautiful, moody and relaxing. Loved the shower and the choice of body wash and haircare. The bed was massive and so comfortable I could have stayed in bed all day! Room service meant I was able to have a delicious restaurant quality meal while relaxing in bed watching a movie on the massive TV. The breakfast included at the Cafe was delicious and I couldn't fault how lovely and attentive the staff all were. Can't wait to stay there again! And such a perfect location, so close to everything!

Beautiful rooms in a brilliant location located close to the city and bustling Lygon Street. A little touch of extra elegance and attention to detail than most hotels in the area, with personalised decor and a cool vibe. The staff were friendly and we had a great experience as a result.

We stayed at one of the corner suit with our dogs and it was spacious and beautiful. It was dog friendly room but no hair or smell of other dogs, which was really great as our dogs doesn’t shed and always smell like shampoo. Our dogs loved the attentions they got from the friendly staffs and other kind people staying at the hotel. It is definitely dog friendly not dog tolerated hotel.

Our three night stay in one of the King Rooms was amazing! The service was friendly and prompt, the room was super stylish and immaculate, and the ammenities were useful. If we wanted something, they'd make it happen. It was the best hotel i've stayed in to date. I'm so glad that we were taken care of by Zagame's House for our stay in Melbourne. Loved it.

I cannot fault this hotel at all! The location is amazing, the room is small but cozy, the perfect temperature control, the bed is so comfortable and there was so many pillow choices. They also offer a daily breakfast downstairs with amazing coffee. Every single member of staff we had an interaction with was great. I wish we had stayed longer! Thank you We were only there

This was a fantastic hotel. We stayed for 4 nights. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was that the room smelled strongly of bleach, I really appreciate that the cleaning was thorough in this age of COVID. The rooms (and the whole hotel) are also super stylish, and the bed was so comfortable. It was also warm, considering it was about 4 degrees in the mornings when we visited. There were a lot of bathroom products supplied like pads and makeup removing wipes. We didn't try the cafe or the restaurant - it's so well situated that there's just too many other options. It was a really nice stroll down to the city and back, and the Melbourne Museum and Carlton Gardens are literally a block away. I hope we get an opportunity to stay again.

My wife and I wanted a nice hotel to stay in as we went to see the Harry Potter and the cursed child play. The receptionist was very nice and welcoming. They have an easy to access parking area. The hotel even let us keep our car there the next day while we explored for while at no extra charge. The rooms were clean and we were were both very happy with our stay. The breakfast was amazing. We will be back

Went here a few weeks ago with my husband to stay. The rooms are very clean, great location and the staff members are really nice. We had breakfast in the morning and we thoroughly enjoyed it - really good quality food. I will definitely be coming back next time I go to Melbourne.

Good location. Handy for Italian restaurants, groceries and shopping. The adjacent wine bar is lovely. My stay was enjoyable :) The only thing I can fault is the layout (it’s old school motel style) so it’s not very sound proof - if someone is checking out/in you’ll hear their bags rolling. Also, the bathrooms have see through doors so if you’re sharing and that’s an issue, keep that in mind.

Pros - Good location on Lygon street which is full of Italian restaurants and cafes. Walkable to the city and Fitzroy. -Staff were friendly and helped with any questions we had -The amenities in the room were good, especially the Bluetooth speaker. Cons -Would have been an easy 5 stars if not for the poor privacy. The toilet is in a glass box right beside the bed meaning you can hear and practically see everything. Now the big speaker makes sense... The blind also had a large gap at the side when pulled down which meant you could see the bed from outside when reflecting in the mirror on the wall. -The room itself is dark as the bathroom has the only window.

I absolutely love staying at this hotel! Here's why it's my go-to place in Melbourne: Smooth check-in and check-out process Spacious and comfortable rooms Well-stocked minibar Pet-friendly with great room service options Perfect location near CBD and entertainment hubs From the moment I arrive, the hotel staff makes everything easy and hassle-free. Checking in and out is a breeze, allowing me to quickly settle into my spacious and comfortable room. I appreciate the attention to detail, including the well-stocked minibar with a great selection of treats. It's always nice to have some indulgent options right at your fingertips. As a pet lover, I'm thrilled that this hotel is pet-friendly. It's fantastic to be able to bring my furry friend along and enjoy the stay together. The room service options are also fantastic, offering a variety of delicious meals that can be delivered straight to the door. One of the best things about this hotel is its fantastic location. It's so close to Melbourne's CBD and the main entertainment and dining areas. It's a perfect base for exploring the city, trying out different restaurants, and experiencing the vibrant atmosphere. Overall, this hotel offers an amazing experience with its smooth check-in and check-out, comfortable rooms, well-stocked minibar, pet-friendly policy, and great room service options. I can't wait to come back for another enjoyable stay! Highly recommended for an unforgettable time in Melbourne! Counting down the days until my next visit!

Nice rooms and great service. First stay in Carlton and expected more places to eat close by on a Sunday morning but there is nothing! Except, luckily, the wonderful restaurant in the hotel!!! The couples pleasure pack in the room was a nice touch too

We spent a truly wonderful night at Zagame House celebrating our anniversary.. all the staff were warm and welcoming even leaving a special gift in our room to celebrate our milestone; a wonderful personal touch! The room was well appointed and the bed was so comfy. We popped in for a drink at their wine bar Lord Lygon! What a little gem.. Vy and his team are true professionals. Thank you and definitely will return and recommend.

What a delightful hotel! The other reviews are correct, this place is great. An oasis within the city/Carlton. The rooms are tastefully decorated, there are enough plugs for what you need and the bathroom is big and airy. Bed is great and linens was also really good. Clean too. Location-wise, we needed to stay close to the CBD so it was perfect for us. My only issue was the toilet is situated right next to the bed, albeit behind a frosted glass wall. The sliding rattan doors don't really provide any privacy against the glass or sound wise. It was all just a little to overwhelming for me lol. Besides that I really enjoyed my stay. :)

One of the best stays I have had in a hotel. Beautiful rooms with very nice and thoughtful touches (I enjoyed the Marshall speaker to play some tunes). slept well in very very comfy bed. I loved how dark and cosy it was. Another review mentioned the bathroom is on the street/window side, which we had also, but i felt that provided privacy and a noise insulation from the road. the windows all had blackout blinds and i felt like the rooms suited being all cosy and dark. Ours was anyway. The bathrooms were super modern, great shower, lovely vanity unit with a big lit up mirror, and spacious cabinet (pet hate in hotels - no cabinet to put your stuff) and very nice toiletries provided and quality hair dryer and straightener!! The room and bathroom had excellent lighting All the staff were absolutely lovely and to top it all off had one of the best breakfasts of all time. The restaurant/meals area is also cosy and attractive. I cannot fault it, and i cannot wait to go back.

Stayed here for 2 weeks on a business trip to Australia. Very pleased with the room, bed, gym, breakfast, service and laundry facilities. Location is ideal as Carlton has a lot to offer. Quiet and peaceful perfect for Jet lagged travellers.

Great service and perfect location for wandering around Melbourne city and suburbs. Room is modern and comfortable, a bit dark but it won’t be a problem as you’ll be out in the day. Ten minutes leisurely walk either way to busy downtown or gentrified neighbourhoods. Opt for the breakfast, visually appealing and appetising

This place is divine - my go to hotel in Melbourne. The rooms are comfortable and luxurious, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the location is central convenient, with so many cafes and restaurants just a few minutes walk away. Highly recommend!

Zagame's House is one of the best hotels I’ve ever experienced. It has a very contemporary and interesting design and has everything you could want in a boutique hotel. Everything about this hotel is pristine and also highly functional. The rooms are nicely sized, well appointed and very comfortable. The best part of my experience were the incredibly friendly and helpful staff members, Sherin and Mohi. They are two of the nicest people I’ve ever met in the hospitality industry and really went out of their way to make sure I received everything I needed. They are outstanding at their job and do a wonderful job representing this special hotel and the great experience I had during my stay.

A lovely hotel! Pleasantly impressed with the modern design of the room. Very spacious shower. Convenient location to the CBD. There are a lot of restaurants within walking distance. Friendly staff. I really liked the Marshall speaker in the room that you can connect your phone to it.

Well-presented and modern rooms with everything you need. Housekeeping even messaged to check if I needed anything (eg towels) when I've placed the "busy" sign on my door. The only thing was I was in a room right near the elevators and can sometimes hear the door slamming as guests come in and out.

Great hotel. We loved the shower and the large bed. We picked this hotel because of its location which is great too. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Not worth the money, at all. Towels were not clean and had a weird odour. When asked for fresh towels, they didn’t give us the whole set of towels. The new ones they brought were also not fresh. The room was not spacious enough and had a weird odour. Did not smell clean. Developed a headache because of the odour and could not sleep well. Parking fee was 30 dollars plus GST. For the breakfast included offer, you could only choose 1 dish from the menu and 2 beverages. There were not many options on the menu. The breakfast was bland. They didn’t provide fruit or fresh fruit juice with the breakfast. Won’t be visiting again.

Well located in Melbourne. Food has very limited choice. Housekeeping staff is very casual. Never cleaned the room properly. Replacement of toiletries etc not done on time. Elevators do not work for couple of days which caused lot of inconvenience.

Fantastic rooms have to mention bed to die for. Room service was great. And the cocktails at the bar were perfection. The staff are so professional helpful and friendly. Cannot recommend more. Thank you Sagame's house we will be back.

My boyfriend and I have made this our regular Place to stay. We love the interior and thoughtfulness of the rooms. Free parking and a 20 dollar voucher for the wine shop also helps. We regularly stay in the city and would choose to stay here Only downsize is I've noticed a slight price increase over the last two months. The same room cost me 180 back in March now costs 230 (but I guess people are staying in the city) Thanks guys, we will definitely be back!

Really nice place to stay. Amazing location close to the city, Carlton and Fitzroy, the hotel itself is all new and modern and very comfortable. The bed was great and ensured a sound sleep. Lovely wine bar attached to the hotel too.

Fantastic 5 star Hotel in the heart of Carlton! Rooms are super clean, staff are friendly and the architectural design of the rooms is Melbourne chic. Highly recommend

I've discovered my new favourite Melbourne city hotel, placed perfectly in Carlton's heart and I'm seriously impressed 🤩 Zagame's House ticked about every box I had for my stay: cosy, luxe and comfort all at once which is hard to deliver in style. Highlights were gorgeous design features which provided comfort too, delicious food and drink room service options, dreamy level of bed comfort and thoughtful touches everywhere. Truly felt pampered and relaxed, without the fuss. Looking forward to a return visit to sample the restaurant and stay longer. Highly recommended for lovers of the good things in life

So many nice touches we weren't expecting and the staff didn't 'have' to provide. They clearly pride themselves on creates a positive guest experience above and beyond the basics. Truly a special stay thank you so much.

Fabulous rooms, comfy bed, staff are on point, friendly, everything was easy. Wine bar down stairs is lovely, some point to improve on, average wines list. Would love to see some more funky wines. More interesting Pinots please, the music was very dull. Super light cafe turns. The most boring negative points hehe. Apart from that. The best hotel experience in Melbourne in a long long time. Thank guys. We’ll be back again. Highly recommend

Front of house staff were excellent - very friendly and accommodating to us when needed a hotel at last minute. Rooms were comfortable, modern, clean and we felt relaxed with the colour selection, tv, lighting, pillows, bed, ease of parking and walking distance around Melbourne. Breakfast in the hotel was also delicious. Lots of care and thought has gone into the layout and ammenities to ensure most comfortable experience, even socks and umbrella provided for unexpected weather events. Will definitely be back.

Nice, stylish and well appointed rooms. Perfect location to explore Melbourne. The breakfast is of very high quality and the wine bar attached to the hotel offers a great selection of whines as well as high quality charcuterie and cheese platters. Very friendly staff and cool vibe throughout the hotel. Will stay there again!

Pros: - Rooms are very clean. - There's a cute little car for rent if you don't like walking. - Staff are all very friendly. - Location is decent, about 10 minutes walk to all the touristy areas. - 24 hour reception, very useful. Cons: - Toilet tiles can get very cold, like freezing to the touch. - Rooms are very dark, the toilet is brighter than the entire room with all the lights on. - The bar/restaurant has limited alcohol choices. - The hotel is an outdoor concept so the corridors are all outdoors. This causes the do not disturb/make up room signs to drop with strong winds. Overall a very good hotel, the cons are really just my personal peeves.

Have stayed here a couple of times and really enjoy it. Spacious rooms with contemporary decor, comfortable beds, small but good cafe/wine bar, 24 hour reception, reasonable pricing, friendlystaff. Has a lovely energy about it.

We stayed here recently for 3 nights and it is one of the hotels that I would highly recommend. Our family of 4 (including 2 young children) thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooms were fantastic in terms of comfort and the staff kindly provided us with a cot for our youngest. Furnishings were stylish with modern aesthetics. In addition, the staff at both the hotel and restaurant were very friendly and accommodating to our requests. Housekeeping and cleanliness are on par with the quality of hotel. Food at the restaurant was delicious and overall good. The location of the hotel was central with plenty of restaurant choices and the city within walking distance as well. Definitely would love to be back in the future

The rooms were small (even though we booked what we thought was a bigger room) and dark. Smelled strongly of bleach when we arrived and there are no windows to open, so the lack of fresh air was suffocating. Staff wouldn't bring up food deliveries to our room, and there was a $5 charge to deliver a can of drink if we ordered from the room service menu. We were woken early on Sunday morning by someone (I assume a manager) telling off a cleaner right outside our door - not a particularly pleasant way to wake up, and the manager also seemed to be being unreasonable. They did allow us an early check in which we appreciated
