Encountered multiple issues and our stay was overall not a great experience. The location is very good though and the price is very reasonable but the following issues made the stay very unpleasant:- 1. The wifi was not working upon our arrival which delayed our check-in. We were asked to pay a security amount in cash until the card machine came back online. We were also told that a King Bed was not available even though that was what I had booked and we were asked to shift to a Twin Bed room. I insisted that I would like a King Bed and that was when we were granted the room I had booked. 2. The door lock was broken on the room we were given (Room #1). The staff members took 30+ minutes to try and fix the lock and even then it didn't work perfectly. We asked the staff to either provide us a master key for the room or to shift us to a different room as we had already been delayed during check-in and were about to miss our booking for the boat tours. Both the options were not accepted by the staff and we were told to contact the front office if the lock presented any issues upon our return at night. 3. Due to this, we were unable to make it to our boat tour and had to beg to be allowed into the next slot. Upon our return, as we feared, we were locked out of our room again as the key card was not working. We tried calling the front office 13+ times to no avail. Somehow, we were able to get the lock working on our own. 4. After a long day, we just wanted to get a good night's sleep but the AC in the room was not working! Since the front office was not available, we had no choice but to ask for help from the staff member staying next door to our room. She came over to inspect the AC but told her there wasn't anything she can do and we should just open a window (only 1 tiny window in the whole room which opened, btw). She also told us that we should have informed about the AC earlier but as stated above, we were dealing with the lock issues upon check-in and had no time to check out the room. 5. Upon check-out, we asked for some compensation for all the trouble but the lady told us that the AC not working wasn't even an issue as it gave us a chance to be romantic and shower together. We had to spend a sleepless night in a hot room and we feel we deserve some compensation for the same. We were told by the lady that we would get a 40% refund but it has been 20+ days without any refund. Have mailed the owner multiple times but no response from his side.

We've stayed at Advance Inn many times over the last few years and Peter was extremely kind and helpful. However, it changed ownership. Trust me, things have changed immensely and not for the better. We stayed April 22 and May 5 and both stays were less than favourable. The office is locked at all times and you have to ring a doorbell outside just to check-in. We had only one towel and no washcloths in our room (used to be two bath towels, two hand towels and two washcloths, which is the norm), which is totally unacceptable. We have chosen to no longer use these accommodations, which is unfortunate as all the work Peter did upgrading it and building up good clientele will go by the wayside. I firmly believe previously regular guests will find alternative accommodations, as will we. We can no longer recommend Advance Inn as a reasonably-priced option for a Niagara Falls stay and advise going elsewhere.

DEPLORABLE! The only word I can describe the conditions in this motel! Would give it a ZERO if I could. The 'sweet' odor that was in the room was sicking - I cannot say what the odor was only that we had to go and buy air freshener to try and get rid of it or at the least mask the smell (it DID NOT work). There was black mold in the bathroom around the window. There was no way to adjust the heat and so the room was like a sauna during the night. The mattress was so soft that you just sunk into it and struggled to even try and turn over. There was banging and slamming all night long and cars racing up and down the street well into the early morning. AGAIN DEPLORABLE! RESPOND TO REPLY! WHY would I waste my time writing a review on a place I did not stay??? Stayed in Room #7 and Room #8 has a man who lives there permanently!

The location won’t answer phone calls. I had not been able to get anyone to pick up the phone in 16 days of trying and their voicemail box is full. That’s absurd. I had a family emergency and needed to discuss altering my booking. I will NEVER stay at this location and actively recommend against booking here for your Niagara stay. EDIT: the owner seems to have nothing better to do than harass negative reviews and make racist comments (see their attack on Afghanis in another review below). If only they would answer their motel phone.

My boyfriend and I very much enjoyed our stay at this motel. The owner was very friendly, and accommodating and understanding. The room was cozy, and while other guests were up before us, they weren't obnoxiously loud and they were respectful of us trying to sleep. I felt comfortable being there. Way more than the HoJo up the road. The Jacuzzi was great & comfortable. I LOVED the unique mirrors on the dresser & Headboard! If I had ANYTHING negative to say, it would be that the mattress could be changed. Only because it was a little stiff for my liking. (I've been in an accident yrs ago that messed up my back) But, he had told us he's still in the process of upgrading everything. So, overall, it was a great experience here and I would absolutely stay at this motel again! The price was perfect. πŸ’ Thanks Peter!

Do not book here! It looks nothing like the pictures. It’s just so dirty and not worth it! As soon as I saw what it looked like I went to cancel my reservation and the owner called the police on me when I said I need the deposit back.

Worst experience I have had in a motel! The rooms are nothing like how they look in the pictures, the doors are broken, the floors are very dirty. Found bed bugs and when I went to complain to the staff so I could get my refund, he got very angry and tried to blame me for it, he also called the police because I tried to get my refund. At the end I didn’t stay at the motel or get my refund. Stay away from this place!

Free coffee, tea, cookies, and donuts for breakfast. Owner was friendly and enthusiastic. Location is ~5 min from city centre by bike and ~10 min from the Falls. Not the fanciest of inns but affordable and good value for its cost. I'd definitely stay there again!

Very good customer service. The rooms were modest and safe. No bed bugs or spiders, so I'm QUITE happy about that. I'm also happy that I couldn't hear people in other rooms. Should I ever return to this area I'd definitely stay here again.

Where do I start. Holes I'm the metal stairs. Vary loose railings.,no hot water, no toilet paper ( when I asked for more, the methy girl on the front desk told me" we have ran out, can you share). And my son got attacked by bedbugs. Don't go. If you could get a room there for $5 a night, it still is not worth it.

This place was disgusting. smelled like urine and smoke. I cant imagine bringing children here. The front desk man unnessisarily walked me to my room when I arrived and I felt very uncomfortable about it, my boyfriend followed after us quickly as I dont think the man realised I wasnt alone even though my reservatin was for two. The keycards need a serious update and the neighbours were loud all night, the walls were VERY thin. This motel has yet to retun my safety deposit back even though it has been more than 3 days and they did in fact charge my card instead of "holding" the $125. I have contacted Air bnb of whom I reserved through and will be contacting my bank if I do not see a return in my account by the end of this week. I know I did not damage the room in anyway shape or form and I am very irritated that i have inquired an additional charge of $125. I will not be returning to this establishment unless it is to demand my money back. This place was terrible.

Great motel ! The service’s people was very nice with me, and the room was spacious et functional. I was just a little cold in the room but it was -10Β° outside, and the manager gave me a second radiator to it can be more hot. The essential is that in the bed, I was hot enough. Otherwise it was very great for the price. Some people in comments are too demanding for 49$ by night. So I highly recommended.

We had two rooms due to the first room (Room #1) not having a working lock on the window and had german roaches in the bathroom. The second room (Room #10) had no bugs, thankfully. The pros: Very close to the tourist areas and the falls. We walked every time. The price is very cheap compared to other places. We stayed for 6 nights for under $300 USD. The staff were very polite despite one of the workers we spoke to didn't understand English very well. No bedbugs are seen at all. The cons: We saw two German cockroaches in our first room. And where there are two, there are more. There was black mold in the shower. Everything was generally kind of dirty. The fridge was sticky. The microwave had food splatter. The chairs were stained. The bed was super worn out. Window didn't lock in the first room and had to move rooms. The bathroom floor was very dirty. The A/C hardly blew with any sort of force that would cool in the summer. The heat is not controlled in the room, so you are at the wim of the owners. We came back to our room being super hot on a warm fall day because the heat was on. The motel, in general, is kind of run down. I am no stranger to cheap motels. I tend to try to save money on the room while spending more on food and entertainment. The price and distance to the action was a huge selling point, but the pictures of the motel listed are kind of a trap. Rooms look much worse in person, and seeing two roaches right away kind of ruined the stay. If you're balling on a budget and don't mind taking precautions with your belongings to prevent bringing pests home, this motel might be for you. I won't stay here again but I am sure you can do worse.

BED BUGS DONT STAY HERE! Not sure how anyone could possibly give this place higher then 1 star. Upon checking in I walked up the stairs and there was a needle on one of the stairs. I mentioned it to the lady who showed us to our room and she quickly cleaned it up. We brought a few things in, i took a shower and warm water lasted about 20 seconds. Then we left till about 3 am. Upon returning My buddy was on his bed I was on the chair. He starts freaking out as there is bugs crawling up his arms. I took a look and right away knew they were BED BUGS. We called the front deck and the lady came to see as I caught one and half crushed it in toilet paper. Her response was " oh no, these rooms were just FUMIGATED!" DISCUSTING PLACE! I wouldn't stay here if it was free! I have looked at the comments and the owner is accusing people of lying about their stay. I have picture proof if I get called a liar.

Right beside a homeless shelter! The location couldn't be better and oh the views from room were great, you could see all the crackheads walking up and down the lane.. on and off the property.

It's ok for a value cost room. Definitely cheaper than the Niagara averages. Get what you pay for. Basic amenities and internet access. Room was decently maintained and was clean. Location is good. Not too far from major attractions and free parking for guests.

Super retro 90's throwback rooms!! Some staff were attentive to providing service. Pretty decent location if you like being on the outskirts of the busy Falls action.

The concierge at the front was quick to check us in and out no problem. We showed up earlier than the time put in but it was still accommodated. He even offered us bottles water as a plus to our stay! Our rooms looked exactly as picture in the photos, although a bit run-down, specifically the soap bar stand and shower tap in the bathroom. The areas around these looked like it was peeling off skin. There was a mini fridge and microwave, but no kettle or pot to boil water in our room (we brought our own coffee). We were also a few towels short, which the concierge was quick to provide upon request. Overall it was a decent stay here. The room was tidy and spacious for our luggage and foods. There was little noise around us, and the Inn is located at a very quiet neighborhood, even over the Christmas long weekend. It is also an easy walking distance from Niagara's "Fun street" and other touristy areas near the falls within 20-30 minute walk. Wifi works and TV has cable. So. we get what we paid for. It's a good stay if you are travelling on a budget.

This lovely motel is a hidden gem, 20 minute walking distance to Clifton Hill, 30 minute walking distance to the Falls. The owners, Peter and Perpetua are very kind and hospitable. Mohit, their receptionist is awesome and explains everything really well. My son and I are enjoying our stay at Advance Inn! The rooms are renovated with laminate flooring and nice new furniture. The bed sheets and towels are clean and the room smells fresh. The room is equipped with a mini fridge, a microwave, a large LG TV with cable. The WiFi is very good and the Air conditioner is perfect! The bathtub and sink are a bit older but very clean. The added bonus is that we get to see the nightly 10 p.m. fireworks from our back window!! Another added bonus is that the parking is Free. Great value for your money! We will definitely make this our go to Motel, everytime we visit Niagara Falls Ontario.

DO NOT STAY AT THE ADVANCE INN . The sheets are filthy. Furniture covered in stains . I didn’t stay the night because it was disgusting . They agreed to refund my money but days later see a charge on card. The owner stated he charged me partial of the rate . A shady thing to do after agreeing a full refund.

Me and my FiancΓ© stayed here for the duration of our trip to Niagara Falls. I was a little worried seeing the mixed reviews on Google, but all the negative reviews seem to be falsely placed. We were checked in by Kelly, who was an absolute sweetheart the entire stay. Checking in to make sure we had clean towels and sheets and making us feel very welcomed! The room was very pleasant. No bed bugs or any bugs except for a few flies we let in. For the price, definitely worth it!
