Great place to stay. Kid friendly. Heated pool. Large suite apartment has two queen size beds and a pull out sofa. Has a full kitchen with utensils and cups included. Has a dishwasher, washer and dryer, spacious bathroom, two flatscreens. Great staff very friendly and accommodating. Can’t wait to come another time and I will definitely be recommending this place to friends. Beach and boardwalk is only a 2 min drive away.

Starlight was a great beach motel for sure! Definitely one of the better ones if not the BEST I’ve stayed in at the Jersey Shore. All these reviews are true, at first I was like wow.. no bad reviews. Lol but it’s for a reason! The pool is a great size, as the rooms are pretty big also. We stayed in a two queen and a twin. The room was also super clean, beds were comfortable and the ladies in the front were very friendly. The only thing that we weren’t crazy about at first was sharing a parking spot with someone and having to give our keys to the desk if we park someone in.. however we didn’t have issues with it so it worked out fine during our trip. I will definitely stay here again, Ortley is such a cute area and I definitely liked it much better than staying in Seaside for sure. Thanks Ortley and Starlight for a great beach getaway! 💖🌊☀️

Head and shoulders above the rest. The hotel staff never stops working to make your stay perfect. Michelle worked with me on multiple questions, changes to reservations, and accomodations. She was super patient, very informative, and caring enough to ensure we were provided an amazing stay. Elayne and Sarah were incredibly helpful, constantly available, and made sure any needs were taken care of. Angelo is a non-stop machine that makes sure every detail at the motel is just right. His never ending fountain of energy helps makes the place sparkle. With help from everyone at the motel, I was able to put together an amazing marriage prososal that was the icing on the cake. It can't be easy dealing with as many people as come through this motel, but everyone here made it just about one of the best vacations ever, so much so that the kids were asking if we were coming back next year. Can't wait to be here again!

The Starlight Motel was a great place for a quick end of summer getaway for myself and my two granddaughters. Having stayed at The Starlight before, I knew it would be spotlessly clean. I was not disappointed. From the friendly greeting upon arrival to the last cup of coffee as I checked out, everything was great. Our room was clean and very comfortable. In addition to clean rooms, the outdoor areas were extremely clean as well. The proximity to so many fun places is ideal, and the on site pool is lovely. Thank you and see you next summer!

We stay here every year and absolutely love the Starlight. It's family-friendly and very clean. The only negative thing about the Starlight is having to leave there. ❤️

We have been staying here at this hotel for a long time and never had a problem until two weeks ago. We had reservations two weeks ago and couldn't make it due to a person in our party being in the hospital very sick. We had called and Michelle was very rude to us. I know they have a policy about cancellations but it is not like we canceled for no reason. We had to still pay. Well with the rudeness of the staff we will not be staying there anymore.

Great location. Walking distance to the boardwalk and have a fun arcade just across the street. If the beach isn’t doing it for you just hang by the pool. You can tell the owners and staff take a lot of pride in the property. Just an awesome place to stay.

This is the nicest motel we have ever stayed in. It was super clean and well kept. The guy that was working the night shift was really nice and pleasant to talk to. I definitely would stay here again and recommend it to anybody visiting Jersey.

The pool is not monitored and not kept clean. I received pink eye likely from swimming in the pool. The premises reeks. The employees are kind but not very helpful. Good rate.

Wonderful motel! Clean rooms, great service, great pool, beach badges provided (motel is one block to the beach). My husband and me stayed for a few days with our 3 and 4 year old boys. We had a wonderful time. George was so nice and helped us bring all of our bags to the room which was extremely helpful. I left a few items in the room after checkout and the hotel staff went above and beyond to mail our items to our home. We appreciated that very much. Class acts. We can’t wait to visit again next summer!

This place is awesome. Short walk to beach. Close to arcade, mini golf, ice cream, coffee, restaurants. You can walk everywhere. Spotlessly clean. Well maintained. The staff is amazing and always ready to help. They provide ice and coffee in the lobby as well as a beach badge for the week. We love it!!

Yearly end-of-school vacation spot! Pool, beach, bbqs! Amazing time to be had by all :) ACME supermarket is a 7 minute drive away for all of your food/beverage needs.

We stayed here for a weekend and had a great experience. The rooms were very clean and well maintained - especially the bathroom. In a very busy area, we found the rooms surprisingly quiet. The pool was refreshing and I especially liked the beach just a 2 minute walk away. There is juice bar just down the street and a great place for eggs and lunch across. I found the staff very friendly and helpful. I had left my phone charger in the room and they called to let us know before we even reached home. They were more than happy to mail it back to us. Next time we're in the area we will be staying here!

I recently stayed at the Starlight and couldn’t be happier with our experience. It is centrally located and surrounded by great food and entertainment options, including Barnacle Bill’s and the Music Man. Most importantly, it is located 1 short block from the beach. I was a little nervous pulling up to this motel with the racial climate being what it is in this country right now, but the atmosphere was welcoming I soon forgot what I was even nervous about. The staff was super helpful, the people (although out of the motels control) were very friendly, and our room was amazing. We got a king suite, which we didn't know included a kitchen, so imagine our surprise. Super spacious, super clean, would absolutely recommend!!!

My family and I always have a great time at the Starlight. We come back every summer! Very clean (safety precautions taken during COVID-19 pandemic), friendly staff (Angelo & Michelle are very accommodating) and the location is great! 5 ⭐️

Very nice and clean suites larger than the average local motel that only has one room and a bathroom. These come with a kitchenette and a living area as well. Small living but it feels like your own comfortable and cozy condo. Block away from beach and very close to nearby towns, as well as Ortley Beach shops of all types. Gets very crowded though.
