This place is magical! Perfect for a walk or a picnic near the pond with ducks/geese. The garden is always filled with flowers. One of my favourite locations in Etobicoke.

Joined the humber river recreation trail from James garden … sufficient parking and there are joint as well as separate trails for walk and biking though people also walk on the biking section since it’s mostly concrete. Was also even able to use stroller on most of the hiking trail so that too is pretty smooth. Nice spots along the trail when river photos can be taken.

A serene little park that I fear not enough people know about! The ducks were a laugh and the scenery was very soothing. A great place to clear your head with a walk. I can only imagine how beautiful it is in the summer!

What a pretty little spot, along the Humber River. Lovely duck pond to hang out by, lots of places to picnic. Great walk or bike path all the way to the Old Mill.

With the flowers and ducks and geese on the pond, the park is beautiful. There are (small) bridges that allow you to go over to the opposite side and see more. Coming in the fall is enjoyable because you can see the leaves dropping and the various colours of leaves. Also, photographing is a nice thing to do. Bike trails are available for anyone who wants to ride their bikes.

This park is a hidden gem! So many beautiful trails. There are paved trails and also unpaved ones too which I really love because it doesn't even feel like you're in Toronto. Lots of animals to see especially at the duck pond. In the fall the colours are really beautiful. Some areas have very tall majestic trees, there's a huge bridge over the Humber River and so many nice spots. A huge grassy area for picnics.

A gorgeous garden for a walk and play. They have separate trails for hiking and biking so that it's good for elders and toddlers or families with strollers. A little pond with ducks and Canada geese, squirrels, and chipmunks running around, flowers are blooming, and birds are singing, absolutely amazing!

Lovely park with open green grounds decorated with beautiful flowers. A very pleasant place to relax and go for a walk. Kids can play in the open area, interact with the squirrels and feed them nuts that fall naturally from the trees. The west side of the park has a small stream decorated beautifully with small bridges and flowers that leads to a duck pond. There’s a long scenic trail on the east side that goes along the Humber River, perfect for a walk or biking. It’s a great place to spend the day in the outdoors with your kids.

Incredible place to take children/families on a hike. The trail goes for miles and is very scenic! You can ride bikes or walk off path. There are various places to see a variety of birds, take in a scenic view of the water and just enjoy the outdoors. Heads up: go early as it gets busy anytime after 10am!

It is the best park in the city, it is very spacious and goes along Humber river. It is very well maintained, you will always find different flowers there. This is a little pond with ducks. It is enough places to play badminton it any other ball game and just relax in a shadow of old trees. For bike ride lowers, there are long roads. You can also walk for long, for hours if you like. Flowering trees are amazing in the Spring.

Started from the James Gardens, along the east side of the Humber River went southward to the Lambton Woods, crossed the bridge to the west side of the river. Further southward to the Magwood Park and returned. Saw ducks, geese, birds and squirrels along way. It was a little cold for a mid March day, but the walk was nice.

James Garden is an absolute gem! From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the tranquil beauty of the surroundings. The lush, well-maintained greenery and the serene atmosphere make it a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. I thoroughly enjoyed the hiking trails that wind through the woods, offering stunning views and a chance to connect with nature. Loved James Garden Park! Used to come here as a child with my elementary school friends so I have fond memories here. Now that I’m here visiting, my natural inclination was to visit this park. It is more beautiful than I remember it . The trails around the park is peaceful, lush and scenic. It’s a great place to go just to have a moment to oneself or with friends having a picnic or a stroll along the river. Definitely recommend this!

Great starting point to the Humber Trail. Visited on a beautiful November morning. Lots of parking with an ice cream truck at the trail head. Parking area is also beside a duck pond that the kids loved. Lots of walkers, bikers, and doggies. Heading south towards Lampton Woods leads to a bridge that crosses the river with benches to take in the views.

Sandwiched between Scarlet Mills Park and Lambton Woods, James Gardens is beautiful park that has a nice view of the Humber River. You can take a walk, run or bike along Humber River Recreational Trail. The trees are particularly beautiful in Fall season.

Beautiful trail to walk on. Options for a more concrete road to follow and one through the forest, both going along the river. Especially gorgeous in the fall. Will definitely be back!

Gorgeous park with staged blooms so there is always something to see. Paths are flat and well maintained for those with mobility issues. There are plenty of options to lengthen or shorten your walk based on individual needs.

I remember during the begining days of the pandemic, me and my mother would drop off my father to work and me and her would go to this park. Let me tell you, this park is bigger than what I thought and never gets old. But not only that, this park kinda hits personally because my parents got their wedding photos taken here and now, I get to see the images of their wedding photos in person. Honestly, an amazing park which is a go-to spot.

Great park for family picnics with tons of different displays of flowers all over the park during the summer months. Great for portraits, family photos or for those beautifull Instagram . It's also beside of the humber river trail so you have plenty of trails in the woods for those who likes bird watching or just plain old exercise In any season. As you may have guessed since it's beside the Humber river it is also great for trout fishing during the spring or salmon fishing or to watch the salmon run during the fall.
