2022 May 4.5β˜… A good size park with a playground, beach, volley ball area, open space and a boat launch. A good place to start your sea vessel onto the lake. A good amount of free parking (though on the weekends it's sure to fill up). About 60 or so right by the south side of the beaches. With additional 40 on another lot. The park itself is nice with designated areas for picnics. Public washrooms are available. Public bikes are available for rent as well. Tip: don't park along side the street (where the bikes are located) unless you want a ticket.

One of the best beaches I have been to. Suitable to go with family and friends. Enough parking spots just a minute from the beach. Greenery everywhere. Enough space to sit on grass and have a picnic or sit on the beach. The day I went there there were waves in the water which made it even more beautiful. Very peaceful and serene. Just on the other side of the beach there was splash pad and a huge playground for kids. Very nice and clean place. Definitely recommend it.

I don't why I haven't come here! We like to walk on trails and I found this one to be very breezy and cool in summer. I love the oath and cyclists are respectful and not going 100mph. It's nice, peaceful and the creek extends to lake Ontario eventually. I highly recommend going especially on hot summer days, but go early in the morning or evenings so you can stay out longer. Bring water and some snacks as you can keep walking paths. We walked a out an hour before we got to the beach area and lake. Highly recommend this park. Love it and will go back eventually.

From Saskatoon SK, I came for a work training event. Went for a drive and found the lake and park. It was cold and breezy, a little rainy, but still so pretty. I loved all the geese, ducks, and squirrels that were everywhere. Nice to see the park was clean and litter free. There were plenty of garbage and recycling bins around for people to use. There was also an open washroom that was well lit and very clean (no mirrors tho). Lake Ontario is huge! I would love to go back in the summer

Very clean park and beach. The beach is a fun place to be when the weather allows. It has lifeguard on site available. The beach is divided into two via the etobicoke creek. It also has an amazing bicyle trail.

The place is nice and huge. Bike rental is available for $3.50 plus tax for 30 min. The bike conditions were really good. This park has access to the beach but again it's not that clean and since I was there on Monday I can see green algae on the shore. But the life guard was there for safety, the water was a bit cold. There is a kids park there. The bike trail is really nice. Sandy beach volleyball is great as well! BBQ: did not get a chance to do bbq but others were doing there so i believe it was allowed.

Loved the vibe and the weekend chills. Such a nice park very friendly and you can have a cute picnic there. There were people bathing and BBQing at the beach too. ⛱️ it was super friendly and don't forget to get a snowcone or some ice cream!

Wow! Beautiful park and beach! Hidden gem. This park has everything you need to enjoy some time at the waterfront: paths for walking, launch pad for water sports, clean beach, accessible swimming, picnic tables, and more!

Hide park of Toronto One of the biggest parks of Great Toronto Area. It located on west part of the city. Not far from lake Ontario. The great river and so many huge and beautiful trees 🌳 and a long walk side inside the park. On the middle of May is the best time to watch beautiful cherry blossoms 🌸 . It is really beautiful 😍 and fantastic. I recommend it πŸ‘Œ πŸ‘. Don't miss it on May.

Marie Curtis Waterfront Park, which is in proximity to Samuel Smith Park and Humber Bay parks, is a colossal natural area that has many diverse things to offer to everyone. There are green areas with lots of trees, lawns, vegetation, birds and plenty of picnic areas. The children play ground is sizable, and in summer, lots of children and their guardians enjoy the splash pad. Additionally, there are short and long paved trails for walking or cycling. The sandy beach is considerably big, and you can witness all kinds of shore activities such as sunbathing, swimming, canoeing, boating, and enjoying the immense natural scenery. Two long piers provide amazing 360 degree view of the enormous Lake Ontario, and picturesque Toronto and Mississauga skylines. My wife and I had a pleasant experience at this waterfront park in Etobicoke, Toronto.

Beautiful scenery and was kept very clean! We loved how there were so many different types of animals just in the water here such as different types of ducks, geese and swans which made it really interesting as they were all friendly and cute. Looks like there’s always people feeding them here so that was special to see! Views were gorgeous and was really fun walking along the lake to admire the houses and scenery of the lake. Would come back for sure in the summer.

Found this place a few years ago before the pandemic, this is a great place for kids to come down and spend the day. There is tons of space to either have a picnic play at the splash pad or enjoy the beach. It does become very hard to find parking in the afternoon so best bet it is to come early so you can get a spot. There is a food vendor on location which is a bit pricy but the food is good.

Nice park at the lakefront. This is the place where Etobicoke creek meets the lake. It has a nice little beach, dont expect it to be white sandy but nice enough to be on a sunny day while kids enjoy the sand and water. The park also has a splash pad and play area. Splash pad is operational only during summer months. Google maps directs to east side parking lot, which gets busy during good weather days. I would suggest parking in the lot, which is on west side of the park, right beside the dog park as that has more spaces.

This is my favourite park around here. Located amond buildings, this park provides good space to people of all ages. There are huge gardens, a fountain place for kids, bridges and trails, quiet areas for basking in sun too. Usually closed in winter months but spring and summer it is open.

Massive yet gorgeous park located right on the shore of Lake Ontario. There are plenty of paved trails for cycling & walking (always keep to the right if you're walking and you'll be fine) as well as wooden trails for walking and mountain biking. The beach/shore and pier offer a view of the CN Tower and Toronto skyline in the distance, and there is also a fenced off-leash dog park for canine companions. PARKING: the lot can get filled rather quickly, so make sure you arrive early!

Marie Curtis Park is a very big and spacious park with lots of parking and lots of different activities on both side of the water. It can be very busy, but there is lots to do.. playgrounds, picnics, beach, some like to swim here.. boat launch, fishing, trails. During the day the park hosts day camps but there is lots of room for everyone. The only issue is the shape of the parking lot and drive into the parking area. badly needs repair and maintenance.

Parking is free, limited since phase 3 is open now. Be careful of the parking on the west see one of the photos I uploaded. Good place with a good combination of parks, beach, BBQ, shared bike & walking track and a playfield with splash pads for kids. The washroom is available. Food joint in the park Sunset Beach Cafe.

Beautiful park along the lakeshore. Gets really busy on the weekends in the summer and finding parking is very difficult. Beach area is really nice. Volley ball courts are a nice addition as well. Could definitely use with more facilities like washrooms and sand washing stations.

A good place to hangout, sit on the beach or do some recreational activities such as kayaking. One of the few parks where I have seen a cafe that serve good food. Decent parking space in two places around the park.

Great park, wonderful place to see ducks and ducklings. As is true of all the waterside parks there is the usual shortage of parking particularly on holiday weekends or other such peak times. Otherwise no complaints.

An amazing waterfront park, part of the Great Waterfront trail and even has an offkeash digpark. The off-leash is a little sad, all sand with no trees or shade. It is much better to spend you tine walking along the lake or if you like a little more quiet, hard north up the Etobicoke Creek trail. You can easily get in 10k or more or just go until your legs say it is time for home. See you on the trail.

Park is home to the Etobicoke Creek Trail, the Waterfront Trail, and one of the more lesser-known, and possibly most underappreciated beaches in Toronto with free parking, sandy beach and a beautiful lake view. Relax on the boardwalk benches or enjoy picnics on the greens. Spent yesterday evening there witnessing other people Kayaking, fishing, playing volleyball, walking their rabbits. Also have ice cream truck there. By the water front side have wall that could utilize for sitting but on west side needs more benches where people could sit enjoy the view. The beach area need a little bit clean up to maintain the park.

It has it all. Great family park close to the lake with a walking and bike trail close by. Free parking kids play ground. It’s perfect. Under some construction right now but it’s still usable.

We were actually planning on attending the Etobicoke Creek dog park but it's closed. So we ended up here and it was pleasantly surprised. Dog Park is a sand/stone mixture, large area. The beach is so clear and the trails are an easy walk. Lots of bike traffic.

It was Canada Day, the place was a little busy. The beach was beautiful, though it could use a cleanup. The lake smelled good, not when it was mixed with cannabis skunky. Too many bikers were everywhere. A lot parties, celebrations or events were going on. Liked the quiet trails nearby.

The park that I visit on a regular basis. Clean, spacious and good for those who are into sports. It’s on the lakeshore so the views are captivating ☺️

Great place for biking. There are bike trails throughout the wooded area, and some ramps and jumps in the forest for biking. Also the beach is nice if the pollution is low, and it's not overly crowded. They are doing some major construction on the East side near the water front.

I am glad I went there. Pretty close to GTA. I wanted to enjoy a nice sunny day at beach πŸ–οΈ and didn't want to drive 2 or 3 hours just to explore sun and sand. This beach is not the prettiest or the cleanest but it still really nice to spend all day with kids. There was an Ice Cream 🍦 truck too. My daughter loved playing with sand and water. 🌊 There were lot of seagals looking for food.

playground, wading pool, a public swimming beach, picnic spots and walking trails including a connection to the Waterfront Trail. Parking might be quite challenging during rush days (weekends). Perfect for families. Marie Curtis Park is named after the Longbranch Reeve (a small village) Mayor Marie Curtis and is one of the few beaches in North America named after a female community leader. This park was created in the late 1950's to help control flooding after Hurricane Hazel nearly swept local homes in the area out into Lake Ontario. Throughout this park, you can find an abundance of wildlife and native plants. There is a You will always find something to do at Marie Curtis Park.

Marie Curtis Park in Etobicoke is a hidden gem worth discovering. With its stunning waterfront location along Lake Ontario, it offers breathtaking views and a serene atmosphere. The park provides a range of recreational activities, including walking trails, swimming, fishing, and kayaking. The Bird Sanctuary within the park is a paradise for birdwatchers, offering a chance to observe a variety of species. Families will appreciate the well-equipped playground and spacious picnic areas. Overall, Marie Curtis Park is a must-visit destination for nature lovers and those seeking a peaceful escape in Etobicoke.

One of the best parks in this area, it is big and beautiful. You should plan and reach early since it may have parking issues as it is busier on the weekends. It has a boat launch place as well. Really enjoyed my picnic with friends here.

  • 3/5 Hasini R. 2 years ago on Google
Good waterfront park with nice sand beach. Park and surrounding area is clean and neat. Playground and splash area for kids, walking trails and biking area too. One big disadvantage and irritating thing here is there is lot of INSECTS spamming the area which makes uncomfortable to play or walk or to do any activity. So plan accordingly when thought of visiting park. That's only reason giving low rating.
